10 Gravity vs Gravity

Antlike here... Just wanting to say a few things to you guys before I go to sleep.

Exiting the corridor, Kotei arrived at the place where all the other students were gathered, each one of his steps was slow and calculated, like a machine.

Seeing him emerging from the exit, Momo in her revealing hero costume walked toward him.

"Kotei-kun! Your costume is amazing!" She said, a little excited and fidgeting on the spot.

She wouldn't admit it, but she was waiting for him to praise her costume as well.

"Thanks. Mine is not so amazing. Your's particularly efficient and looks good on you." He replied, looking briefly at her costume.

Inside his head, he was comparing her to his girlfriend for a second before he nodded at himself.

'Nejire's cuter.'

Some would immediately think that it was unnecessary too revealing, but Kotei was only thinking about the efficiency of the costume.

"Th-thanks!" She replied, honestly happy to have been praised.

Momo then noticed the swirling black hole on his torso and the crown floating above his head, but she only thought of it as an accessory

"What is this?" She asked, pointing at the black hole.

"That? It's a little trick from my quirk. For now, it is a secret." He replied, a small smirk on his face.

"Maybe you will be able to see it in use today."

It was quite rare to see him being secretive about something to her. So her curiosity immediately got aroused.

A few seconds after, the last student came through the corridor with a costume that could be considered rather pathetic.

The boy that Kotei recognized as Midoriya went toward Uraraka and began to talk with her.

"All of your styles are very cool!" All Might yelled.

A student in a whole armor lifted his hand and asked a question to the number one hero.

"Sensei! Regarding the performance ground, we'll be using the mock-city from the entrance exam?"

"Not exactly! The trial will be an indoor battle trial!!"

'Indoor...' Kotei couldn't help but think. If it was in a closed-environment, his techniques will be more versatile.

"Villain-cleanup is usually seen out in the open, but statistically, the better part of it is an indoor job.

Most acts of villainy are committed indoors."

Some students let out some surprised shouts.

"Imprisonment, house arrest... the black market. In this hero saturated society, any villain with intelligence is lurking in the shadows!"

'Indeed, it is true.' Kotei thought. The words All Might just say were very accurate.

"For this test, you'll separate into 'villain' and 'hero' groups... For a TWO-ON-TWO TEAM BATTLE!"

"?!" The students were very surprised to learn that they will work in teams of two.

"What about the foundational training?" The girl with the frog mutation quirk asked.

All Might replied, still yelling "This is foundational training!"

Earing that, the students began to ask questions to the teacher.

"How do we determine the winners and losers?"

"Can I just blow them away?"

"Is there a threat of expulsion?"

"If we're separating what would be the best way to do so?"

"Can I be a more fake french?"

The smile on All Might's face seems to tense.

"I can't hear you if you speak all at once!!!"

He then proceeded to explain how it was going to happen.

"For this training, we'll have some 'villains' guard a nuclear weapon they intend on deploying! The heroes must stop them and their nefarious scheme before it's too late!

If the heroes capture the villains or reach the nuclear core before the time runs out, they win.

If the villains manage to keep the core the whole time or capture the heroes, they win."

"What about the teams?"

"Your teammates and opponents will be chosen by... LOTTERY!"

"Is that really how we'll do it??!" Iida in his armor asked."

The green leprechaun behind him replied.

"Pros are often forced to make impromptu team-ups with other heroes they might not know very well, so this is probably testing that..."

"... Always with our eyes on the future, are we... I apologize!"

"Let's start this!!"

The teams were then drawn.

Team A: Uraraka/ Midoriya

Team B: Todoroki/ Shoji

Team C: Yaoyorozu/ Iida

Team D: Bakugou/ Juryoku

Team E: Aoyama/ Ashido

Team F: Koda/ Sato

Team G: Kaminari/ Jiro

Team H: Tokoyami/ Asui

Team I: Hagakure/ Ojiro

Team J: Kirishima/ Sero

Ochako then went to see Midoriya.

"Wow! We must be linked or something! Pleased to have you!"

While the green-haired boy seemed paralyzed as he didn't utter a word.

"And the first two pairs to do combat will be the following..." He said, putting his two hands in boxes entitled 'Villain' and 'Hero'.

Pair A will be heroes, while pair D will be villains!"

Earing that, the grind on Bakugou's face seems to have become even larger.

"The scenario has the villains insides the building first, then five minutes after the heroes will be let in as well!

We will be able to watch what unfolds through the surveillance cameras!

This will allow young Juryoku and Bakugou to get inside the heads of villain kind! This is a practical training exercise! So go all out without fear of injury! Though we'll cut short if things get out of hands..."

A few minutes later, Kotei and Katsuki were inside the building, near the fake bomb.

Kotei was turned toward the fake replica and knocked on the thing, analyzing the thing.

"Yo... so Deku's got himself a quirk after all... right?" Katsuki asked, his back was turned to Kotei and the fake bomb.

"... He launched that ball with one finger. So yes." He replied, looking at Katsuki.

'As I thought, their relationship is... complicate.' Kotei thought, looking at the figure of Katsuki, shivering with what he thought was anger.

His feeling was confirmed not long after as he yelled through gritted teeth.

"This fucking nerd! He fooled me this whole time...?!"

Outside the building, the team of Uraraka and Midoriya was looking at the map of the building.

"It doesn't seem that there is a penalty like with Aizawa-sensei. I'm relieved!" She said, looking at her partner.

Izuku was not so relaxed as he was sweating a lot.

"Is something wrong Deku?" She asked, worried to see him so uneasy.

"Oh, no sorry. It's just that my opponent is Kacchan... and Juryoku too...

I guess I'm just really tense..." He said, his head low.

"I remember now, it was Bakugou who keeps bullying you..." She said, looking at him.

"Yeah... I hate his guts but I also admire him... He's better than me ina hundred of different ways.

But... this time I feel, as I don't want to lose... If that makes sense."

It is the start, of the trial of indoor battle!

Meanwhile, the class was looking at the same's building basement monitors.

"Watch and hatch strategies of your own!" All Might said, a notebook in one hand, a pencil on another.

Mina approached Momo and asked her something which was bothering her for a while.

"Yaoyorozu, what is Juryoku's quirk? It was quite vague during the quirk test."

"His quirk? Well... You will be able to see it, I won't spoil the surprise!" She replied, a smile on her face.

"Ow~, is it so amazing?"

"Yes, it certainly is!"

In the bomb's room, Kotei was sitting on the ground, looking at the main entrance of the room.

'It won't take too long for him to reach them.' He thought, remembering his explosive classmate who rushed through the door, yelling that he was going to blast 'the fucking nerd'.

A few floors below, Katsuki had just jumped in front of the hero team and swung his hand at them, using his quirk to produce an explosion where they were a few seconds earlier.

Fortunately for them, Midoriya jumped out of the way, bringing Uraraka with him.

"He grazed me, are you okay Uraraka?!" He said, standing up in front of her.

"Yes! He came like a bolt..."

Standing in the dust, Katsuki spoke.

"Dammit Deku, don't dodge me!"

"As I thought, he is going to focus his offensive on me... To beat me up!" Izuku said, putting a basic stance.

Not wasting any more time, Bakugou sprinted to him and swung his right arm.

However, contrary to his expectations, Midoriya reacted fast and caught his right arm in a throwing stance.

At the side, Uraraka exclaimed.

"Wow!! Just like a pro!"

'What the hell?! He read me?'

Midoriya lifted him and slammed Katsuki on the floor.

"Kacchan, you always lead with a big right swing! I analyzed and took notes on all the heroes, who were amazing... including you! The same notes you blew up and tossed away...!

I am the 'Deku' whose vibe is 'never giving up'!!"

"You used to piss your pants before me... But this time... I am pissed!!" Katsuki said, clearly enraged.

Kotei who was waiting in the bomb's room used his microphone integrated into his crown to talk to Bakugou.

"Bakugou. Don't tell me you got beaten already."

"Shut up and keep guarding! You don't want to fucking piss me off even more!" He replied, cutting the communication of the wireless transceivers.

Bakugou used his quirk to jump toward Izuku at a great speed.

"! Uraraka goes on with-" But before he had the time to finish his sentence, Izuku was forced to block a kick from Katsuki.

"You don't have the time to look away!!" Katsuki said.

He immediately noticed that Izuku used some tape to wrap it around his legs.

"Shit!" Katsuki said, swinging his right hand, producing explosions toward him.

Reading his moves once again, Midoriya ducked and rolled a few meters away from the explosive student, dodging his dangerous blow.

'Got him!' Izuku thought standing up once again.

'What!!'

Turning at a corner, Izuku ran along the corridors at full speed, thinking about his next actions.

'I need to come up with a plan!'

"Get back here, Deku!" Katsuki yelled, running after him.

"...!"

"You tricked me all these years right?! Were you having a good laugh all this time!!?" Katsuki continued to yell, running after Midoriya.

Gritting his teeth hard, Izuku didn't stop until he was breathless. Crouching against a wall, he was slightly panting while he thought of the possible strategies.

'As expected, he totally ignored Uraraka and focused on me. I don't think that they got any strategy, Kacchan's blind rage must have prevented them to come up with a plan of action against us.

If they had stuck together and attacked us head-on from the start as a united front, our chance of winning would have been the slimmest.

If I'd gone with Uraraka, it'd have become the worst-case scenario... So right now, this is the best for us! Now it's just down to whether Uraraka can successfully reach the core... But there is Juryoku up there and considered his place during the quirk test he is quite powerful...

But if I can successfully beat Kacchan, this might as well be a 2 versus 1! It's our win!

I can do it, I just need to pay close attention to his palms!'

In the fake bomb's room, Uraraka just hid behind a pillar while she observed the sitting Kotei.

He had his eyes closed and the crown on his head was floating there, completely unmoving.

'Found you!' She thought, looking at him.

While she was thinking about what she could do, he suddenly opened his eyes to look at her, straight in the eyes.

'!!' Uraraka hurriedly hid behind a pillar once again, but it was way too late to stay hidden.

Kotei who had his eyes now open began to float until he could put his feet back on the floor, and stand tall.

Standing in front of the bomb, and blocking her path toward the bomb, he looked at the pillar behind which she was hidden.

Not wasting any time, he extended his right hand's palm toward her and asked.

"Stay put or I will incapacitate you."

"!!"

Back where Midoriya was hidden like a cockroach, he received a communication from Uraraka.

"Deku!!"

"What's up?!"

"Juryoku discovered me! I am sorry!

Now he is threatening me!"

"Where are you?" He asked, noticing the urgency in her voice.

She then immediately replied.

"The middle room on the fifth floor!"

'She's almost right above me!'

"We don't have much time left!" He said hurriedly, but his attention diverged toward a new figure walking toward him.

"It's ready, Deku."

Looking at him, a new plan formed in his mind.

'I don't have the choice...'

"Are you looking down on me? Deku." Katsuki said, pointing his right arm at him.

They were in a narrow corridor where they just had enough room to fight.

"I am not afraid of you anymore!!"

"I already know about all your stalking you know." Katsuki said, ignoring what the green-haired boy just said.

"Since you know so well what's my quirk is, I don't need to remind you of the nitroglycerin I sweat. But I can say that the nitro-sweat into this bracer accumulated must be pretty dangerous... right?" He said, putting his finger in the bracer's pin.

When All Might understood what he was going to do, he immediately spoke through the microphone to Bakugou.

"Bakugou, stop this! You'll kill him!!"

Katsuki replied, lost into his pure madness.

"If it doesn't hit him, he won't die!"

A second after, the bracer released a very big explosion, blowing a side of the building and making the building shake.

On the upper floor, both Kotei and Ochako were surprised by the tremor they felt.

While in the observation room, the student was flabbergasted and shocked to see that a little lesson was so deadly.

"Thankfully, Izuku narrowly dodged the explosion and was currently lying on his back, shocked to know that he used such an attack on him.

"Ar-are you out of your mind?!"

"Use your fucking quirk Deku."

"!!"

"I want to break you at full strength!"

Connecting their transceivers, Kotei contacted Katsuki to ask him what just happened.

"What was that Bakugou?" He asked, but received no response.

Seeing that Kotei was distracted, Ochako made use of this chance to use her quirk to make her float.

Noticing her movement, Kotei's focus returned onto her, but she already jumped into the air, wanting to reach the bomb before he had any chance to react.

Unfortunately for her, Kotei quickly aimed his palm at her.

'[Mighty Push]' He thought, his palm locked on her flying figure.

Feeling that something wasn't right, she quickly protected her head after she released the effect of her quirk.

A few seconds later, her body hit the ceiling with a great force then she fell on the ground and rolled a few meters away, almost where she first jumped.

"Aagh!"

Standing once again in front of the bomb, Kotei looked at her and spoke.

"You can't pass. Stay put, and surrender... Otherwise, I would be forced to beat you to unconsciousness."

"Ungh... I can't let Deku down! He's doing his best out there..."

"... You have chosen the beating." He simply replied, waiting for her to stand up.

A few floors below, the two boys were still facing each other. Neither one had moved... yet.

The voice of All Might erupted on the floor where they were, speaking to Bakugou.

"Launching an attack with such an extensive damage radius while indoors defeats the purpose of defending the stronghold! It doesn't matter if you are a hero or a villain! If you use another attack like that, I will end this exercise forcibly and you will lose. That's was just foolish!"

"Fuuuck!"

Speaking through his transceivers Midoriya replied to Uraraka.

"The pillar by the windows, roger that!"

Not letting him any time, Katsuki rushed toward Izuku with his explosions.

'I can't dodge that! But I can counterattack!'

But unlike what he had imagined, he didn't grab Katsuki's arm as the latter used an explosion to perfectly fly above Midoriya, and used another explosion on his back, balancing his flying body with another explosion on the other side.

"Gaah!"

Inside the observation room, the students were quite surprised to see such a perfect exected attack.

Shoto Todoroki said.

"He misled his opponent and used his explosion quirk to redirect his midair trajectory to his advantage. He doesn't look like the clever type but those were some subtle motor skills."

Nodding at his comment, Momo added.

"Landing a telling blow while resisting inertia at the same time means he must be able to adjust his explosion power very finely. He sure got talent."

Back on the building, Ochako was now standing a few meters in front of Kotei who was just observing her, unmoving.

'He doesn't have any intention of blowing me again? I can use it to my advantage then!' she thought, seeing that the boy doesn't have any intention of fighting her.

In fact, Kotei was just looking at her as he was looking at a little puppy doing useless things.

'What will she do next? Surrender? No, she doesn't have the behavior of someone going to surrender. And what did she means by 'pillar near the window'?'

While he was thinking of this, his curiosity took the better of him and let her do whatever she and her mate planned.

"Here's your beloved right swing!"

The situation a few floors below weren't looking very good for Izuku as after the explosion he received on his back, Bakugou just hit the boy's side with the metal bracer on his right arm at full strength.

"Aaah!"

But unfortunately for him, Bakugou wasn't going to stop here as he immediately grabbed Izuku's right elbow and pinned on himself using a continuous explosion from his left palm.

Slamming him on the ground, he yelled at the green-haired boy who just got trashed like a vulgar bitch.

"You. Are. Beneath. Me."

"Oof!!"

'I should have known, he is too strong for me... No choice I gotta use it!'

Crawling like the bug he is, Midoriya ran at one wall and put his back against it.

"Why can't you use your goddamn quirk?! You are looking down on me bitch?!" Katsuki asked running toward him at full speed.

"I-I wanna surpass you! How do you not get that dumbass!!?"

"Knock that expression off your fucking fuckface!"

The two of them now near one other had their right arm cocked behind them, for a full swing toward their opponent.

"Detroit..." "Fucking..."

Inside the surveillance room, Kirishima was yelling at All Might, fearing what was going to happen.

"Sensei! Enough's enough already!! Sensei!"

Bringing the microphone near his mouth, All Might began to open his mouth, ready to announce the hand of the match.

But Izuku's voice stopped him in his tracks.

"I'm here Uraraka!!"

On the upper floors, Kotei observed how the auburn-haired girl just went hugging a pillar.

"What the f-" But before he had the time to finish his sentence, a huge air-pressure came and destroyed the floor in front of him, breaking a part of the pillar Uraraka was hugging.

"Jesus~"

He couldn't help but marvel at the strength which had been used. If he wasn't wrong, it was almost equal to All Might's.

Uraraka who was holding the pillar now floating midair spoke to Kotei.

"Sorry Juryoku, but this is my new improvised super move!

Home Run Comet!"

Swing the pillar in her arms, it hit and launched all the remains in midair of the now broken floor toward Kotei.

"... Amazing." Was all he said, bringing his two arms in front of him.

"But still useless." '[Gravitational Domain: Heavyness]'

Suddenly all the traveling projectiles fell on the ground, the strength behind their speed not near to be enough to pierce through his technique.

"What?!" Ochako thought, seeing that the projectiles were rendered completely null by her opponent.

She was currently flying above him, unaffected by his quirk.

"His quirk is a gravity quirk?!"

Not distracted by the projectiles, Kotei quickly jumped just below her and slammed his fist on her liver, with such a strength that she went unconscious due to the pain.

"As I predicted." He quietly said.

Now that she was unconscious, she regained her weight but fortunately for her, Kotei grabbed her body and dropped on the ground.

Katsuki's voice previously full of rage was switched for a voice full of surprise and unbelief.

"You're telling me... that... from the beginning... I knew it. You are looking down on me...!!"

In front of him, a beaten up Izuku replied, still in his half defending, half striking toward the ceiling pose.

"I wasn't planning on using it, because I actually can't handle the strain of it... Aizawa-sensei told me too... But this was the only way I could... think of..."

Once his sentence was over, he fell on the ground, visibly knocked out.

In front of him, Katsuki stayed unmoving, an unbelieving shock on his face.

A voice cold and unexpressive moved him out of his thoughts.

"Uraraka's unconscious here. You are done, down there?" Kotei asked Bakugou.

But before he had the time to answer, the voice of All Might echoed through the whole building.

"The heroes... are all unconscious. The villain team wins!!"

Kotei hearing that began to descend the massive hole which got made a few seconds earlier.

Once he reached the floor of Katsuki and Izuku he looked at the beaten up student on the ground and the shocked Bakugou, looking at him with great unbelief on his face.

"What? You thought that I would have let her go pass me? You are quite rude."

He then used his quirk to make the green-haired kid fall toward him and grabbed him.

He then looked once again at the Bakugou who seems to clench his teeth hard.

"Stop your childishness. We won. Let's go back, this thing is bothering me already." He said, leaving the building through the made by Bakugou's explosion.

A few minutes later, they were back in the observation room.

Izuku and Ochako were both sent to the infirmary, so their injuries can be treated.

Even if Ochako was only unconscious, they couldn't be too sure.

When they went back, Bakugou was totally quiet and kept looking at his right hand, as if he saw the match earlier in it.

Kotei couldn't understand why he was so down since they won, but inside Bakugou's head, it was quite the maelstrom.

'If Juryoky had been affected by Izuku's attack, we would have lost... I would have lost to fucking. Deku. Just because he was reading me like an open book?!'

"The best in this match was... young Juryoku!!" All Might said, not surprising anyone in the room.

He then turned to the students and asked.

"Who knows why?"

Answering his call, Momo lifted her hand and said.

"It's because Kotei was the one who adapted the most to the situation. Bakugou's behavior was clearly driven by some personal grudge and thus totally arbitrary, Midoriya had the same problems.

Uraraka's last attack was too reckless, she could have hit the bomb and make it explode. She also had too little information on her opponent since she was shocked when she learned that he had a gravity quirk.

Kotei devised a counter-strategy against his opponent and he kept his focus on the bomb, not allowing her to pass through. He even reacted fast enough to nullify her attack and knock her out before she could reach the bomb.

I believe that it was a complete victory for the villain's team."

Finally ending her long speech, she placed her hands on her hips, as if she was lecturing a bad kid.

"If we don't cheer each other on whole-heartedly, then we'll never become top heroes!"

"..."

'Holy shiiit, she said it all!!' All Might thought but gave a thumbs up to his student.

"W... well... that's a correct answer."

The students were all dumbfounded while Katsuki seems to have come to the realization of his actions.

At his side, Kotei was thinking, not bothering to listen to what was just said.

'What is on the menu today?'
