Decisive Extermination

Qingchan clicked her fingers, and like a storm, Genesis Qi cascaded over the sky. It created a whirlwind over the land and caused havoc in the pack of resting Genesis Beasts. It only subsided when a large ethereal boundary of phantasmal colour took over the sky. The Genesis Beasts were now officially trapped.

The trio of Cultivators finally hopped the artificial-looking ridge, ready to engage on said Genesis Beasts. If it was going to go anyway like Julong was expecting, it was going to be an absolute slaughter.

Wasting no time, Qingchan set her course toward the centre of the pack. Her eyes were set on the Alpha Genesis Beast. Due to this, the eyes of all the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts were set on her. There were 5 in total and the large growls that sounded from their maw almost rumbled the ground around them. The remaining Grade 4 Genesis Beasts retreated behind them, trying to hack away at the boundary to no effect. Only the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts would be able to do anything to it.

"I'm going to engage on the Alpha Genesis Beast, you two deal with the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts as we discussed. If you kill them before I finish, come help me first and foremost. If we want to kill the Grade 4 Genesis Beasts, we'll do it after we defeat the Alpha."

Without waiting for a response Qingchan shot off, rapidly encroaching on the Alpha Genesis Beast. As she was doing so, Julong looked toward Xiao Dai.

"As I'm sure you know, I won't be able to do much but finish off the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts, I'll have to rely on you to do most of the damage."

Xiao Dai, in comparison to Julong, was an abnormally strong Eighth-Layer Alpha-Origin Expert with around 22,000 Genesis Qi Stars. If you were to look at her side by side with a normal Eighth-Layer Expert, who would usually have 4000 Genesis Qi Stars, there was a stark difference. In fact, it was predicted that Xiao Dai would be able to reach around 50,000 Genesis Qi Stars when she hit the Ninth Layer of the Alpha-Origin Stage. However, Qingchan would still have a lead of around 30,000 with 80,000 Genesis Qi Stars.

Generally, when a person broke through into the Initial Divine-Dwelling Realm, to which Low-Grade 5 Genesis Beasts were equivalent, an ordinary person would have around 400,000 Genesis Qi Stars. Thankfully, due to the lack of intelligence in the Low-Grade 5 Genesis Beasts, their power equivalent was only around 20,000 Genesis Qi Stars. This was because they were not able to utilise the incredible power that Genesis Qi allowed. More importantly, this meant that Xiao Dai would be able to damage them. Unfortunately, this also meant Julong could not do much against them. Even so, he was a lot more concerned about Qingchan who was fighting an Alpha Genesis Beast. Because it was born with slight intelligence its combat power was far greater than the other Low-Grade 5 Genesis Beasts with around 85,000 Genesis Qi Stars. Essentially, Qingchan was lacking 5,000 Genesis Qi Stars and was in a losing battle. Fortunately, it could have definitely been worse. If the Genesis Beast had adapted its own intelligence rather than being born with it, its power would be far greater, equivalent to an Initial Divine-Dwelling Expert.

"That's okay, as long as you can kill them after I've done some decent damage, it will be fine." Julong nodded at this. "Now speaking of, allow me to show you my Low-Grade Heaven Genesis Technique Yin and Yang Combustion Lightning"

Xiao Dai put her hands together, as Genesis Qi rushed toward them. She slowly spread them apart creating a black and white sphere that radiated Yin and Yang Qi. Putting the sphere in one hand, she used the other to smear it in front of her creating a line of Yin and Yang Qi which quickly faded. merely a few seconds later, black and white lightning began to explode down onto the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts like heat-seeking missiles.

Unlike normal lightning, when the Yin and Yang lightning hit, incredible explosions shook the land. The explosions were more akin to bombs than lightning strikes. They were more powerful than his Spears of Divine Light, and that was a Mid-Grade Heaven Genesis Technique. This spoke miles to how much Genesis Qi Stars impacted the power of Genesis Techniques.

"Incredible."

The explosions were so profound that they fragmented the ground with craters that were meters deep and wide. To think such power came from small strikes of lightning from a mere Eighth-Layer Alpha Origin Expert astounded Julong. He couldn't wait for the Third-Layer, let alone the Eighth-Layer.

Cries rang out from the afflicted Genesis Beasts who were quickly sustaining irreversible damage. Their roars of pain conveyed just how dangerous the Yin and Yang lightning really was.

After the lightning strikes halted and the dust cleared, Julong finally got a clear view of the Genesis Beasts. They were heavily wounded and barely looked like they could walk. There was no doubt Julong could kill the Genesis Beasts now.

Five small specks of white light appeared in a line in front of Julong. Large spears soon began to materialise and expand from the specks of light, forming into the easily recognisable Spears of Divine Light. They shone like stars in the light and from Xiao Dai, once again evoked a feeling of surprise. Like many others, she never expected to encounter the Technique in her life, let alone from the boy next to her.

"Well, I can't say that my Yin and Yang Combustion Lightning quite compares to those spears, Julong."

He merely laughed.

"Yes, well, not many Techniques do. Though currently, the lightning used by you is more powerful thanks to your higher Alpha Origin Layer."

At that moment he launched the spears. They rocketed toward the five injured Genesis Beasts, lodging themselves indie the collar of the grotesque animals. Julong clenched his hand, and like a fuse had been set off, they exploded, killing off the poor beasts. If anything they had been put out of their misery.

"That was an easier task than what I thought it would be."

Xiao Dai couldn't help but agree with what he had said, if he hadn't finished them off, it would have been just as easy for her to do the same.

"Quick, let's go help out Li Qingchan."

"Mmm!"

Humming in agreement, Julong and Xiao Dai quickly shot toward the fight between the Alpha Genesis Beast and Qingchan. Looking from afar it was clear to see that Qingchan, despite being the one with what was supposed to be a comparably lower amount of power, was in control of the fight.

They arrived to see Qingchan hovering in the air over the beast. She summoned two lotuses made from pink Genesis Qi and lobbed them forward allowing them to swirl around each other as they streamlined toward the Alpha Genesis Beast.

A large explosion ensued as the two lotus impacted the body of the beast. Thanks to this, it was pushed back a few metres, and more importantly dealt a decent amount of damage, specifically to its hide. It growled angrily in response and rushed forward, coming within arm's length of Qingchan before it was once again blasted back and out of the sky.

Qingchan looked toward the two revealing Xiao Dai to be the reason the Alpha Genesis Beast was knocked out of the sky. Taking advantage of the negligence the beast had shown, Xiao Dai had launched a surprise attack with some empowered Yin Qi, which greatly affected the heightened amount of Yang inside of the creature.

"Thank you, Xiao Dai."

She nodded. "No problem."

Julong, who was more focused on the beast watched as it realised it was in a losing battle and began to run away.

"Sorry to ruin your moments you two, but he's starting to run."

"Right."

They chased after the Alpha Genesis Beast until it came into contact with the Grade 4 Genesis Beasts that had been trying to escape the boundary. Just like said Genesis Beasts, it too attempted to attack the boundary, though surprisingly it didn't even scratch it. Opposing their prior prediction about the Grade 5 Genesis Beasts being able to destroy the boundary, the poor thing couldn't even cause a dent to appear.

Qingchan put her hand out, allowing a vast power to congregate around it.

Crushing power was brought up from the earth enveloping all of the Genesis Beasts, including the Alpha. They all began to scream in pain, and before Xiao Dai and Julong could properly register what had happened, the biggest explosion of the day took place.

It was so vast Julong could feel the heat that it had produced from tens of metres away.

Xiao Dai looked over at Qingchan with stars in her eyes. He was seriously beginning to wonder if the reason she held so much respect and awe for Qingchan was because she was a Chosen or because she was just some sort of super fan of QIngchan herself.

When all the haze and displaced rock cleared, only the disfigured and burned corpses of the Genesis Beasts remained. A mixture of pure Genesis Qi, Life Solarity Qi and Yang Qi hung over the pile of corpses, making all three of the practitioners excited for their harvest. In fact Julong only had one word in mind looking at the Qi.
