It Felt Worth It.

Guo Yina was playing with her doll when Guo Leiwu came to call her outside. A big shy grin straight away embellished her small pink lips showing her happiness. It was quite rare for someone to come to meet them and ever since her daddy had told her that a very beautiful aunt would be coming specifically to meet her; her happiness had no bounds.

Dressed up in a white printed frock, she made a little jump to get down from the bed and made her way to stand before the mirror to check herself. She looked pretty!

With ebullience obvious in her form, she took out a pretty white-flowered hairclip from the drawer to put it on her hair but she ended up struggling while setting it on her hair.

Looking at the reflection of her father in the mirror who was leaning by the door with his arms crossed, she cried in distress "Daddy! This clip!"

He walked towards the struggling form with a smile, "Here. I will put it for you! You seem really happy today!"

"Yes!"

"If I would have known that you get happy just by someone visiting our home then I would have already asked all of my acquaintances to pay us a visit every day."

Guo Leiwu was glad that his daughter was in quite a good shape today. She had been high on fever the past two days and even yesterday he had thought about cancelling their plans for today to bring her to the hospital.

"It's done! Let's not make them wait for long!"

Placing her small hand in his large ones, Guo Yina headed with her father to the living room. Even though she was extremely happy from inside however with each step, she could feel her heart growing heavy because of the nervousness.

She had been hearing a lot about that auntie and her cousins from her father for years now and because of that in her mind, she had secretly admired and longed to meet them for a long time now.

But now when she could finally meet one of them, her young heart couldn't help but worry about different scenarios. What if they did not like her? Would they think that she was a disappointment because of her illness? They loved daddy so they would like her too since she was his daughter, right?

Jiang Ying Yue was tenderly looking at the photographs of the father-daughter duo hanging on the wall of the residing room when she heard mild steps from behind.

Turning at her place, she discovered Guo Leiwu walking ahead with a few steps alongside an extraordinarily adorable girl who was taking her small steps shyly at the back.

She was awestruck watching his daughter. Her cousins had informed her that his daughter was very cute which they found out from the photos they were given by the investigator but right now...whatever praises she had heard about her from them were like a needle in haystack.

Probably because she had known her father for a long time, an instant liking was what Jiang Ying Yue was currently feeling for this little girl. When they stopped walking after entering the living room, Guo Yina nervously hid herself behind her father's leg making Guo Leiwu chuckle.

"What happened now? You had been so happy to meet them for two days but look at you now, hiding behind me!"

Jiang Ying Yue strode to where they were standing and squatted down to the girl's height and forwarded her hand towards her, "Hello, Xiao Yina! I am Auntie Yue, Nice to meet you. You are such a lovely girl!!"

Her dazzling smile made the little girl feel as if a shining fairy was up in there.

The brilliant face made her come out of her hiding and offer her a small smile. Slipping her hand from her father's she brought out her right hand forward to give a handshake.

"Hello, Auntie Yue!"

'So warm! Her hand is so warm!' That was the thought going through the little girl's mind as she looked at Jiang Ying Yue with an admiration look on her face.

The little girl looked so adorable and cute that Jiang Ying Yue couldn't stop the increasing yearning of pulling her to a hug. "Xiao Yina! You are so cute so sorry but auntie couldn't stop herself from reaching out for a hug!"

After hugging the little soft body to her heart's content she broke the hug to stand up and go to the gifts she had brought along.

Qin Zihao chirped from the side to greet the little lady who was having the most cutest innocent expression, "Hello Guo Yina! I am Qin Zihao!"

"Call him Uncle Zihao." Guo Leiwu instructed Guo Yina softly.

"Uncle Zihao! Hello, It's nice to meet you!"

"Xiao Yina! Come to Auntie! Look here I have brought so many gifts for you! Tell me if you don't like something, we will go exchange it then!" Jiang Ying Yue called the little girl to the couch she was sitting on.

Guo Yina hesitated a bit and subconsciously looked at her father seeking his approval with an innocent face. Guo Leiwu sighed in defeat, "It's alright, Go to her. She is very stubborn even if I tell her to not give you anything she would end up buying the whole shop to gift you. This time, she has really compromised a lot with her capabilities."

Just by gazing at the overstuffed bags, one could tell that she had infused the gifts in these two bags beyond the capacity.

If it was some other day, he might have nagged her a lot but today was special! His daughter was surprisingly very happy today and he did not want to spoil the day for her.

After getting his approval Guo Yina went to sit with Jiang Ying Yue who gave her a big grin and went on to hand her the gifts one by one to unpack. Guo Leiwu was looking at them with deep emotions from the side and had an instant inkling that the decision he had made was going to turn their life towards good only.

He had never felt his mind being so peaceful and light as it had been in the past two days. It was as if this was what his mind was waiting for him to do before rewarding him with peacefulness.

All this while Qin Zihao was going through a hard time keeping his expression stoic. Right now he was sitting right beside Guo Leiwu on the couch who was having a casual chat with Jiang Ying Yue. And here, there was a chaos going on in his heart.

Damn! Now that he thought about it, it was better if he had asked about his identity after they had done this meeting, at least when he was ignorant about his identity he was living his life calmly.

When Guo Yina had finished going through all of her gifts with delight, Go Leiwu finally told them to pack the things so that they could have food now. It was already evening.

They had spent their all the time chatting with Guo Yina and getting her comfortable with them.

Guo Leiwu had made Guo Yina eat her meal as they were talking in the living room so that she could take her medicines and rest on time. By the time he made her sleep on her bed, he closed the door behind him quietly and moved to the dining table.

Jiang Ying Yue and Qin Zihao had reheated the food and were already waiting for him.

When they used to live in City S, Jiang Ying Yue had been unlucky enough to eat the food cooked by Guo Leiwu two-three times and had realised it quite early that his cooking was just inedible. So this time after eating the food prepared by him, Jiang Ying Yue was in doubt if he had really prepared this.

It was just that good!

"You have improved!" She was in awe after taking the first bite that the praise naturally escaped her lips.

Guo Leiwu was proud of himself after hearing the praise. Only he knew how difficult it was for him to get his cooking skills to reach this point from nothing.

Ever since he started taking care of his daughter, a sudden urge to be good at everything so that he doesn't have to ever depend on others grew inside him.

The urge was stronger than anything else that made him go through sleepless nights too but after each tiring day, every time he used to stare at his daughter's sleeping face, it felt worth it!
