Hail Hydra

Gora:

"Hahahaha... AHahah!" I laughed so hard tears started to flow down my face. Titan huff at me. The serpent had the strangest look on his face. That made me laugh even harder, making me fall backwards. I slid down the snake's back, my laughter all but stopped as I gained speed. Thankfully Titans curl his body slow that I would slow down a bit.

Bang!

"Ouch!" I yelp as my head hits the forest floor. I sat up to scratch my skull as Titan got closer to my face.

"You dare laugh at the great Hydra! You practically spit on the pride of every serpent alive. Human!" Titan announced, releasing his blood lust. (Well, that just won't do!) I thought as I released my own killer intent. Black aura radiated from my entire body, and the air grew heavy. I could see Titan struggling to keep his head from hitting the ground. The beast tried to hide his surprise, but I could tell I had shocked him. I was happy with the results. I had made the mistake of letting Warr disrespect me, and we see how that ended. I needed to put my foot down now. I couldn't have insubordination in my ranks. No, I need unity. There may come a time that I rely on my guardians to save my life.

"I'm laughing at you! Fool. And stop calling me human. My name is Queen Gora Hydra, the former princess of Esha." I announced a big grin on my face. I had no idea beast knew about Mog, but Titan did. The way he talked made it sound as if he revered my pain in the ass maid.

"Yeah, Yeah, Gora Hydra... "Titan paused mid sentences. I could see the wheels in his head already spinning.

"Did you say princess of Esha? She is a demon, half anyway. And that would explain the sword. No normal blade could cut my scales so easily." Titan kept mumbling to himself. I watched the snake try and figure it out for himself. But it was taking far too long.

"Lady Mog was my head maid," I stated flatly before getting up to my feet. I dusted off my coat and began walking. The sun was starting to go down, and I wanted to find a place to camp. I knew Warr hadn't made it back yet, so I figured I still had some time.

As I walked, I realized Titan hadn't moved in a long while. I turned back to see the shocked serpent. His large jaws were now touching the ground as he stood there starring at me. ( I think I broke him.) I joked as I looked back at the beast. It looked like his brain had just stopped working.

"YOU KNOW LADY MOG!" Titan screamed. I simple shook my head as I began to walk again, giggling to myself. ( Mog would love this!) I thought, rolling my eyes. I told the beast to follow me, and I would share my story with him.

Titan seemed to perk up at my words. The giant serpent raced after me like a puppy trying to catch up to its master. I found us a spot to camp out for the night. I took my take, settling down as the giant beast waited with his ears burning. I was having fun torturing him. I finally decided to tell him after making a fire. Usual, I wouldn't make a campfire at night to be safe, but I figured no beast would dare bother the massive snake and me.

I spent most of the night explaining my situation. I told him how I was the only princess of the demon kingdom. Well, at least I was. I wouldn't be surprised if my womanizing father had another child while I was gone. I also explained how I got stuck in the forest. The serpent sat and listened to it all with open ears. That is until we got to the portion about Mog. The snake asked question after question about my maid. I answered most of them but had to stop the beast. It was getting late, and I was starting to get tired.

"Come on, just tell me what was she like! The snake pleaded. I waved him off as I rolled over, facing away from Titan. Try as I might, the beast just wouldn't let up.

"Leave me be worm. I'm trying to sleep. I've talked enough already...I honestly don't know why you're so crazy about Lady Mog." I said. The tale of the Hydra was well known by many. But no one other than the demon race really cares much about it. It was surprising to me to see Titan so enamoured with my maid.

"All the snakes have heard the tale of lady Mog." Titan announced. He then decided to tell me the story himself. I told him I didn't care what he did. I was going to sleep. Although I didn't turn around, I listened intently to the tale.

The Great Hydra:

Long ago, far before Titan or even his parents were born. Live three snakes, all born in the beast forest. Each one was born with a horrible defect. There was Muzzle, a black mamba born with half its mouth fused together. Her sister Obra, a cobra, was born with no eyes and Grow. A large viper born without the ability to hear. The three serpents were birth to a mighty mythical serpent and cast out for being weak.

The three snakes should have died. With the disabilities, most would think the beast wouldn't last long. But they prove the world wrong. To survive, the three beasts curled their tales together. This was they would make up for each other shortcoming. From then on, the three snakes moved as one hunted as one and survived as one. But even then, they could only go so far.

Only one of them reach layer five. Muzzle, the middle snake and older sister of the trio. Reached the mythical layer before her sisters. Although Muzzle grew strong enough to survive alone, she never abandoned her weaker sibling. This became Muzzles downfall. She would stay and protect her sibling even when they ran into a powerful demon who bested the trio with ease. Muzzle was given a chance to run and save herself. Instead, she stayed and fought with her siblings. The three serpents thought it was the end for them, but surprisingly the demon spared them.

This demon was impressed by the trios determination to survive and made the three his guardians. The demon and his three beasts conquered many lands and fought in many wars. All in the name of the Goddess of chaos. Muzzle and her sisters loved their master, for, with his help. The snakes became a force to rival their own mother.

All was well up until the Great split. When the trio of serpents gave their life for their master. The old Dark King struck Muzzle and her sisters with a fatal blow. But their sacrifice gave way to the defeat of the Dark Elvan.

On her death bed, Muzzle was said to be greeted by lady Lea herself and given a choice. Lea was impressed by the snake's power and loyalty. The Goddes of chaos gave Muzzle the chance to be a God and serve her forever. Instead, Muzzle decides to give her life for that of her sisters. But it was impossible. The Goddess couldn't bring back two souls for the price of one. So lady Lea tried her best to persuade Muzzle to take the first deal, but she refused. She could not live without her sisters.

So, the Goddess gave up on making Muzzle a God. But she chose to reward her for Muzzle service and made her a guardian to the favorite child of chaos. (A demon.) Lady Lea combined all three souls together. Muzzle, Obra, and Grow became Mog. Three sisters became the Great Hydra.

I listen intently to Titan's tale. It was a far better version than the one Mog told me herself. ( Wow, Mog really watered it down for me.) I thought as I pulled my long trench coat over me like a blanket. Titan had said that all the snakes in the beast forest learn the story of Mog and her sisters. To teach them the importance of family and courage.

(I guess Mog really did care for her sisters back then. What happened then.) I wondered. Mog and Duae weren't that friendly, and I hadn't even seen the other sister. Mog hardly ever spoke of her. That night I thought about my maid. I wished I was back home wrapped in the woman's arms. I thought of nothing but Mog and sisters as I drifted off to sleep.

The following day we were on the move again. We had made it a pretty far distance, and I was sure we'd reach my camp soon. I heard from Frons that the Warr had made it back hours before us but had been resting. Frons promised to stall the tiger as much as she could. I figured Warr would be out for a while, considering she ran the whole way back.

Titan was acting differently after last nights conversation. The serpent treated me with far more respect than he previously did. It felt weird, but I had no choice but to get used to it. Titan was showing no signs of letting up. ( Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut about Mog.) I thought as I rode on Titans large head.

I also hadn't seen the Shadow and her group, but I figured they were still behind us. I was already getting a headache thinking about the new group of recruits. (I got my work cut out for me, huh?) I wonder while leaning back to gaze at the sun in the sky.

"Master, I hate to bother you, but I'm running a little low. I don't think I could go for much longer. Titan announced after we'd been moving non-stop for hours. The beast was almost at his limit after travelling for two days straight. I guess I have been pushing him too hard. I told the beast to stop. I also communicated to Frons to contact me the minute Warr woke up.

It took longer than expected to fill up Titans core again. By the time I was done, the sun was already going down. I also felt highly drained, so I decided to camp again and head out first thing in the morning. I didn't want to push Titan too hard. He had yet to fix his core so, he wasn't in the best shape for this journey.

"She's up, Master! What should I do?" I awoke the next day to a soul message from Frons. I told the spider monkey to stall my prey. Then I woke up the sleeping giant, and we were off again.

OooHH AYE AYe

The sound of the monkeys alerting the other caught my attention. ( We are here.) I thought as I communicated to Frons and Canis. I told them both not to panic. Then I asked Titan for a favor.

"I'm coming for you, tiger!" Titan screamed at the top of his lungs. The serpent played his part perfectly as we burst through the trees. All eyes were on us. Well, Titan, no one could really see me from my position. I could see them through. More importantly, I could see Warr.

"There you are," I said. I grinned so hard I thought my mouth would fall off. Warr's face was priceless. I watched as his eyes threatened to leap out of his head. Her legs shook like a broken sign in a wild storm. The tiger fell to her knees in fear. I could swear I saw tears roll down Warr's face. (I think that should do it.) I thought as I told Titan to let me down.

The moment the massive serpents head hit the ground, all of the beasts around shrieked in delight. They were all relieved to see me. I figured they were just happy to see Titan was on my side. Meaning they were safe.

"All hail Queen Hydra!" Frons roared as she dropped to her knees. She nudged Canis in the Gut and repeated Frons's statement while dropping the ground. Then the whole group followed suit. The beast that couldn't knee lowered their heads. Then Titan himself repeated Frons and bowed his head.

I was in awe as I stared out into the crowd of bow beast. ( I'll never get used to this.) I thought as I admired the sight. I'm pretty sure they Frons had put them up to this. She had been reading many books on royal etiquette, but I didn't think she would go this far. I gestured for them to raise their heads as I walked towards Frons.

The woman had a big smile on her beautiful face. It was the first time I realized how much I missed the spider monkey. Her brown hair looked golden in the light of the sun, and I got lost in her green eyes. I wanted to run and hug the woman tight. But I decided against it. I was ashamed to say that I was falling for the beast. ( Can a woman love another in such a way?) I thought. My feelings for her were strong than mere friendship. But I could let myself get carried away. I didn't express my feelings because I would be taking advantage of Frons. It would be like a noble having relation with a servent. The servent wouldn't say no out of either fear or love for their master.

"How are you alive?" Warr exclaimed before I could reach Frons. I turned to look at the shocked tiger.

"Oh, Hello, kitty." I got a few words for you!" I said with a smirk on my face.
