Pursuit

"There are over a dozen Grade 4 Genesis Beasts! This isn't good!"

Lu Luo was beginning to panic wildly, riding on her Little Frost. Unfortunately for them, they could not make any turns and could only move straight ahead, or they would be caught up to. The fleeing group of 3 could only hope that Genesis beasts would not kill them whilst also allowing them to escape from their pursuers.

Under everyone's gazes, a Qi Undulation burst from the mountain creating a look akin to a mammoth flame.

It was a very dignified and divine gold colour, causing scepticism between them all.

"They say that there is a leader of the Genesis Beasts that protects the Golden Pools. Unfortunately, it seems that such rumours may be correct this time around."

"All we can hope is that we don't sustain too many injuries in the ensuing chaos, giving us the opportunity to escape, even if the Alpha Beast may be able to kill us."

Zhou Yuan's complexion revealed worry in his features. He was not completely sure just how well the plan they had devised would actually work, but it was all they had.

Suddenly, like a god emerging from his throne, a silhouette of a humanoid figure rose and began floating in the fire. He exuded a terrifying Genesis Qi, one filled with absolute power.

From beneath the figure, another silhouette burst to life. It was giant and monstrous, at least 20 times the size of the humanoid figure, with an extremely daunting and muscular body.

"A human?"

"It seems as though they are coming toward us."

As they got closer, the light became more distinguishable, revealing to the group that the figures were in fact Tuntun and Julong.

Tuntun seemed to be in an uncontrollable state of rage. This seemed to be brought on from something Julong had said to him as they got closer.

"That's them, Tuntun. They are the one's who hurt Yao Yao."

The pursuers of Zhou Yuan, Lu Luo and the one who Julong didn't know the name of, stopped. Apparently, after their last encounter, they were much more sceptical about him.

"Wan Julong..."

Wu Huang could be heard audibly whispering. Ye Ming looked at him momentarily.

"We're leaving. If we get into another fight with him, I don't know what could happen."

"That would be the best course of action."

Wu Huang could not go against what Ye Ming had said. Fighting Julong right now would be equal to throwing their lives away.

They all turned around and began to fly away.

"How pitiful... Tuntun now's your chance. Go avenge Yao Yao."

Tuntun roared in response as if to signal he was indeed going to attack. It proved true as he launched forward in chase of the group.

Lu Luo and Zhou Yuan seemed to sigh in relief seeing both Tuntun and Julong, their friend however was a little worried.

"Haha, don't worry, these two are our friends. We're safe now.

He seemed to calm down a little.

"That's good news. I thought we were done for, for a second there.

It was at that point they turned to watch Tuntun, who was going in for an attack on Wu Huang.

Wu Huang thinking that he was no threat, thanks to Julong being there, and the main reason that they had to flee in the first place, thought that he would be able to incapacitate the Genesis Beast.

How wrong he was.

They exchanged a singular clash. Blood sprayed into the air, though it was not from the expected target, but Wu Huang! His arm now had a large bloody gash running from his shoulder to his elbow.

"Dammit!"

Ye Ming was also expecting a different outcome, hence his outburst.

"I didn't want to do this, but we may not be able to leave this time if I don't. Night Devil Qi, Night Devil Heaven!"

From his body, a green and black world burst forth. No one was particularly worried and watched solemnly as they were swallowed by the Technique. It lasted only a few seconds before they were back in the real world, Wu Huang, Ye Ming and his followers, gone.

"Of course, they got away! Why wouldn't he have a technique like that!?"

The one yelling was none other than Lu Luo.

"Right as we turned the tables on them too!"

Zhou Yuan only chuckled at her outburst before both Julong and Tuntun approached them. He looked at them with a smile, which was returned by Julong, and the equivalent of a smile from Tuntun.

"Are you all alright?"

Zhou Yuan nodded, answering for the other two with him.

"They didn't manage to actually hit us with anything."

"That's good. Now, aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Right. This is Zhen Xu. We encountered him while fleeing. He was also fighting one of the people chasing us."

Zhen Xu looked at Julong.

"I heard Wu Huang say your name was Wan Julong. It's an honour to meet you, now that I know you are the most powerful in the Domain."

"Likewise, Zhen Xu. I can feel your power, you are quite strong."

All of a sudden, thanks to the hostile encounter they had just been a part of, ending, the Tablet in the sky lit up once more.

'Jian Quan, battled Zhen Xu, victory.'

'Zhu Ying, battled Lu Luo, narrow victory.'

'Zhou Yuan, battled Zhu Ying, victory.'

Once the messages had been inscribed, it once again laid dormant with no new information.

Lu Luo and Zhen Xu tried to come up with excuses, despite no one but themselves really paying attention. Julong and Zhou Yuan were both more focused on the fact Zhou Yuan himself had gotten on the Battle Accomplishment List.

"Congratulation, Zhou Yuan."

Tuntun jumped up onto his shoulder and gave him a nod of approval.

"Thanks."

"No need to thank me. Now if Tuntun allows it, follow me. I'll lead you three to the Golden Pools."

Zhen Xu and Lu Luo instantly stopped trying to convince themselves and looked at Tuntun who had been given the final decision.

He lowered his head in dissatisfaction before giving a small nod. He had let Julong through, so of course, he would also have to allow the others in.

Jumping off Zhou Yuan's shoulder. He took off in the direction of the pools, followed by Julong leaving the rest of them standing there.

"Well come on. The world won't stop to wait for you."
