89 Chapter 89: A New World
09:00 AM, New Haven City, Infinity Island.
Many figures gathered in the lobby with Dr. Veritas, Billy and Arias standing at the front.
"How long will you be gone Father?".
One of the figures wore a sad face as she stepped forward towards Arias. Arias smiled and placed his hand on her head and patted it.
"Very little time will pass here, less than a week at most. We just need a large enough building and a few other things, and we will build a door way back."
Arias, Billy and Dr. Veritas who were in formal wear faced a glowing door in the lobby.
"I'll keep things stable here don't worry."
A lovely white haired woman quickly added. Arias turned to her and nodded before walking through the door. Dr. Veritas walked through without saying a word and Billy had a smug grin as he waved everyone goodbye.
Nearítheá pouted at this and snorted, but before she could say anything, he also went through and the door vanished.
"It's but a week dear, not like he's going forever now everyone get back to your routines".
Àpeiro spoke firmly and everyone nodded and began to disperse. Nearítheá maintained her pout.
"I know but why Billy and not me!".
Àpeiro ruffled the girl's hair and gestured her to follow.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, a portal appeared in a dark alleyway. Arias walked and two figures soon followed after him.
"Uh...is this the right place? Doesn't look so special".
Billy asked a little confused about their location. Arias didn't answer and began to walk out of the alley.
"It's the contents not the container that matters in the end".
Dr. Veritas answered Billy before following behind. Billy still seemed confused by the reason but shook his head and followed the pair nonetheless.
Arias walked out of the alleyway wearing a smile he looked at a tall building in the distance that stood above the rest. It's the most notable feature being a large crest of the letter A.
Soon Billy and Dr. Veritas appeared next to him. Arias walked to the side of the road and whistled for a cab. Soon one stopped by but when Arias signaled for Dr. Veritas and Billy to enter a man and three women rushed past him and tried to enter the cab.
The women entered first and the man turned to Arias while laughing.
"Sorry man you snooze you loose, Here's a hundred get yourself anoth-".
Before the man could finish his words he was dangling in the air.
"H-hey do you who-".
Arias felt a cliché line coming and threw him away against the wall of a building. Arias looked at the wide-eyed women and said in threatening voice
"Out".
The women rushed out frantically and went towards the now disoriented man.
"Tommy get up!".
Billy and Dr. Veritas entered the cab. Arias took out a wad of cash from his blazer and threw it at them.
"We're not whores!".
Arias tilted his head.
"You could have fooled me".
Arias got into the cab and turned to the driver.
"Royal Hotel".
The driver nodded.
"You got it buddy! And nice job teaching that Fabio looking kid a lesson I would do the same for my wife and son too."
Dr. Veritas wore a smile on her face after hearing the cab drivers words and Billy just looked at Arias who was seemed to be in thought.
About 18 minutes later they arrived at the hotel. Arias tipped the cab driver extra for his comical stories during the drive and got out of the vehicle. He started to walk towards the luxurious looking building with Billy and Dr. Veritas in toll.
Neither Billy nor Dr. Veritas seemed impressed as they were now used to the high life and nothing was higher than infinity Island.
Arias walked up to the receptionist. "I would like to book two of your best suites, and I'd also like to book your conference room for let's say a week". The receptionist nodded and checked if what he requested was available.
Seeing as it was available the receptionist told him the price and Billy who was carrying a bag pack walked over. Arias took out bundles of money and placed them on the counter.
"Erm we don't accept direct cash...".
Arias tilted his head.
"Is that so?".
Before the receptionist could respond a fat man came running
"A thousand apologies dear sir. Forgive her she's new, she doesn't know of our more underground guests he he. I will file you up immediately. Your "name" sir?".
The fat man said with a wink being overly obvious.
Arias sighed and spoke
"Adriel".
The fat man turned away to type a few things then gave Arias two key cards.
"The conference room you've booked is on the 34th floor Sir."
Arias nodded and left towards the elevator while Dr. Veritas and Billy followed. Once on their floor Arias handed Billy a key card and then went to the other suite with Dr. Veritas.
