141 Chapter 129: Mutants Vs The World Part 4

Inside the Leviathan main building on the footing mega city, Arias was making his way through one of the halls with Raven and Kara by his side.

"Do you have a mission for us Sir?" Kara broke the silence as she turned her head to ask Arias why he requested their presence as it wasn't common for him to do so.

"No reason in particular, As the only two people directly taught by me it's important that you shadow me sometimes. Observe and share your thoughts on how I handle certain scenarios. They may come a day when you may need to do so without me present." Arias explained briefly but his reasoning brought a smile to Kara's face while Raven showed no particular reaction.

"You'll be leaving us?" Raven asked out of the blue causing Kara to look worriedly at Arias who nodded at the remark.

"One day perhaps, I can not clearly say at the moment but one day even I will move on. I'm just yet to achieve what I look for most in this life." Arias showed a small smile as he answered Raven vaguely.

Both Kara and Raven didn't question him any further but both wore slightly concerned expressions, albeit Raven's only lasted for a moment.

After a short walk, the trio arrived at one of the conference rooms present in the tower. Inside the room they found four figures seated and waiting patiently. Upon hearing the doors slide open, the figures looked in Arias's direction.

"Sorry for the delay. Kara, Raven, these are our guests from Professor Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. Due to circumstances I'll properly explain later they'll be staying on our mega city." Arias explained briefly before turning to begin introductions but was cut off before doing so.

"Yes a out that, as much as we appreciate your willingness to give the students a safe haven to grow and learn we'll have to decline." One of the figure's stood up before stating in a firm tone.

"Miss Emma Frost, is there a reason you chose to do this?" Arias didn't seem at all dazed by her sudden revelation and only asked for her reasoning. Behind her, Jean, Colossus and Storm remained seated letting her speak on their behalf.

"Quite simple really Mr. Adriel, you're classified by most governments as an omega-level threat. Most recently your confrontation with the Avengers and S.H.E.I.D solidified that stance. Saying a lot of people want you dead would be an understatement."

"Aside from that, after touring parts of your mega city it's very to see that this more a less a military society. Sure the children live good and happy lives but you're just using that as a front to groom them as you please and for your own purposes. I disagreed with the professor on many things but the last thing he would have wanted was for his students to become weapons for some mysterious man. Is that good enough reason for you?" Emma finished her explanation and narrowed her eyes at Arias who simply showed her a brief smile before turning to leave.

"Your reasoning is sound and fair enough. I'll have someone arrange transportation for you and the students soon. If anything else feel free to contact me." Arias replied calmly before placing his hands behind his back and exiting the room.

"That's not it at all! Everything Mr. Leviathan has done is-" Kara who was next to Arias however refused to just walk away as she found Emma's words insulting, but a gesture from Arias caused her to stop before saying anymore.

Instead the ever joyful Kara just glared at Emma and the others before following Arias and Raven.

"I'm sorry Sir but she's just making assumptions without truly understanding you." Kara apologized to Arias with her head lowered and fists clenched.

"It's fine, you were similar at some point as well remember? If they wish to take care of themselves then who are we to deny them that freedom? Let us just focus on our own issues okay?" Arias replied to Kara in a calm tone before patting her on the head along with Raven who found the gesture odd but comforting.

Back in the room, Emma stood confused by how Arias handled the situation.

"Maybe he really did have pure intentions for the students, he just seems overly protective of his people?" Jean looked at Emma and suggested but she shook her head.

"That's not it, it can't be that simple." Emma retorted while Storm stood up and shook her head.

"What's done is done, right now we should move on and start thinking of how we'll handle Magneto because he's hell bent on carrying out his insane plan." Storm reminded the group and they nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile said Magneto was currently at his base, already making plans on how next to proceed with his plan for mutant dominance.

"As we are now, we cannot hope to win as the combined forces of the world. That would be a fool's errand. Instead our targets are these more politically volatile nations. A united world would prove difficult to deal with while a divided one may even crumble on it's own." Magneto declared in confident tone to the many mutants present and they just listened, except for one.

"And just how do you plan on doing that? Causing more pointless wars?" Laura Kinney spoke up in a dissatisfied manner but Magneto maintained his smile and continued to explain.

"Bloodshed is unavoidable on the path to pursuing peace. Once our vision becomes reality, no more lives we'll need to be lost.

"Hmph, where have I heard that before." Laura dismissed the remark and left the area in an angry manner.

Wanda the Scarlett witch attempted to reach out to her but was gestured not to by Magneto.

"Leave her be, she's been through a lot and view of the world is a clouded one. She will soon see this path is right. Now, where do we begin..." As Magneto said this, Mystique who stood next to him took the form of the Korean head of state and smiled slyly.
