Prologue

What comes after death...?

Some spoke of the afterlife others said nothingness but the answer is quite simple really...

It's what we call regret. They felt unsatisfied to die without clearing their mistakes. Regret because they didn't uphold their long-time grudge, desire, or goal in mind in their only chance of living

The lives of people are ever so fleeting and in their lowest point they appear to be the sheep instead of the shepherd

Death wasn't the end...

Those who felt remorseful begged and begged, and begged till their wishes came true and a choice was granted...

Instead of peacefully coming to terms with their end they rebelled on the laws of what's right and just

They won't settle for less and always desire more... and their return wasn't celebrated instead caused unwanted fear. Their second chance brought them back alright but in their expired flesh

A rotting vessel with an unfeeling demeanor and a goal to quench its ever-growing thirst

Different but their minds were the same until a particular hour passed and their minds slowly deteriorated

In a limited time for who knows how long... will they get the chance to do what they want? Not a chance if you asked me

Everything has a price… a natural force which impaired their souls back to their carcasses lies in the presence of Chaos. A property which defies the natural law...

The longer they remain it's up to their strong will to combat these growing desires to kill and wreak havoc

An uncountable number of lives were taken even the weakest could annihilate a village the moment they turned

Why...? A rather odd question if you asked me even a child could guess. Their bodies are incapable of feeling pain, they posses power that grows over time. Let's not forget their desire which molds their bodies...

This mixture combined made a perfect recipe to enact destruction upon the living… and destruction it incur does we enter an untold age where many return from the afterlife. But all hope wasn't lost

A few who mourned the loss of their loved ones rose and so as not to let them suffer with their own hands they fought...

If the dead had the power of Chaos a few residents of the world would possess a strong innate power they call Order. A power which allows them to borrow the elements, theories, and properties of the land of the living. Though their outnumbered the living could grow as well and eventually they won

This small faction of the living fought back and drove the undead back as their forces diminished a small presence of peace was returned

But they didn't stop they remained active and spread around the world creating and educating their descendants

The living can't remain but even if they expire the people who remains carries their goals in mind being forever immortalized

They are the last bastion of the living facing the undead whilst keeping their identities a secret

Those who fought an invisible battle to the naked eye, bringing the rebels back to their rightful place, they are the Grave Keepers
