20 Chapter Twenty: Jamal Frost.

"What was that for?"Alice looked furious at Valentino though she wasn't sure if she was but she knew she needed to be.

"I can't even explain myself" Valentino looked for the right words on how to explain what just happened out there but he just couldn't fix it."Let's just forget this, okay?" He ran out of the room and back to the hall to get himself in any way a bit distracted from the kiss.

Alice was speechless, she didn't know how to react to this" How in the world could someone be so rude to the magnitude that he claims hegemony over his own mistake?" She honestly didn't have a retort to that so she left the room with the query unanswered Hopefully someday those answers will come rushing over to her. She went back to the hall as well only to find her supposed mother-in-law looking for her.

"Alice, where have you been? I have searched the entire place for you. I hope all is well. Or don't you like your party?."Mrs. Annabelle was ready to do everything just for Alice to be happy. So she couldn't stand her out of her sight or be sad in any way.

"No, I'm fine Mom, I had to talk to Valentino about something. We only went to one of the empty rooms around the corner and we came back into the foyer. So it's nothing." Mrs. Annabelle replied to her explanation with a nod.

"Let's go there is someone you must meet before the party ends"Mrs. Annabelle took Alice over to a woman, dressed so classic Tand has this similar resemble to Mrs. Annabelle." So here is Veronica Holder, my elder sister, and Valentino's godmother."Alice bowed in greetings to her.

"Nice to meet you dear, You look so beautiful tonight." Mrs. Veronica complimented her beauty which made Alice blush a bit and that reaction alone made Mrs. Annabelle and her sister burst out into a hearty laughter" Annie she's such a darling".

"Yeah, I know right" Mrs. Annabelle replied, They laughed out loud again and then their discussion went on and on.

Valentino was with a few of his work associates when one of the servants came to inform him that someone asked to see him at the back aisle. He had excused himself from them and walked over to the back aisle. He didn't know who it might be, all he knew was to go see the person who dared to interrupt his party by asking him to come over to the back aisle. Valentino got to the space but no one was there, at first he tried to calm his nerves down and look around more but after a few more searches and nothing was found he became so furious, Just as he turned to go give the servant the best award for having deceived him and brought him out here, someone popped out right behind him.

"Hey, little brother" Valentino froze at the sound of the voice he just had, he didn't want to believe it, he felt like he was hearing things again not until the second greeting came.

"Oh, how I have missed you and am sure you missed your big brother as well right?"It was like a stone of ice was thrown at Valentino which had caused his sudden cold. He shivered like he was sick.

"How come you weren't even straight enough to send your brother an invitation to your second engagement party? Or do you also plan on keeping her a secret from me? Oh no my little brother we already know that you can't keep her a secret from me not forever dude" He sneaked up to Valentino's back and said the last part slightly into his ears before casting out an evil laughter.

Valentino didn't know what to do. He was always a weak guy whenever it came to his brother. His so-called elder brother has this method of shutting him up with his threats and evil way of intimidating him. Jamal was Valentino's biggest enemy and threat since they were kids and it was high time Valentino gathered himself together and faced his elder brother but how was he going to do that when he still feared him like some kind of Creator?

"I will see you around, Little brother just came to remind you not to forget in a hurry about what happened to your last fiance"Jama l laughed out loud as he left Valentino to drown in his thoughts.

Valentino crumbled to the floor immediately after Jamal left the premises. Everything Jamal had said right now made the memories of Valentino's pain come back flowing into his mind like it all happened just yesterday. He couldn't bear the pain. It hurt his head that he collapsed there and then. Luckily for him few girls were wondering about the place and found him passed out on the aisle and called out for the attention of Mr. & Mrs. Frost all along with Alice, his fiance of course. He was rushed over to their family hospital and after a few minutes of standing out at the ward door waiting for a reply from the doctor and finally the doctor came out of the ward then asked them to come see him in his office.

"Before I proceed, who is she please?"The doctor had asked as soon as he settled down on his desk to attend to them while looking solely at Alice because he had never seen her before and her dressing was more likely to be addressed as a passerby who managed to help get Valentino to the hospital.

"She's Valentino's fiance and this was their engagement night."Mrs. Annabelle explained immediately and the doctor nodded before he continued.

"Okay. Mr. & Mrs. Frost, Valentino went through a shock more like a Repression. He was reminded of some painful memories that caused him trauma and thank God he was quickly brought to the hospital because it would have caused him another brain damage if a delay had been made, but his fine now just needs to rest a bit and please once he wakes up make sure not stress his mind on anything concerning the incident." They nodded in agreement and then left to see him. They all entered the room together just then Valentino raised his head to see his mom and dad approaching him.

"Mom?"

"Yes baby am right here, How are you doing?"

"Jamal came to me again."
