------------

The world went blank. It was like looking at a plain blanket of snow. He opened his eyes and saw an unknown ceiling. (Where am I?) he asked himself.

He managed to get out of the bed that he was in, and he looked around the room. It was filled with books unfamiliar to the young man; he went to one of the bookshelves to take one to read.

The cover felt hard in his hands, but he didn't seem to mind that; he opened up the page, but he could not understand the writing. (What the hell is this writing?) he was about to put it down when the words started to morph into what he understood, standard English.

The book was titled "The Ten Gods Of Solara." he flipped it over to its spine, and the writing changed to what he could understand: (What the hell happened to me?) He placed the book back on the shelf.

After putting the book back he walked to the door; there was a mirror on it. The young man walked up to it; he stepped back a few steps; his facial features were different than what they used to be. Before then he

….he tried to think back to what he used to look like, but nothing came to thought; he was still panicked; he had tall black hair with a pair of turquoise eyes; his skin color was light-toned.

He had a medium build. It looked as if he had worked out for a month and then stopped, but he did not care for that; he walked back to the bed that he was on then sat down.

(Okay, okay… try and remember what you were doing before) he said to himself, staring into the ceiling for a few minutes. (Nothing) he laid his head on the bed.

He took in the details of the room, such as its size; it was a one-person room. There were no closets; there was just a bag of clothes next to the door.

In front of the window at the end of the room lay a desk covered in papers he walked over to them. The words were jumbled; he couldn't quite make out what it was saying because of the trash handwriting. (How did I even get here…) he walked back to the mirror and took in his looks again.

(Never guessed I would be a light skin.) He thought for a while, then added, (But this feels normal somehow... it feels like I've always been like this. What the hell is going on,) he said to himself; he looked at the white shirt he was wearing, it had stains on it, he also wore a black shirt, he looked to the bag he Duge in it, he saw two pairs of a strange uniform. (Is this a butler uniform?) he asked himself.

Knock! Knock! He heard a noise at the door. At first, he was startled by the noise, but he recognized it to be the door. (So I've lost my memory, but I still remember basic concepts,) he said to himself as he placed the uniform back into the bag then opened the room door; he was met with a small living room.

There was a brown couch that was in rough shape, but it still looked usable. He went to the door and opened it. There was no one there. (Who's there?) he said. The hallway was dark; he could barely see anything; he looked left to right, but the darkness was like a veil that he could not see through; a figure came through. He had monstrous features. It had white horns that came out from the sides of its head, a messed-up face, and its body looked like a mush of other creatures such as a bull, a cat, and a dog.

The beast came rushing down the long halls quickly to save himself. He locked the door, and the beast crashed into the door; he ran to go get a chair and then hooked it under the door handle. (That's not going to hold for long.)

He ran back to his room, locked the door, he searched the room for a chair. Still, he couldn't find one. He looked to the far end of the room, the window. He looked closely, and he saw the moon. (Where the hell am I?) The moon was a red color it looked like someone poured blood on the moon.

He went underneath the bed; that was the only place he could think to hide; the door was broken in, the monster trashed the living room, all he could hear were things being thrown around, the couch came flying into space, there was a hole in the wall it was large enough to the point where you could walk in the room through the living room, the couch crashed into the bed it collapsed in on itself he was underneath it.

However, he was still okay. He heard footsteps marching into the room, but they were not of the monster. They seemed to be from ordinary people. (Here!) a mysterious man yelled; more people came storming into the room; it was filled with gases. (This should do the job,) one of the men shouted; he was still trapped under the bed. (Someone is trapped!) a voice cried. Numerous steps came running to the bedroom.

The rubble on the bed was lifted, and he saw four men; 2 were helping him while two others were fighting the monster. One of the men threw a fireball. The crimson light emitted into the room, and he blocked his eyes with his left hand. The beast roared and then jumped out of the living room into the upcoming traffic of horse-driven carriages to motor cars.

Two of the four men raced to catch the creature that escaped. (W-what was that!) he asked. The two men looked at him and then asked. (You're Elijah, right?) the man asked; he could see that the man to his left looked young; he might even be his age. The man on the right looked to be a middle-aged man.

(Y-yes... I am,) he said, (Do I know these guys?) he asked himself. Then, at that moment, his head spiked. It was like getting his head hammered over and over again; he held his head with his right arm, and shards of unknown memories started to pour into his head, such as history about the ten gods of Solara.

He slowly shook his head. One of the men stepped closer to help Elijah, but the young man was stopped by the older one. (I'm fine, just .. shaken up by all this,) Elijah said. The men nodded at each other. (I will order you a carriage to bring you to a shelter,) the older man said.

He led his hands to the door, but the younger one asked, (How come you didn't hear the alarm to clear out?) the young man said. Elijah answered honestly. (I was in deep sleep,) he said; the young man shrugged his shoulders and then walked to the door. The three went down a flight of stairs. (Who are these people? Are they cops? What the hell was that thing?) Elijah said in thought.

The staircase was dark, and the walls seemed to have claws cut through them. (Looks like that thing came through here,) Elijah said; the two didn't seem to react to that comment, and they walked out of the apartment complex. The building had a gothic-style look to it, and the blood moon made its feathers stand out more. The two
