Enhancement

After eating his breakfast Arthur went back to his room and sat down on the couch, he then took out a black box from his storage space. The black box had many intricated patters printed on it. The patterns were shining with green lights giving it an epicurean look.

Arthur lightly traced the box with his fingers, feeling the box's texture.

With a light motion Arthur opened the box, inside the box were two green balls. On taking a closer look the two green balls resembled eyes, which gave a majestic feeling to those who looked on them.

Just as Arthur opened the box a notification popped in front of Arthur. Arthur carefully read the notification.

[ Do you want to use Spiritual Eyes as an enhancement ]

There were two options presented in front of him, whether he want to use those eyes as enhancement or not. But Arthur's eyes stopped at the word War of Dimensions, reading this word he was intrigued, many probabilities went through his mind about this word War of Dimensions.

After ten minutes, Arthur opened his eyes and then looked at the notification, he then accepted the enhancement.

Arthur didn't see the notification as the green eyes in the box turned into particles and shot towards his eyes. As the particles entered Arthur's empty eye socket and left eye, he didn't feel anything for some time but then blood started to seep through his eyes. When the blood touched his cheeks, he ran towards the bathroom, tilted his head, and let the blood drop into the sink.

Arthur grunted as he felt the pain in his eyes increase. The blood seeping through his eyes had stopped, but now nerves started to spread from his eyes and across his face. Eventually, the pain spread from his eyes to his head.

ARGHHHH

Arthur clutched his head as he felt the pain increase even more. his heartbeat started to increase, then his veins from head to his eyes started to turn green and those veins started to pulsate like his heartbeat. After some time, all his veins returned to normal, and the pain started to lessen until it was only a mild headache.

Haaahhh

Arthur breathed heavily as he looked at the mirror but was confused to see everything blurry. He waved his hand in front of him, but he was unable to see his hand clearly.

After washing his face, he headed to his bed, he didn't even know whether all the blood was cleaned or not. Along the way, he accidentally bumped into many things due to his inability to see clearly. Upon reaching the bed, he lay down and eventually drifted off to sleep.

Next day,

Arthur slept till afternoon, feeling exhausted, as the sunlight touched his face, he opened his eyes and looked at the window with a smile on his face. A word escaped his mouth, "Finally!"

He then excitedly ran towards the bathroom and then checked his face in the mirror.

"Finally, I have my eyes back!"

Arthur laughed for some time, when he calmed down, he the splashed water on his face. After splashing water on his face, the smiling face vanished and returned to solemness.

He then carefully examined his eyes that he had regained. His right eye, which was previously missing, had now completely healed. And his left eye, which was originally black now turned dark green, his right eye also had a little green shade on it.

His injuries have almost healed by using his devour skill and many health potions. He was able to see them when he lifted his hairs up.

He then tried to see the surrounding while closing one of his eyes and checked if there is any difference.

He then noticed that his left eye was having a little different vision than his right eye. His left eye showed the surroundings a little vibrant than his right eye.

After coming out of bathroom he wiped his face with a towel and then wore another pair of clothes and went downwards to have lunch. There were not many people on the way when Arthur came, nor were there many people in the dining hall. Occasionally, there were only one or two individuals roaming here and there.

Because of the incoming dungeon raid, there was not much of a crowd, with less than six days remaining until the raid.

Arthur went straight to his chef, instructing him to have food brought to his room. Without further delay, he went back.

While walking back to his room he examined all the notifications he received while the enhancement process was going on.

When Arthur read all those notifications, he understood about all those procedures and the change in visions. When he read the last notification, he opened his status window to check the changes.

Arthur eye's widened when he saw his stats, firstly his stats they have increased by more than a hundred. His spirit stat and mana, seeing them Arthur was shocked, that was an unpredictable increase.

Next, his Heat resistance skill changed to Elemental resistance and its rank have also increased.

Arthur was a little happy on getting his full view back, so this time he ate more food, which even shocked the chef who provided food for him. Arthur had specifically paid the hotel to provide him a chef who would cook food for him, and the chef cooked the beast meat Arthur got from the New World.

After finishing his food, he went back to room to try the spiritual eye's special abilities. After entering his room, he walked to the window and looked outside. When he passed some mana through his eyes, he noticed some densely packed threads floating in the air far away, it was liked it was floating in a certain direction.

Curiously, he shot a fang at the thread, but to his dismay the fang passed through the threads without even disturbing them. He even tried to use mana and disturb the floating thread, but he failed. After some time, the thread went floated away, he wanted to use see other things using his eyes, but he dismissed this idea.

What intrigued him was that thread like thing, he wanted to test many things out, but this was not the time for that.

After that he came out of the hotel and started to wander on the streets, looking at things using his spiritual eyes. He was using a little amount of mana on his spiritual eyes, because of this he was only able to see the same threads passing through the streets or above the sky occasionally.

He didn't do anything, lest he wanted to look like an idiot who was touching nothing but air in the eyes of others. But he tried to observe those threads intently, and he even increased the mana to see them more clearly.

After observing more of those threads, he stopped after some time. Many people were looking at him, because they were able to see Arthur's glowing eyes even with his long hairs. His left eye was glowing brightly while his right eye also had a little glow in it.

Seeing the attention, he was getting, he returned back to the hotel. Currently, it was reaching night time, because of this many people would notice Arthur's eyes, so he stopped in his way.

Arthur then went to dining hall where he ordered the chef to prepare another sumptuous meal and bring it to his room. 

In the hallway, a girl with blonde hair spotted Arthur from a distance. Her eyes widened as she saw him, prompting her to run towards him. However, upon reaching a turn in the hallway, she lost sight of him. As she anxiously scanned the surroundings, another girl approached her from behind and asked, "Princess, what happened?"

Turning back to the girl, the blonde-haired one replied, "I saw him here just now!"

Hearing this the girl's eyes widened as she said, "I will immediately ask the hotel manager about Sir's room" saying this she ran in a certain direction.

After returning to his room, Arthur settled down and patiently waited for the food to arrive.

Shortly after, a knock echoed through the room. Rising from his seat, he went to answer the door, anticipating that it was the expected meal. True to his expectation, the individuals who brought the food into the room swiftly departed.

Just as Arthur was about to sit down and enjoy his meal, another knock echoed from the door, disrupting his plans.

Upon opening the door, Arthur was taken aback to find a golden-haired standing before him, her blond hair gleaming in the light. He uttered in surprise, "Cassandra?"

With a warm smile, Cassandra affirmed, "Yes, it's me, Arthur." She rushed forward and embraced him tightly. "Finally, I found you."

As they separated from the embrace, Arthur responded with a gentle smile, "Well, it's good that you found me."

Looking into each other's eyes, Arthur continued, "Before you say anything, the food is already served. Let's eat and talk." Taking Cassandra's hand, he led her to the dinner table and pulled out a chair for her before taking a seat himself.

As they shared a meal, Cassandra recounted the experiences and events that occurred during their time apart. Her words flowed with a mix of excitement, relief, and a tinge of sadness. Arthur, in turn, listened attentively, occasionally nodding or interjecting. The atmosphere was a blend of reunion and catching up, the clinking of cutlery accompanying their conversation.

As they exchanged updates, Arthur posed a question, "Is meeting me the sole reason for your visit to this city, or is there another purpose?"

Cassandra sighed, offering an explanation, "I'm here because of the upcoming Dungeon raid. Unfortunately, Clement City didn't have any C-rank dungeons this time, so I had to venture to another city for the raid. When I learned that you were here, I decided to come."

"Well, our second year in the Academy is starting next month, and I heard that the vice-principal of the academy has taken his first student and she have S-rank talent."

Arthur was still eating when he heard this, "So?"

"It's none another than Amelia Malece a noble family from our city." Cassandra proclaimed, "I know not much about her, but her family—they are naught but a troupe of fools, with her father possessing unbounded greed, seeking to monopolize all. Were it not for the inferiority of his talent and rank compared to my father's, he would have endeavored to seize my father's throne."

"Oh, and?" Arthur replied still uninterested.

Seeing Arthur's behavior, Cassandra said, "Yea, why will you be interested in this, who got a personal recommendation from the principal himself."

Arthur put down his spoon and looked at Cassandra, "And?"

Cassandra huffed and started to eat food in front of her, but then Arthur pointed at her eyes and said, "So what is the thing you are wearing?"

"You don't know?"

Arthur shook his head, seeing this Cassandra put down her spoon and took out the glasses she was wearing, she then handed it to Arthur. Arthur wiped his clean hands cleaner and took the glasses.

He then positioned the glasses at a distance from his eyes and surveyed his surroundings while holding them in his hand.

After some time, Cassandra said, "This thing is called glasses, it was invented one year ago, some alchemists together with blacksmiths created this thing."

"So, what's the use of these glasses?" Arthur questioned.

Cassandra said, "Some time ago alchemist discovered something called UV rays being emitted from Centre Star, they said that these rays are invisible to our eyes. And these rays if enters our eyes, it will cause harm, so they invented this thing. These glasses can even reduce the strain being put on our eyes."

"They even invented some kind of glasses which can help those peoples with weak eyes to see normally."

"So, what is the reason you are wearing these glasses, are your eyes weak or some another reason." Arthur said as he looked at Cassandra through the glasses.

Cassandra flicked her hairs and said, "It's not like my eyes are weak, it enhances my beauty even more so that's the reason."

Surprised, Arthur put down the glasses and looked at Cassandra. A small smile played on his lips as he gently placed the glasses on her face. In response, Cassandra wore the glasses with a serene expression, and a subtle, content smile adorned her features.
