34 – A Woman Named Celia

Alan's group entered a fairly crowded restaurant and had to occupy a table in the corner. Celia gulped as her order of chicken with mashed potatoes arrived.

"I didn't expect to be excited to eat a piece of chicken." The female fighter started slicing the food with excessive enthusiasm.

"Is that really a chicken, though?" Alan commented while starting to eat his soup. "Or at least is it traditional chicken as we know it?"

"Please don't spoil my dinner, Al." Celia snorted. "Whether this animal has a shell or sheep's fur, this is a chicken for me." She then put the food in her mouth. "And it tastes like chicken, good chicken."

Alan continued. "What if it turns out to be as cute as a bunny?"

"Why do you like to tease me so much now?" Celia grumbled with her mouth full.

Allan just shrugged. There's no other reason. It's fun for him.

Haruna then moved her index finger to Alan's arm. "I want to be teased by you too, Al."

The young man ate without speaking again. Haruna widened her smile, but she was clearly irritated. "Can you not ignore me?"

Alan stopped his spoon, which was about to enter his mouth. But it wasn't because of Haruna. Someone is approaching them. He was a man in full armor, a sword at the waist, a shield at the arm, and a slightly chubby body.

There is a username above his head. He's a player.

[Ziggifinity]

"Excuse me." The brown-haired man spoke to Celia. "I noticed your name…. Are you really Celia Wolfe, the famous vtuber?"

Alan didn't expect that. If Celia is indeed a streamer who uses a digital avatar, that explains her ability to sing and change voices. Some vtubers have different voices while streaming and in real life.

"Unfortunately, not," Celia answered casually. "You hear my voice, right? It's lower than Celia Wolfe's voice."

"But why did you use her name?" The shield knight frowned.

"It's simple." The female fighter shrugged. "I'm a fan of Celia Wolfe, and my first name also happens to be Celia. Well, I'm using this name just for fun because this game is still in beta. I intend to replace it when the game is in full release, although that's not possible right now. Sorry if I offend you. You're a fan, too, right?

"Ah, there's no need. You didn't do anything wrong." That man smiled. "Call me Ziggy. I don't want to disturb your dinner too long, so let me sit with you guys for a while. I just want to have a little talk."

Alan studied the man for a moment. "Sure."

Ziggy sat in the only remaining chair, leaned forward slightly, and whispered. "It seems you guys haven't been in this city for long. I want to tell you guys to be careful. There is someone who is targeting players."

"Targeting players?" Haruna responded. "Targeting like what? Kill them?"

Ziggy nodded slowly. "There are already four victims."

"Do you have any other information about him?" Alan asked.

"Unfortunately, no." The shielded knight let out a long breath. "But we came together to fight it. Therefore, we invite you to join us. More people would be better." He then shifted a folded piece of paper to Alan. "This is the place. Tonight…"

"If we want to go to that place, we will do it the next day." Alan interrupted Ziggy but kept his polite tone. "With all due respect, I just met you. I don't know what your group likes. If I want to meet you guys, I will do it during the day, when vision is clearer, people are still awake, and there are many other factors."

And in truth, Alan wanted nothing to do with anything, at least for tonight.

"Your vigilance is really top-notch, Al." Haruna shook her head.

"But that's fair." Ziggy showed no sign that he was offended. "Then we'll be waiting for you tomorrow. You can come anytime. We will welcome you." He then looked at Celia's wooden jug and grimaced. "The lemonade in this world contains alcohol."

"No wonder it tastes a little different," Celia spoke with a red face, holding her chicken and gnawing at it like a caveman. "I feel like I'm flying high into the sky…. Even though I'm already in the sky."

"Are you okay?" Alan didn't feel that Celia was drunk. Her intonation was still clear, even though her eyes were almost closed like a sleepy person.

Haruna also checked Celia's jug, finding it was still two-thirds full. "But she just had a little drink."

"Her tolerance of alcohol…. She seems to be weak with liquor." Ziggy was starting to look worried.

Suddenly the female fighter stood up from her chair. "I feel hot! I wanna cool off my pussy and ass! I hate pants and panties!"

The scream attracted the attention of the people around.

"Please, don't do this." Alan caught Celia's hand. She looked to be really pulling down her pants.

"Ah, piano-chan." The female fighter glanced at a black piano in the middle of the restaurant. "You want to be played with my fingers, right?"

Staggering, she came to the instrument.

"Please sit down, Celia." Alan tried to pull the young lady to the table, but she didn't listen. "You seem to be in a bit of a bad state."

"You're noisy, Alan." Celia sat in front of the piano, placed the chicken bone on it, then let out a loud burp. It caught the attention of the visitors a second time.

She then opened the piano cover, then played it. Alan, who was about to pull that girl again, was suddenly stunned. The song Celia was playing was the one the musician they had met earlier by the pier.

Alan didn't really understand music, but he knew that a feat like that was extraordinary. She only needed to hear the song once.

"When sorrow comes from the sky. When we don't know the future. I'm waiting for the saviors. When will those brave women and men come…." She started singing, making Alan even more speechless.

If earlier he didn't feel anything from the song, this time, the young man felt like there was turmoil in his heart. Celia's voice is very powerful and emotional, as if she wants to really convey that song's meaning.

All the visitors and workers were also stunned. No one took their eyes off the female fighter.

"When will they come to give light? Do we still have a chance? Will the beauty of the world return? I miss my old life, oh my heroes. Please, please save us."

"She's amazing." Haruna also enjoyed the impromptu show.

"Yeah." Ziggy's voice cracked. "She's a diva."

The rogue glanced at that man and found a tear on his cheek.
