The Begining of the end

Kia and Kasey were born at a old run down hospital in the capital of Barbados, to a mother that was mentally challenged for quite a number of years. Their father was a middle aged, rum drinking womanizer, they called him Fox. Their mum, Kathy, nineteen years of age had to decide what she was going to do with these two beautiful babies, after all she was staying with Fox and he told Kathy after he learned she was pregnant "get d rid of dem two bitches dem gine b wutless like u".

Kathy looked around the hospital and realized everyone was happy with their babies except her.

"Lord y u give me two whole babies instead a one"? she sobbed quietly. As the nurse came to tell Kathy she was discharged and she and the babies could go home, she started crying loudly and asked "where am i going to go? I cant take them with me, i have to leave them here". The nurse became quite upset with Kathy and explained the other options she had instead of just leaving the babies there.

Kathy decided she would speak to the Social worker the next day and give up her babies for adoption. It hurt her to the core but she had no where to put them.

The next day she met with the Social worker and gave up her babies. Not knowing if she would ever see them again, she asked the social worker if she could give them something, which the lady agreed she could. In their belongings she put a pair of earrings made of gold with the letters K. Thats all she could give them. Her beautiful babies where gone.
