Commotion in the kitchen

We discuss our plan after having lunch also while taking a break.

"Master Ikki, what do you want to do next?" chief Harvard asking me

"Let's take around this hill once again together, after that we return to the village. Actually, I want to see another place of this forest but we don't have time for that. It's already past noon and if we keep looking, I'm afraid we will back to the village after dark"

"Master Ikki, you can come again tomorrow with us" Matius offer his idea

"Yeah, we're hunting every day in this forest. We don't mind to take you with us" Marius supports his brother idea.

"I still return here tomorrow to check this ore vines again. I can accompany you" Lukas seems to have his own plan for tomorrow.

"Sorry master Ikki, I don't know if I can accompany you or not tomorrow. If there's nothing need my attention in the village maybe I can come along with you" Chief Harvard said with an apologetic tone

"It's alright chief, you must have many things to care since you're the chief village"

After we agree upon tomorrow schedule we start to circle the hill once again together. When we're across the place where Lukas found the ore vines we stop for a moment to check it. It's a rocky area that contains many brownish black stones that scattered all of the places. I take one of the stones to examine it. After examining it, I'm a little surprised with what I found.

"This stone is….ferrite?"

My father is a blacksmith, he shows me many kinds of metal that can be used for his workshop. One of them is ferrite which contains irons. Of course, it needs smelting process before it can be tempered as an iron product.

"Master Ikki, what do you think?" Lukas who sees me examine the stone asks for my opinion.

"This area indeed has iron source mister Lukas, you're lucky to find it"

"Hahaha … I think master Ikki that bring luck to me. If I'm not following you here, I won't find it"

"Lukas, do you think we can open an ore mine here?" Chief Harvard asks him the possibilities.

"I think that possible if we have enough manpower chief"

"Alright, we discuss that further in the village"

We continue our walks around the hill. Although we double check the hill and look on every big boulder there, we still can't find the cave that I looking for.

"Gentlemen, I think it's time to return before the day turns into dark" chief Harvard conclude our search today. Although I a bit disappointed with this failure I can't force them to search days and night for me. They willing to help me, a stranger in their village, is already fortunate for me. So we leave the forest and heading back to the village.

After arrived at village gates we separated to our own house. Matius handed some of his hunting prey for chief Harvard and Lukas before they leave.

Three of us return to Chief Harvard house. Since we arrive when day almost dark I don't have a chance to take a bath and only wash my face with water from the well.

"Master Ikki, you must be tired after a long walk in the forest. Why don't you take a rest first and we will wake you up when dinner ready" Chief Harvard give me a suggestion.

"Okay chief, I'll take rest first" I go to the room that they prepared before.

After laid my body to the bed, I try to close my eyes and sleep. But my mind was too busy thinking about today event which makes me unable to sleep. I still a bit dejected knowing that cave where I come from was nowhere to be found. Am I destined to be stranded in this world? Can I return to my homeland? What should I do if I can't return to my own world? Can I survive in this world? Where should I live if I can't return?

Those kinds of thinking keep appearing in my mind and make me must consider what should do if those really happen. I'm still in the middle of the thought when I heard a commotion from the kitchen. Lazily, I wake up to see what happened there.
