A fight.

"This is so cool!" Rain exclaimed with her mouth wide open. They had just entered the simulation room and everything in there felt and looked so real. "If you weren't holding my hand right now Lilith l would say that this is damn real. It is a whole new world! How is this even possible?" She asked not expecting that anyone would give her a good answer as they all looked surprised, except Florate.

"I know right!" Lilith added. "Seconds ago, we were just in this big room, and boom! We are in this jingle if l must say"

"This is totally amazing!" Rain complimented again.

"It's not that good Rain" Florate commented with a serious face. "What do you mean it's not that good?" Rain didn't want to sound upset, actually she wasn't but did a bad job in keeping her cool.

"I mean its just the work of a model that mimics the operation of an existing or proposed system, providing evidence for decision-making by being able to test different scenarios or process changes and this can be coupled with virtual reality technologies for a more immersive experience" he said, all in one breathe. "I am am sure it is one of the works of my parents l experienced this alot when l was still a kid. See, it's nothing but science and gadgets at work and it all sucks. I wonder why we can't have an actually forest for this test, l mean one full of real elements of nature, not this unreal science fiction" he ended his statement with a sigh of disappointment.

"Oh Florate" Rain held his hand. "It not that bad, you may not find it cool but it really is fascinating and am sure you see it that way too if you recognize that we are here too" she smiled sweetly to him.

"Shit Rain don't make this all romantic" Lilith teased. "We are here for the test and nothing more. So whether you like the place or not, let's just get this test over with and leave here".

"Ok ok. Joy killer" Rain eyed her.

"I love you too" she replied with a smile bit their happy moment was cut short by someone very saucy.

"I am definitely not playing the roll of a team leader here" Lyra scoffed as she looked at the members of her team. "Because l am sure it's obvious that l don't even want to be in this team, l wish l were in Nex's team am sure l would love it there and it would be so easier to win there. Every one here sucks and l hate all of you especially you Lilith" she pointed accursedly.

"Me? What did l do to you to make you destest me this much Lyra? You know if you gave it a chance, we could be good friends" she tried to smile to her.

"In your dreams purple freak!" She said disgustingly. "Even if you were the only person on earth, l would never be your friend" she said sternly.

"That's enough Lyra!" Rain yelled at her. "You are already a part if this team and there's absolutely nothing you can do to change that".

"Really Rain!" She looked at her with the most ugly frown. "Is there really nothing l can do about it? I could go join Nex's team now if l wanted"

"That won't be a good idea Lyra" another boy spoke. He didn't seem interested before but maybe Lyra's idea of breaking the team got his attention. "This teams were created by the grand sensei and l can assure you that he is keeping track of us all, do not give yourself and us all a reason to fail". He spoke sensibly to her but every one was certain that Lyra would never listen.

But to their greatest surprise, she did listen to him. It was as if she saw something in him that forced her to heed or was it what he said? "Ok, fine. Let's stay together and get this test over with already" she said determined with a clenched fist as she led the way. Still with the surprised faces, they all followed after as their test really began this time, not as if they won't face any other hurdles on the way.

It was certain the test was going to take hours, alot of it. They all have just reached the forest of flowers but still no sign of the bridge. There were six groups and all had thirty six members. That was a total of two hundred and sixteen level one aspirants that were up the test and with the look of things, Nex's team was taking the lead. It was obvious he was the one leading, no doubts or questions about that in the first place and you say he was doing a great job. Because his team was more coordinated than any other teams.

The search of the bridge didn't need any team to spread out, as it would be getting in the way of another and that would be a bad choice to make. Lilith's team was led by a boy from Florate's class, the same who calmed Lyra down when she was just about to break the team and cause them a failure, Linthorn.

He didn't seem like the strongest of all but he sure had the spirit to keep everyone together, he was a fine leader that was true but he still has not led them to were the bridge was. They all seemed lost, and began to wonder if they will find bridge atall or if it even existed.

"We have walked for far too long!" A girl complained as she sat on a rock. "I am sure it must be night time in the real world now, can we atleast take some rest". A few joined her choice to take rest, as they too found suitable places to seat down.

"Edith is right" another supported. "I can't even feel my feet anymore" she rather laid on the leaves than sat on the rock. She felt very tired and needed to take a good rest.

"Do you all realize that if another group gets to the bridge and finds the light before we do, we fail" Linthorn reminded with his voice sounding like he was ordering them to get up. He really did not mean to act rude or bossy, but he only wanted for them all to win the test.

"I knew it right from the start that this group was destined to fail!" Lyra said from where she stood on a rock with her brown boots looking dirty and rough from all the walks. "That's it, l am leaving this shit group! I am going to join some real team, where l would get this test over with and get a good shower". She came down from the rock and took forceful steps towards another direction in the forest.

"Don't do this Lyra" Linthorn called out. "We are supposed to work as a team!"

"Oh yeah!" She turned back to look at him. "Well screw this team"

She was about to continue her steps when she bumped into someone else. Their heads hit together and she felt her head ache hard after the bump.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" She yelped in pain. "Don't you see where you are going?" She asked with a deep frown.

"I am so sorry" the girl quickly apologized within her unsteady pants. "I really didn't mean to bump into you like that".

"What's going on here?" The rest of Lyra's team came on the sound of her yelp, they really did watch out for team members, even if Lyra despised her them.

"This girl bumped into me!" She quickly complained, with her hand on her head.

"You girl. Where are your team members?" Linthorn asked the obviously scared girl, who looked to be in desperate need of help.

"My... Team. l don't know how many of us that are left uncrippled or seriously injured" she answered sadly.

"Oh my god" Lilith gasped. "What on earth happened to them?".

"It's Nex, his team rose against ours and they are aiming to maim each and every one of us, so that they will have nothing on their way to success. I am sure your team or another would be next soon. I am just seeking for the exit, l must leave this place" she ended with a determined face as she left them to continue her search, hoping they would make good use of the information she spilled to them.

"Oh my god! Linthorn you are our leader and you better think of what we must do because l definitely am not ready to have any scar that would remind me of today" Lyra said with fear written all over her face. Not just her, every one was scared and it was very stupid to ask why, no one wanted to get injured or loose an opportunity to level up. They all wanted to pass the test and leave this place in one piece.

"Nex must be stupid" Lilith cursed. "Why would he reason to maim his fellow aspirants just to be the only one to get the gold. That is just crazy".

"Well it's not against the rules" Rain remarked but got piercing glares from all of them. "What? It's really not against the rules" she said again not minding what they might say to her.

"That its not against the rules does not mean he should do it Rain" Lilith seemed very pissed. "What do we do Linthorn?" She asked the one who had the final say right now.

"I believe Rain has said it all" he exhaled deeply.

"Wait what excatly did l say" Rain didn't get him at all.

"It's not against the rules, so if they want a fight we give them a fight"..
