Chapter 185: Prepare To Conquer ( Raven ) Part 2

'Things are moving faster than anticipated. I should at least ensure those four are up to par. At the very least I can feel my own power grow by the day.' Arias looked at his own hands with a strange determination before going to the residential floor.

It was currently 8 pm so many of the residents were yet to fall asleep, the majority were either resting after a long day or enjoying their evening at one of many facilities available on the gigantic floating city.

However during times like this there was always a few who chose isolate themselves in their rooms and enjoyed privacy.

Raven was one such person and she fairly enjoyed her alone time more than anything else. Today however she was the target of Arias's visit.

As things stood, only Kara was well versed with her powers in comparison to the others. Although she lacked maturity and was simple minded, she was stupidly powerful.

The goal was now to ensure his other three pupils reached at least this level. The problem was he only wanted those who he felt he could leave a psychological imprint on.

Billy saw him as family, Nearíthea saw him as her father and Kara saw him as a mentor who guided her when no one else could.

Although not 100% Arias felt these three would sooner risk their lives that allow any harm to come towards him. This is what separated them from the rest of the people he had recruited so far.

Slade, Harley, Shay had proven to be exceptional as well but it was impossible for him to see them in that manner. He felt his imprint within them wasn't yet at it's peak as well.

*ring*

Without pondering too much on the situation he rang the inquiry device on the side of the door that would let her know if someone was at her door.

Swoosh!~

The door opened a moment later with a casually dressed Raven looking as weary as usual.

She wore black tight leather pants that showed off her curves and a short black top with a matching leather jacket above.

"Yes?" She asked rather emotionlessly, like someone who had been exhausted after a long day.

Arias didn't immediately answer and instead just walked in. She didn't seem bothered by this and she simply clicked a screen mounted to the wall to close the door again before facing him.

Arias gave her room a quick glance, it was a standard stereotypical emo room but with far more grim elements.

The skulls that decorated her table of example were without a doubt real.

"I like what you've done with the place." Arias commented but his tone showed that he couldn't care in the least.

"Thanks." Raven also replied with some sarcasm and received a small smirk from Arias afterward.

He then turned to her bed and went to sit on the edge comfortably before facing her. "Alright, let's talk about how to make you a better you." He revealed.

"Is this a therapy session?" Raven asked with a small frown, she hated talking about her problems the most. Arias already knew her biggest one but he knew there was far more to it than that.

Even before he became who he was now, he had lied to numerous types similar to Raven. Their main problem simply acted as an instigator and sometimes an excuse for the other problems that plagued their lives.

For Raven it was her demonic background and heritage, something Arias felt he could deal with once he understood occult arts better or hard a master under him.

Until then he needed to connect with Raven using the other problems, eliminating them bit by bit until he himself became her safe space, something she couldn't stand to live without.

"Call it what you like, I've been ignoring it far too long because I believed you could solve your own problems but that isn't the case." Arias's tone took a drastic turn and suddenly became far more strict and serious, catching Raven off guard.

She has always been barely formal with Arias and he allowed it because he never really cared for titles, her lack for regard towards others was a deep part of herself that wouldn't just change because Arias was more powerful.

She listened and followed instructions but not in disciplined manner like Kara who had only recently stopped saluting Arias every time she saw him.

"I'm fine, my only problem is my father. Once everything with him is settled-"

"Don't interrupt me when I speak. Okay little one?" The atmosphere suddenly got heavy and Raven found it hard to breath.

The first step to gaining some ground with her was providing what she lacked most, a strict yet caring father figure.

"…"

Raven didn't know how to respond and so she simply remained silent but this only seemed to make her more uncomfortable and fidgety, this was a type of sensation he had never felt before.

She could feel Arias's cold eyes looking directly at her as she stood there not far in front of him like a child getting lectured. She couldn't even maintain eye contact long before muttering.

"Yes, I understand." She muttered hesitantly but that only lead to Arias adding more pressure.

"Is it hard to look at me when you answer? Well?" He asked again causing her to immediately raise her head and answer.

"It's not I, I was just caught off guard with what you called me." She replied honestly and received a small smirk from Arias.

"Understandable I suppose. Anyway getting back on the topic at hand, your father may be the most major problem but as long as you're with me he can neither reach your nor get you no matter how badly he tried. With me you're safe yet the problems still seem to be displayed…" Arias trailed off and stood from his seat before approaching Raven.

He didn't stop upon reaching her and instead just began to circle around her, like a predator stalking it's prey.

"You're distant, always depressed, rude to your peers, you barely eat and you don't even try to change, you just use the same excuse to wallow in your pity and I'm sick of it. Do you think I enjoy seeing you suffer?" Arias finally came to a stop and closed the distance between them before staring deeply into her eyes.

Her normally cool demeanor had long since crumbled and she now looked timid and unable to answer, like a child getting scolded.

"No, but I didn't think you cared okay! No one does!"

When she raised herself she so Arias raise his hand and immediately shirked, expecting to get hit, but instead she received a gentle pat on the head.

"If I didn't care I wouldn't have shaken up Olympus when you got caught. See, you don't think, that's why you're still like this. Since you want to act like a child you'll be treated as such until I see your act improve. Do you understand me little one?" He asked with narrowed eyes, causing Raven to gulp involuntarily and nod.

"I understand." She said softly.

"Good, then as a child don't you ever raise your voice in my home. Just speak and I will listen, okay?" He moved his hand from her head and began caressing her chin and cheek.

A feeling that made Raven feel important and cared for, so much so that her eyes became watery.

"Okay sir…"
