1: Durran Baratheon

Durran Baratheon, Son of Lord Steffon Baratheon and his wife Lady Cassana Estermont, is the Twin Brother of Robert Baratheon and thus a contender for the Lordship of Storm's End, Durran is five years old, and already very talented. But he has a secret, he was reincarnated into Game of Thrones as someone the Song of Ice and Fire never anticipated, and he will ensure it's a brighter and better future than the Books Show or Show ever gave us.

Having grown up in a family of Military Men, Construction Workers, and Brewers of Fine Alcohol, he knew that the best means to bring greater wealth to the Stormlands was to produce the Liquor of his past life and sell it to a limited number after doing a grand spread. Demand would outstrip the Supply, allowing him to either negotiate a premium price for a limited few or sell it at cost to larger market. Unfortunately that would not occur until his Father's death.

Obviously Tywin Lannister would try and get it, but Durran had his ways of getting the spies out. Of course, the men who produced his liquor would all die mysteriously if they tried to gift the few parts of the recipe that they were allowed to get to the Lannister's or anybody else.

Robert despite slightly feeling inferior to Durran was constantly at his side, the Twins working in tandem to great effect when fighting. Robert would flatten Foes with a Warhammer while Durran would pick them apart and herd them to his brother through the use of a Bastard Sword and/or a Spear. Durran was also a practitioner of Archery, favoring a Long Bow.

Durran already has a plan for his future. First he becomes the Heir, he spares his Mother from her death, and finds himself a wife that will either bring him something pleasurable to look at or fuck, or bring him great coin or men. Durran has one goal, the independence of the Stormlands. Robert can be King for all he wants, he just wants the Storm Crown...Of course, he could marry Catelyn Tully, that would give him an extra buffer against the Tyrell's but she's not worth the grief she causes. No a more appealing Match would be to Ashara or Allyria Dayne, Janna Tyrell, Bethany Redwyne, Dacey Mormont, Myranda Royce, or even Cersei Lannister.

Taking Cersei for himself while risky was not without merit. He knew what to do and what not to, he knew that Cersei Cucked Robert chiefly because during the bedding Robert called her Lyanna and of course there was the abuse. But Cersei was a double-edged Sword, and he'd always be walking on eggshells around her. Now Marrying Ashara Dayne or her Sister Allyria was less dangerous and only slightly less rewarding. The Reason Beric Dondarrion was betrothed to Allyria was because Beric was a Lord of the Marchers, and the match brought some stability to the Dornish-Stormlands Border as it was effectively a Pincer Movement. Marrying Allyria would nestle him a bride who actually gets married rather than what happened with Beric and Her, while Ashara gives him an opportunity for a son to claim Dawn following Ser Arthur's Death. Janna Tyrell on the other hand was Buxom and prone to Gossip, but it did get him a dowry equal to that of Cersei and allowed him freedoms that Cersei would not give. Myranda Royce was not dissimilar from Janna, but he'd only stake a claim on her after her husband dies, he'd allow her to "mourn" the old codger for a year or two before approaching Nestor for her hand.

And lastly but certainly not least is Dacey Mormont and Bethany Redwyne. Now Bethany had been supposed to wed Brynden "The Blackfish Tully, but we all know how that ended up happening. But marrying her would give the Rebellion superiority at Sea and make the Siege of Storm's End less problematic. Dacey Mormont was more a favor to his past self. Durran had always felt something for the one women in Robb Stark's Warrior Guard, and she could easily be Lady Sif from the MCU as the two are probably the closest to a carbon copy available. But Dacey had TWO glaring downsides, her house was poor and had less than three quarters of the Men of the others. Granted in that case he wouldn't be looking for it, he'd just be enjoying some northern cherry.

But these were details that while necessary to clear up now were not as important as what was happening....

(Steffon Baratheon POV)

-----------------------------------------

Steffon watched as his son's trained in the Yard, he was torn, he loved them both equally but even now at such a young and tender age it was clear that Durran was better suited to becoming the Heir. A skilled and talented boy whose mastery of The Sword or Spear was frightening, his precise Archery and the fact his only glaring weakness was mathematics stood out prominently.

Plus Durran was quick to make friends already having befriended Beric Dondarrion quite quickly. Durran was also capable of picking up Languages like it was nothing, being able to replicate varying accents nearly perfectly such as taking on a Ghiscari Accent when speaking High Valyrian.

However, Steffon did not wish to cause strife to his Son's relationship as a result of the decision. A series of tests seemed necessary to test his boys capabilities, even if some deemed them futile Steffon needed to know with absolute certainty as changing ones Heir wasn't especially easy. It only occurred if the King granted permission, or the current Heir died. Of course if Lord consistently sired daughters the eldest would become Heiress at least until a Son was born to him.

Lord's Connington and Morrigen were at each other's throats once again and Bandits were becoming a problem. He could send both his sons to one each or he could send them to the same to get a decisive decision from each to take under advisement. The only question was to whom should which task should be given or which should be seen to first.....

(POV Shift: Durran Baratheon)

-----------------------------------------

Durran was acutely aware that his father was observing him and Robert training in the Yard, but did not show off anymore than usual, unlike Robert who always did.

Durran only ever showed off more than usual if his mother was watching. It was obvious to many that Durran favored his mother's company while Robert preferred their father's company. Durran had a sense of humor that was only ever really brought out by his mother, Robert by contrast only ever felt comfortable around his father or the Soldiers

''That's enough.'' Steffon calls. ''Boys meet me in my Solar.'' Their Father instructs after they cease their training routines.

-----------------------------------------

''I have a task for each of you, Robert I need you and Eldon to investigate the increase in Bandit activity and determine whether or not an armed response is needed and if it is how many men we'd need . As for you Durran, I need you to travel to Crow's Nest and Griffin's Roost and determine the truth of the latest dispute between Lord Morrigen and Lord Connington. Take an escort of Thirty Guards each." Steffon instructs and Robert quickly departs.

"Father, I'd like to have Beric come to Storm's End to foster with me. He's my friend and I want him close." Says Durran before departing....

-----------------------------------------

(POV Shift: Steffon Baratheon)

-----------------------------------------

Beric Dondarrion, young son and heir of Lord Bor Dondarrion. The Boy had quickly become friends with Durran. The two wrote each other often, and a Fostering was not unwarranted, It was safe to say that if Durran became the Lord of Storm's End, Beric would be Durran's Man for life. This brought up the issue of the Fostering Discussions that he and Cassana had been discussing. They had received several offers for the Fostering of their sons. Jon Arryn of the Vale, Tywin Lannister of the Rock, Rickard Stark of the North, and even Luthor Tyrell of the Reach and Merissa Martell of Dorne. Steffon had narrowed the list of people he'd trust to send Durran to three names; Tywin, his dear friend and comrade. Merissa Martell, the Princess of Dorne. And Jon Arryn or Rickard Stark. He was more than a little bit inclined to send Robert to Jon, as Jon had been fostered at Storm's End by Lord Jasper, and the two of them had become fast friends.

But What of Durran?

The Boy was an anomaly, flirtatious, daring, and adventurous one minute before abruptly shifting to cold, cunning, and brooding. Who was best suited to foster his boy? Of course Cassana had the final say as she considered Durran her favorite, which was the boy's own fault. Durran doted on Cassana, and she brought out his mirthful side better than anybody else could. hmm.

-----------------------------------------

(POV Shift: Durran Baratheon)

-----------------------------------------

Durran rode with Thirty Guardsmen, all young men and fresh recruits to the Storm's End Garrison. The group was riding to Griffin's Roost first as it was closest. But truthfully, Durran knew that Armond Connington was at fault, he already had a name for the man, set to be given as soon as the bastard involved Rhaegar. Armond the Greedy. That'll piss Jon Connington off, especially when the two of them go at it after Armond's death. Durran wanted to antagonize the Connington's as much as possible, get them to become quarrelsome and reckless, making his plans easier at the end of the day.

After the visit to Griffin's Roost, he'd drop by Crow's Nest, and following that he'd head to Blackhaven to call on Beric, his best friend in the Stormlands. Durran didn't know why Beric had been born a good twenty years earlier than he had been in cannon, but was grateful for it nonetheless. He already had Beric, now all he needed was a few others and his little group of companions and favorites would be ready to debut and show off their skills as a unified force.....

Chapter End

-----------------------------------------

I hate the fact That the Authors Note won't accept the fact I wrote the permitted amount on my PC but the Fucking App doesn't allow me to revise the chapter with an Authors note in excess of Five Hundred Characters. It's such a load of total fucking Bullshit. So it's just down here now until Ifix it up on my PC:

-----------------------------------------

I'm taking a few liberties obviously, but just a few. Now then That Brides List is not finalised, and won't be poll determined, that said I'd appreciate your guys help nevertheless.

It's just helpful knowing what you guys like to see. Now please understand I'm trying to bring in a different bride for each Story I have written in Thrones in the Era I've been writing it in. So while I'm not opposed to Janna Tyrell or Ashara Dayne, I'm not as especially inclined as before.

I'm gonna try and keep a minimum of 1,200 to 1,650 words per chapter since I can't handle Odd Numbers like say 1,651 is an absolute no no, I'll increase it just to hit either a perfect 1,655 or 1,660. There's no in between. It drive sme insane otherwise. It's not just with writing, I count in twos, if I score an odd number of goals in a game of soccer be it real or on FIFA I score an equalizing number that sits at the end with a 5 or 0 next time, same with assists.

I'm OCD that way I suppose.

Now then I have some news for you guys.

I am going to be working on two other stories as well as this. Considering that I passed on the Targaryen Idea to my cousin Bossbovatannin, I have no use for the story I had unpublished on that topic. So I've repurposed it in order to write a Mass Effect Story which will ultimately be split into a second Story after the First Game.

The other Story I'll be working on is obviously going to be the Arryn One.

Now That Story in particular will follow the similar type as this one, Gerold, and Barthogan.

Before I sign off here I want to say one very important thing, this draws inspiritation from Baratheon The Schemer, but is less fucked up or at least is intended to be less. I'm not raging on the guy who wrote it, it's just after you get to Book 1's Cannon it's like it's too fucking predictable at this point.

Also, Noble-Tiger if Your reading my work after I told you about it when I was on Quesh thanks man, gonna try and get Asarien active in Guild participation again, but only so much time left to do it. See you guys soon and you readers next chapter!
