20 Visions

As Arthor made his way through the village looking for his father he could hear the murmurs of the people.

No doubt his words from earlier were now known by everyone, but Arthor didn't care, seeing was believing and he was soon going to show this people proof.

He soon found his father speaking to Shyra the tribes witch. He didn't now the woman all to well even back in the village as he mostly kept to himself focussing on training.

"Father, Shyra" Turning to the woman the tattoos on her face as well as none piercings attracted his curiosity. "Arthor, we were just talking about you. What is it?" Arthor went straight to the point telling his father of his plans, "Arthor" his father let out a sigh realizing his words did nothing to deter his son at all.

Shyra who silently listened to the conversation from the side let out a cough to get their attention, "since Arthor is already here why don't we do what I discussed, it might even help you come to a decision about his request."

"hmm" Harwood scratched his chin for a moment as he thought about it before agreeing to her, "very well" Harwood agreed whilst Arthor who stood at the side had his confusion and curiosity reach an all new high as he wondered what the to were talking about and just how that will help his father come to a decision.

"Follow us", before Arthor could ask however Harwood called for him to follow them. Arthor was led some distance away from the rest to a hut that was built close to some weir wood trees. Entering the hut Arthor quickly understood whose hut this was, some skulls of unicorns as well elks and wolves decorated the hut.

A strange smell filled the entirety of the hut, "sit" Shyra spoke to him as she moved to grab some things. Arthor glanced at his father who simply gave him a nod before he sat down curious as to what was about to happen. Shyra moved around performing some sort of ritual muttering something to herself in some incomprehensible tongue.

The atmosphere in the hut got heavier with Arthor beginning to fell as though he was sinking in a swamp, as the pressure reached an all time high Shyra sat before him and grabbed his arms causing both to let out a gasp.

The sight before Shyra changed as she found herself in a frozen landscape, the cold winds like nothing she had ever felt before bit into her as though trying to freze her from the inside out. With her vision obscured by the heavy snowfall, she began walk forward, hoping to find out what was going on.

After a couple of steps she came to a halt as her foot made contact with something, looking down she saw exactly what her foot had made contact with. At her feet was an ice sculpture, the likes of which she had never seen, it had armor whose design resembled men of the south, but what set this sculpture apart from any she had ever seen was the amount of detail in its expression.

There it was, it's eyes widened with its lips parted as though letting out a silent scream, completely capturing the emotion of fear. As she reached out to touch it however, she came to a halt, a frightening thought had popped into her mind as the cold originating from the statue made its way into her.

"It can't be" she muttered to herself but as she had a closer look the thought grew stronger. This wasn't some ice statue but rather a man who had literally be turned to ice, as she came to this conclusion the expression which had once intrigued her, terrified her.

As she scampered away from the corpse the heavy snow suddenly lifted showing an innumerable amount of bodies in a similar state to the one she had just seen. The bodies were of varying people, she saw southerners, Essosi, Iron born and even Skagossi.

The bodies were not just men no... no they contained people of all genders of all ages from babes to people who had a foot in the grave, they had varying expressions some in abject horror, some pleading for mercy but the ones that terrified her the most were the everyday expressions she saw on some as though they were completely unaware when death came for them.

Shyra had seen many frightening scenes in her life but this nothing was like this, she turned to get away from this place but stopped when she saw them. Pale blue light that hid just behind the receding snow. As the snow when away she realized they were not lights but eyes giant pale blue eyes of dozens of creatures which seemed to be living ice.

"Ice dragons..." she couldn't help but utter as she recognized the beasts. Atop the largest one whose body she could not fully see stood a man who stared her down with eyes similar to the beast he rode, those eyes seemed to produce a frost so strong she felt her soul begin to freeze.

At this point, she realized her mistake, the creature before her was no man this was the devil. The creature he had stood opened it giant maw from which it released a massive frost which rushed to devour her, Shyra could only let out a ghastly scream in response.
