Gold-tier Rapier

Arthur looked at the injured Arnold and his teammates, and guessing from their conditions, they most probably came across the E-rank wolf lord.

But after hearing their conversation he came to know about the Rat Lord and the gold-tier rapier, which was in hand of the E-rank Rat Lord.

When the wolf lord and the rat lord were fighting, the rat lord was weaker than the wolf lord in terms of strength, but it had a gold-tier weapon in its hand, because of it they were able to fight on equal footing.

Currently the rat lord was as injured as the wolf lord, and it was currently healing itself in the underground cave.

Arthur had completed all of his tasks, so he thought of leaving the rat lord, but the gold-tier weapon piqued Arthur's interest.

"Maybe it will come in handy later on." with this in mind Arthur went to the underground cave in search of the Rat Lord.

After taking out some wolf's fang from his storage space he entered the underground cave. As Arthur was walking downwards, he came across one or two rats occasionally, most of them were killed by the wolfs and the injured team.

After walking down for around twenty minutes, Arthur finally reached the underground cave opening. Walking through the opening, Arthur saw a large underground area, currently half of the area was buried with rocks.

Without wasting time, he continued to walk straight and continued to kill the occasional appearing rats with his bullets.

*Thump*

*Thump*

Sound of heavy steps resounded in the underground area, hearing this Arthur stopped his assault and stored the remaining fangs. Taking out his B-rank sword he readied himself for the upcoming battle.

*GRAAAAR*

With a high-pitched roar, the Rat Lord which was walking from the shadows jumped into light and appeared in front of Arthur.

Arthur fixed his gaze on the Rat Lord standing before him. The Rat Lord's large red eyes glared back at him, seething with anger and hostility. Its burly physique and ability to walk on two feet added to its menacing aura. The sound of its tail swiping against the ground echoed through the air. The Rat Lord tightly gripped a radiant gold rapier in its hand, most likely to be the gold-tier weapon they were talking about.

Seeing Arthur gaze towards the rapier in its hand and ignore its presence, the Rat lord became angrier. But then it suddenly started smiling, many humans came in his domain to kill him and take the weapon, but they all failed miserably, many of them even died under the rapier. This one makes no difference these were the thoughts going inside the Rat Lord's mind.

*GAAARH*

The Rat lord then started to run towards Arthur while swinging the rapier at madly.

When Arthur saw the rat lord approaching him, he silently parried the strikes of rapier with his sword. As the fight continued, madness descended on the rat lord as it stared to increase its attacking speed.

Arthur deflected all the attacks that came his way in one swing, and then charged at the rat lord. Arthur appeared childlike in comparison to the two and half meter beast.

As the sword and rapier were about to collide, Arthur shot a fang with his other hand at the rat's foot. The fang missed and scratched the rat lord's foot a little.

The sword in his hand the rapier collided, the impact was so strong that the rat lord lost his balance, which was enough time for Arthur to counter.

The rat lord tried to regain its balance when Arthur appeared behind him and started to attack him from behind. The speed of sword also started to increase as Arthur continued to attack the rat lord, the rat lord now had many heavy gashes on its back from which blood started to come out like waterfall.

As a result, the rat lord was unable to regain its balance, as the sword rained at him like a hurricane.

Almost half of the body of the rat lord now was gone, but it still tried to approach Arthur who was behind, but each time it did, the rat lord was injured more severely.

Then suddenly Arthur stopped its restless attack, seeing this the Rat lord thought that Arthur must be exhausted, so it stood and looked back.

At that time Arthur who was just behind the rat lord severed the Rat Lord's head.

As the Rat lord's body fell to ground, the gold-tier rapier it had also fell to ground, along with the loot.

Arthur went forward and picked up all those things.

Lastly Arthur picked up the Rapier from the ground and checked it.

"Ahh, I have to find an Appraisal skill to check this gold-tier rapier, but that thing is hard to come by." Arthur said, as he thought about the Appraisal skill.

A person can normally check the grade of weapon, but if want to check the weapons specialty he has to use appraisal skill on it.

And to appraise a gold-tier weapon he has to use a B-rank appraisal skill on it. He then put the rapier and his sword inside his storage space and started to walk out of the underground cave. There were still five minutes left till he can be teleported back.

Just as he came out of the cave, he saw Arnold along with his teammates walking towards him.

When Arnold and the rest saw someone coming out of the cave, they were shocked. The person who came out of the cave was shirtless and only wearing pants. He had a lean and muscular figure, but they weren't able to see his complete face, because of his long hairs and a hint of beard which obstructed their view, because of this they weren't able to see Arthur's scars.

Arnold was firstly shocked when he saw someone come of the cave uninjured, thinking of something he calmly stepped forward and said to Arthur, "Mister, we saw the rats running out of the cave in hurry so we thought something must have happened, so we came to check it."

"And... Did you kill Rat Lord?"

As Arnold waited for Arthur reply, Arthur said calmly, "Yes, I defeated the rat lord."

"You wanted to kill it?"

Hearing this Arnold nodded lightly and said, "Yes, we wanted to eliminate the Rat Lord and get the gold-tier weapon."

"Sadly, I killed the rat lord and I have no intension to give the rapier to another person." Arthur stated directly.

Hearing this Arnold sighed, but then someone among the group said with agitation, "We were the one who injured the rat lord so shouldn't you consider this. Only because of this you were able to get a hand on the rapier. Now how are you going to pay us?"

When Arnold heard this, he looked back and saw the cloak wearing man pointing his staff at Arthur, Arnold was about to stop the man from saying anything, he heard Arthur say.

"So.."

Fsssss....

"What?"

Arrghhhh...

The man who was pointing his staff at Arthur, who now rolling in the ground holding his thigh. When Arnold saw the man's thigh, he saw a hole on it from which blood started flow down.

Before he could say anything, another hole appeared on his hand which was holding the staff.

"Even if you haven't injured the rat lord, I would have still killed him."

Arnold had sweat dripping from his forehead, just now he just heard something cutting through the air and the next second the man was on the ground holding his leg. He didn't even know how the mage was injured.

After that Arthur took out a shirt from his storage space and wore it.

'This person is dangerous.' Arnold thought.

"Sorry, I ask for forgiveness on account of my teammate."

With that Arnold's vision whitened.

"Are you a fool? Provoking everyone you meet your family didn't teach you any manners huh." Arnold was shouting at the cloaked man in front of him, who was shot on his thigh by Arthur.

Arthur and his teammates have just been teleported back from New World back to their kingdom.

"Brandon you are really foolish it would be good if he had shot you on head. The Malece family is degrading day by day."

Arnold shouted again, "Its only because of your sister Amelia you are currently here, otherwise you and your family would be gone."

Brandon who was scolded had his head down, 'He didn't say anything to that fuc*er who took the rapier and is now scolding me in front of everyone.'

It was then when two people came running towards Arnold after which some other people also entered the hall, "Second Prince, did you get that gold-tier weapon."

Arnold looked back and saw that the two were none other than the one who died in the New World. Arnold said, "No, we didn't."

When the two heard this, they lowered their head but then one of them suddenly said, "Prince you are about to reach peak of F Rank then you can try..." Arnold stopped him midway and said with a sigh, "We can't try anymore, it was taken by another person."

"Second Prince, His Majesty is asking your presence!" a guard clad in armor stepped forward and notified Arnold.

Arnold nodded, then he looked back at Brandon and said, "I will talk to his majesty about your behavior."

Leaving his words behind Arnold left the hall and went towards his father's room. As he reached his father's room, he knocked the door lightly and said, "Father..."

"Come inside." a voice came from inside the room.

After Arnold entered the room, he saw his father Karan standing and looking at his portrait on the wall. In the portrait he was shone majestically waring royal clothes and holding a sword in his hand.

"So, tell me did you get the rapier?" asked Karan as he looked back at Arnold.

"Sorry father, I failed." Arnold said in a low tone as he bowed his head down.

"Oh, and the reason for that."

Arnold then told his father about how everything was going according to plan but then because of the sudden appearance of the E-rank wolf everything went west, not only they have to fight the rats but also the wolfs because of this they had to fall back.

"Haah... we never thought such a thing could also happen. So, take the silver-tier sword when you go next time and try to get that sword, we have to get that rapier." said Karan as he looked at Arnold.

"Father about that..." Arnold was about to say something, but he stopped when Karan looked at him, he asked, "Is there any problem with that?"

"Father about the rapier, someone has already taken that rapier." Arnold answered.

"What? Who took the rapier? Did you ask him if is willing to trade the rapier?" Karan questioned Arnold while he went to take a glass of water from the table.

"Father when I was about to talk about trading the rapier with us, the fool from Malece family shouted at the person and told him to either give them the weapon or to compensate us. And before I could settle things, the person injured the Brandon's leg and didn't talk to us after that, so I wasn't able to talk to him regarding this."

When Karan heard this, he threw the glass in hand and said in anger, "Those bastards from Malece family, they are becoming more and more courageous after her daughter became personal student of Vice President of The Academy, they are thinking that I will do nothing about it. Let's see if they do something from now on."

After taking some time to calm his anger he asked, "So do you know who was the one who took the rapier."

"And when we met him, he was shirtless, most probably he had a transformation skill like werewolf."

"But such skills are hard to come by."

"Are you sure he had transformation skill, or it was other reasons he wasn't wearing any shirt."

"I don't know his identity, but he was wearing clothes from golden thread, so I guess he must be someone from Noble lineage, poor people can't even buy it if they spend their entire fortune on it. Even after fighting the Rat Lord alone, he didn't get any injury so he must be very powerful." Arnold said after thinking for some time.

"He even had a storage space." Arnold said suddenly.

Hearing this Karan's eyes widened, he then said with a sigh, "Leave it, from now focus on increasing your rank and proficiency of your skills. We have already waisted too much time focusing on the rapier."

"I think I have to ask for help from Raydon." Karan rubbed his forehead as he thought about the increasing load on him.

Arthur opened his eyes and found himself in room, he directly jumped on the bed and started to sleep.

At night he woke up feeling hungry, he walked outside the room and went towards the dining hall to have his dinner.

While he was having his dinner, he heard some of the peoples talking to each other.

"Are you participating in the Dungeon raid happening next week?"

"Yea, maybe I can find something interesting to put in the monthly auction.

"And about you..."

When Arthur heard this, he thought about this, he noted that its almost time for this month's dungeon raid. He was currently a F-rank awakener, he can participate in the dungeon raids after he reaches D-rank.

'I will take E-rank advancement test tomorrow.'

'I can reach D-rank by next week.'

'Well, it's almost time for them to find and come to me.'

After eating the food, he went back to his room and started to sleep.
