"..... Night's gone and its a new day...of hell..... " Thats what I always say every morning but today's different. I couldn't sleep throughout the night and kept staring into space.
".... Whats gonna happen tommorrow?..... Can I really do this?..... Whats with Mr. Cruz?.... Should I butt out or elope?..... " Those were the only thoughts I had, the only ones who dared to keep me awake.
I ran out in search of my dad, I was not ready to act as the sacrificial lamb but then I was greeted with a rather touching sight...
Our living room was filled with people, I already knew who they were;our neighbours. I also saw some new faces and then I stared at my Dad with eyes filled with questions and He immediately understood I was confused...
"... Uhm, sweetie. You're awake... " My Dad said and I had the urge to roll my eyes. Whats with the sweet name?!.....
"... Dont be surprised, they're our neighbours and they are here to see you... " He said and motioned for me to sit down
I sat and looked around confused then a man finally spoke...
"... Uhm Vanessa. I know you feel pressured right now and..... and you should have enough time to think but.... but, if we dont act now, the commissioner might.... " He couldnt complete his sentence because he broke down in tears
I looked around and I saw their teary eyes, its really funny isnt it?.Few minutes ago, I had planned to confront my Dad and tell him I wasnt ready to get married and here I am...Moved by their tears.
"I know uncle and that's why I've decided to just go for it. I have to admit, I had initially thought of saying no but, I guess this is it. And besides, Dad promised to come fetch me as soin as he gets enough money and I trust him" I looked at my Dad and his gaze met mine. I already knew this was my mom's plan, getting everyone here because she knew I would be moved by their tears.
"Oh my child!, May the great one bless and protect you.... "An old woman said
" Yes ma'am"I replied with a smile
"Well then, shall we call Mr. Cruz?!" A man said and I took a deep breath before replying

"I dont know?, for Bianca. She's been pressurizing me and wont stop..... "
"Are you crazy G?. So you are getting married because of Bianca and not for love?, then what good has it done?" Arnaldo said
"Will it do!" George said
"So what, you're trying to impress who?.... Bianca and you think she'll be happy once she finds out?" Arnaldo said
"Well I'll slit your throat if you ever tell her"George threatened
" Well she wont hear it from me. How about the lady?, where's she coming from?.... Dont tell me its a forced marriage... Or contract?... George Cruz!" Arnaldo exclaimed
"Its nothing of such.... "
Booze-booze-booze. George phone rang
"Hello?" He said
"Hmmmmm, ok I'll be there" He said and hung up
"Work?" Arnaldo asked
"Nop, marriage! " George replied and stood up
"Hey man we're not done talking.... You cant leave like that! " Arnaldo said
"We'll talk later" George replied as he walked out of the casino.

A black highly tinted glass car drove into the district and I already knew that was Mr Cruz's car. I had made up my mind, I'll get married to him then come back in one piece. I spent the little time I had to prepare myself for the worse. I surfed the internet for facts about him and his past girlfriends and they were all celebrities. How was I suppose to deal with this man?!...
"... I hope everything's been sorted out?" He asked my Dad but my mom was quick to answer
"Ofcourse Mr. Commissioner, she's our only daughter and our only hope so she has decided to save us all..... "
"I need to speak with her! " He said
"Oh sure, ofcourse. Vanessa love!..... Vanny" My mom called
I came out from behind the door where I was hiding
"Well, Mr. Cruz needs to have a word with you so we'll leave you to talk, ok"My mom said
She walked up to me and whispered
" Dont even dare mess this up or else I'll send you to your grave instead of his house" She said then gave a fake smile
"I'm on my way to hell and you're talking about death. I might as well be as good as dead" I thought to myself
"You can sit" Mr. Cruz said finally
I didnt dare raise my head and just obeyed his instruction
His voice was deep and masculine and arousing at the same time, it was as if he was trying to sound kind but still intimidating and sexxy.....
"Miss Vanessa Fisher?!.... " He called
"Y-ye-yes sir!?" I replied stammering
He laughed softly then said...
"Sir?!, isnt that too polite, considering the fact that we're getting married? " He asked
"Ohhhhh, right. Marriage! " I said awkwardly
"George, call me George" He said
"Oh, ok sir. I mean George" I said then started playing with my finger tips
"Well, Permit me to ask you some questions... " He said and I could sense the seriousness in his voice
"Ok.... George" I replied
"Are you ok with this? " He asked
"Yes! " I said not that I had a choice
"And so are your parents?..... " He asked
"Yes they are! " I said trying to keep calm
"Vanessa, I hate lies and I love transparency... Is there any sibling whom you have but I dont know about?! " He asked
I raised up my head and looked into his eyes, he had skyblue eye balls.... I wanted to tell him about Samantha but I remembered my mom's words... Even if I was already in hell, I do not want to die by her hands....
"None! " I finally replied after some time
"Ok then. Well its all settled. We'll discuss about the wedding once you are fully settled down" He said and smiled
I smiled back then stood up to call my parents but then...
".... Vanessa? " He called
"Yes!?" I answered then turned slightly
"..... When I say marriage, I hope you know you have to fufil your duties as The Commissioner's Wife, A Sister-In-Law and My wife..... Sexually!....
" He said
"What!... " I exclaimed with wide eyes
