Evolutionary Gold Mine

As it turns out, there were quite a few underwater tunnels inside of the lake beneath the cliffside that he had just blown up. In fact, there were so many, he had almost instantly lost track of Zhou Yuan leaving him to his own devices, exploring the underwater caves using Genesis Qi to stop him from drowning.

He had currently come across a tunnel that split into five different directions and was not sure which tunnel would be wise in taking.

What to do? What to do?

Just like all the other times he had been in such a predicament when he was younger and exploring, his Ancestral Dragon Spirit appeared on his forehead and told him which tunnel to go down.

The one second to the left. Got it.

He swam down the seemingly never-ending underground tunnel, taking him to another intersection, which his Spirit yet again helped him out of.

When he finally came to an area that had an air bubble, he was greeted with a secluded underground cave. It had no exits, nor entrances. Surprisingly, there were a few plants that supplied oxygen to the area. It was a little odd that the plants were down there, especially since there would have been no CO2 for them to respire from.

Interesting...

What was more interesting was the fact that his Spirit was the one that guided him there, meaning there was bound to be something beneficial about it, otherwise it would have just guided him to the exit.

That was when it once again told him something.

It told him to break the ground beneath him.

His Spirit had never been wrong, so he did as told.

He punched the ground with a fist filled with Grade-6 Omni Serpent Qi. It collapsed immediately, and incredibly easily, revealing a trifling aura of power.

How had he not been able to sense it before? The Saint Remains Domain was truly a mind-boggling place.

He floated down to the ground, where hovering over a spectacular mount of lively plants was a golden drop of blood. He could immediately deduce the origin of this blood thanks to having lived with a Saint for a while. The power it exuded gave it away very clearly. This was a drop of Saint Blood.

When the Saint Cang Xuan died, his drops of blood supposedly opened up multiple Domains, but wasn't there only supposed to be one drop of Saint Blood per Domain? How would he just stumble upon it? It didn't really add up.

If he was correct, there were probably more drops of Saint Blood. While Saints were powerful, even Julong had doubted that just a single drop could have created a Domain so large. It was literally the size of one of the main continents of the Cangxuan Heaven itself.

His theory was proven correct when his Spirit affirmed it for him.

Despite there being more than one, there was still not many, and the drop of blood would be extremely powerful for Cultivating.

He immediately sat down. If he evolved his Techniques in the presence of such a powerful artifact, maybe they would make some unexpected jumps in power.

He summoned his Heavenly Saint Edge, deciding to evolve it first and foremost. He laid the treasures he needed to evolve it, that being a Phoenix Feather, a pure Jade Tablet, and a drop of Grade 4 Genesis Beast blood.

Instead of using his own Qi for the evolution, he decided to use the almost limitless amount of Genesis Qi radiating from the drop of Saint Blood.

He channelled the four different Genesis Qi's in front of him into the Heavenly Saint Edge, making it rattle, almost like it was happy.

It began glowing slightly before it returned to its original state. The 3 treasures he laid out in front of him were now gone, absorbed by the spear. But this was not something that Julong paid attention to, he was more attentive to the weapon itself. The evolution had gone far better than expected. His Heavenly Saint Edge had become a Mid-Grade Heaven Genesis Weapon. He was only expecting it to become a Little Heaven Genesis Weapon, or maybe even just a Low-Grade Heaven Genesis Weapon, but that clearly was not the case. Was it even possible for him to wield such a weapon in his current state?

He picked it up and twirled it in his fingers. He channelled Genesis Qi into it, filling it to its maximum. He had no problem whatsoever, he felt as if he was just generally manipulating Genesis Qi. This was something unheard of. Only the most talented Heavens Gate Practitioners of the Advanced Stage could sometimes wield Low-Grade Heaven Genesis Techniques and Weapons, and that was it, if they went any higher they would not be able to control them in the slightest.

"Incredible..."

Jumping out of his shock, he instantly got to work on evolving his Spears of Divine Light, and while he was at it, his Ancestral Super Nova. Unfortunately, he was unable to evolve his other techniques, other than the Ancestral Sword Shuttle, which he opted against since the Ancestral Super Nova could double as it.

Both the evolved Techniques came out as Mid-Grade Heaven Genesis Techniques, and unsurprisingly, the Spears of Divine Light was now stronger than the Ancestral Super Nova, which used to be his most powerful Technique. Just how monstrous were the Spears of Divine Light when fully evolved?

Julong looked back over to the drop of Saint Blood. Thanks to his massacring of the Genesis Beasts in the area, he was halfway to the Middle-Stage of the Heavens Gate Realm.

He grinned at the artifact. Considering how much aura it was still exuding, he was certain he would have a very beneficial amount of time with it.

Here I come Middle-Stage!

And with that Julong once again closed his eyes, focusing on the Genesis Qi around his body.

Well then, let's not waste any more time and dig into the main course, shall we?
