**(Altair's POV )**

Walking across the courtyard. looking at Ned Starks and Robert Baratheon along with some of the knights from our Vassals preparing for the tourney at Harrenhal. I stood there watching their every move and practicing memorizing them in my mind. Now and then I congratulate the winners of the spar by shaking their hand or patting them on the back while they are resting. I did this to research about reflexes and muscle memory. These numerous battle-hardened warriors are a treasure trove of research materiel.

Many things have happened in these years. We went to Storms End in the same year that I killed to maester to attend a tourney in memory of Robert's parents. This journey was very fruitful as I got to eat a lot of different types of food. This also let me discover some wonderful animals which can be used to improve myself.

On the way back we also had to go to Kings Landing to attend Prince Rhaegar Targaryen's wedding to Elia Martell. She is a very beautiful woman. Sadly I cannot partake in such pleasures yet. I can use my power to enlarge my penis abnormally and activate my hormones and balls but that would only freak the women out and I would have to kill them. If anyone sees me doing all this I would surely be burned at stake by these superstitious fools.

Last year we also received reports of increasing madness of kings Aerys II Targaryen. Although rumours point towards the side effects of his family's incestuous behaviour, I suspect foul play is behind his increasing madness. Any genetic defects should have manifested by the time he turned adult and it is very rare for such a thing to happen.

When I saw him at Rhaegar's wedding he didn't look so Mad. I would have loved to conduct some neurological experiments with him. Laughing at my inner treasonous thoughts I looked at Ned and Robert fighting. I saw Andar Royce approaching me, "Soon when you are 5 name days old you will be able to train alongside us, my lord.

I looked at him and smiled at his words. Over the years we have become very close to each other and I have also asked him to bring his younger brother - who is a year older than me - to Eyrie many times to play and see the castle. As I have to cultivate some loyal men around me and I don't want a brave vassal knight to die for that sword swallower Renly Baratheon. I started to chat with him.

Altair: I am looking forward to the day of fighting side by side with you Ser Andar. Ask your father to allow your brother to train with us.

Andar: My Lord rumours about your crass behaviour and cruel words are known to all in seven kingdoms. Some I have witnessed some myself but I don't understand something.

Altair: what is it that you don't understand Ser Andar?

Andar: while you don't even spare the cruellest of remarks for most people in the castle including your father, you haven't ever spoken impolitely to some of us knights like me and my uncle Nestor?

Altair: Even the gods are unkind to most people, how can I be kind and graceful to all? My kindness is only reserved for my most loyal subjects.

Andar: My Lord but we are all knights loyal to your family plus they have never taken offence at your words and actions or behaved out of line

Altair: Andar as the future heir to Runestone you must know, the false face must hide what the false heart doth know.

Altair: Those people that you see look like the innocent flower, But are serpents under't.

Andar was stunned to silence for a few moments as the spars continued. He was deeply thinking about my words.

Andar: Then why be so cruel to your kin? your father has always wished you well…

Altair: I have done so as well. However, flattery corrupts both the giver and the receiver. He can at least keep himself alive longer by listening to my harsh words and looking beyond his honour.

Andar: I understand your words but I never understood your grudge against our honourable ways and traditions my lord.

One day you will be knighted and then you will have to follow, the knight's code and preserve your honour.

Altair: Their honour, their code; it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as honourable as the world allows them to be. You'll see- I'll show you. When the chips are down these, uh, honourable people?

Altair: Now that your doubts have been cleared tell me where is your father? The rest of the lords and ladies of Vale have arrived. Except for those who would join us at King's Road all of them have arrived.

Andar: Aye My Lord, he should be here before the sun goes down.

Altair: Tell him to see me, I have some matters to discuss with him in private. See to it that only he gets the message.

Altair: Aye M'lord

I go toward where Robert and Ned Stark are. I experiment with their muscles and the features of their DNA. Robert is truly a beast in human form, Robert in the show doesn't do justice to his fierce nature. Roberts's muscles are almost at the peak performance humanly possible. So is his lungs and heart, only this way can he swing that heavy hammer like a madman without getting tired.

My relationship with Robert is very good, while Ned always has opposed my views. Ned is very much like my father in his younger days but his stark bloodline enhances his physics. When I was analyzing Ned Stark I faced a lot of resistance and couldn't look past basic details. It's the magic in his blood that is resisting my powers. I keep trying to analyze him to exercise my powers against his resistance.

However, despite our opposing views, my relationship with him is quite good, as unlike how I do with my father I don't harshly rebuke him. At most, we both oppose each other's views over a few words. Why should I, I don't care whether he lives or dies. I also try to show the truth to my father through my criticizing remarks because of my mother, I try to keep him alive as repayment to the woman who let my heart feel some warmth after many years.

Thinking about my mother and the past I couldn't help but recall what I have achieved over the past few years.
