1 Chapter One: Everyone Has A Price!.

"Everyone has a price, Miss Greenwood, so name your price?"Valentino busted out quietly, his cold voice made Alice snap out of her thoughts to look into the daring green eyes that sought a quick response from her.

Like who the hell is this guy?

Alice Greenwood had earlier walked into the restaurant with her shoulders straight, chin, and elbows up in an observative mood.

Alice was dressed to kill, with her expensive faux jacket, and the five inches heel she wore, made her stand out from any normal woman in the restaurant. The short sleeveless gown did nothing but highlight how good she would be if she was a model.

The gown was glued to the body like it was made for her. To cut the story short, Alice was beautiful and she knew it and carried herself along with the charisma that came with looking so endearing.

Alice stood tall, as her eyes scanned over the place, glimpsing to where she would find her new client, she got overwhelmed just to figure out that she would do better on her own since her companion was not here yet.

He was running late.

Everyone knew the De Luna restaurant to be one of the most well-known prestigious restaurants, strictly meant for the wealthy only. It was mostly known as a place for blind dates, couples outings, and stuff, which makes their food one of the most adequate delicacies in town.

"Mrs. Greenwood?."A cold voice called from her left side after she was led to a private room by a worker, who probably was informed by her client about her.

Alice couldn't lie, hearing his voice for the first time did something to her, but it was gone immediately as it came as she looked up to meet his eyes.

The moment their eyes met, Alice was starstruck, but she couldn't make a fuse about it. He was one fine man, and he didn't need anyone to tell him that he was good-looking, but she acted as if she wasn't bothered about his looks, after all her work was neutral. She had no right to question their looks, nor any other attributes since this was not stated in the contract.

So, she did what any reasonable person would do, she stood up and stretched forth her hands to accept his hands for a handshake. A smile on her face.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Frost," Alice said, she released her hand from his as soon as possible. She didn't like the zap of electricity that shot through her at the contact with him, although she didn't know if he felt that too. But what help would that provide the both of them?

"It's a pleasure, please sit." Mr. Frost said, before acting like the gentleman he was by pulling out a chair for her, a mumbled thanks from her path was all he got before the waiter came over to their order.

The pregnant silence that followed suit was unnoticed because the both of them were busy checking each other out.

Mr. Frost couldn't keep his eyes away from the alluring beauty in front of him, for a start he wondered what exactly made her do this job, cause her looks are more classic than that of some desperate lady, so the first character noticed "She is not desperate for money" Valentino thought to himself.

While on Alice's part, she didn't know why someone like him would resort to the help of a private escort like her, for a task that he had briefed her about before this meeting was possible.

Mr. Frost needed a wife, a contracted wife to be exact and Alice was a private helper, who did the job of working as a contracted wife, girlfriend of any high classed personnel like him who needed someone to fill the position of a wife.

Alice was Just about to talk when she noticed how silenced Valentino was, and his staring at her like he wanted to eat her alive, which practically made her uncomfortable, and that's not something she needed.

If he needs to make this possible for both of them, his required to make sure that she was comfortable with him. He had to ensure that she trusts him because that's a vital thing in this business.

"So, you deal on contracts with the singles?" He started, earning a smile from her, as she cleaned her mouth with the napkin beside him, before sitting straight to look at him.

"I wouldn't define my work like that, Mr. Frost. I assist anyone who needs help with family and stuff."

"Which is?" He asked, and she didn't know why the self-evaluation he was doing right now bothered her. If he was here to criticize her for her choice of work, then she would kindly leave.

"Being a contracted wife or girlfriend to people like you, the rich. It has come to my notice that people like you find it hard to settle down, and to ease that, that's where my service comes in. You get a wife, girlfriend, associates, anything you can name it as long as I get my pay and you keep to the rules of the contract." Alice simply explained to him, she didn't care if he would understand her work now or if he would like more explanation.

But the point is that as much as he's looking good like she wasn't expecting this type when she had seen his email that they should meet. She had expected an old, pot-bellied man who was looking for an associate for a day.

She has never really gotten a long contract with the men, that came for her assistance. He was the first person that had reached out to her, about something more than what the others wanted.

He wanted a wife.

Awaiting a response she thought would soon come forth but no, guess she was mistaken cause immediately after her descriptions of what her work is all about the table was once more silenced.

Not knowing what to say or think she had to continue with her professional inquiries "With all due respect Mr Frost. I am a busy woman and you keeping quiet doesn't seem to help the both of us if truly you need my assistance." Alice snapped.

She didn't know what his deal was, but what she didn't know was that Valantino was wondering how she was going to keep up with him while she was in his world.

She doesn't know yet, but he's not an easy man. This was nothing like his former associates who would do anything I mean anything to him, apart from just a fling.

This was something different, and he needs everything to be perfect. What he doesn't know was to what extent she was going to go just to fit in.

"Name your price?" His chilly voice came sending goosebumps down her spine, making her a little bit intimidated but it was long gone before she went for her bag and brought out a file and moved it forward to him.

"I have rules that you are to follow and you also need to make sure you do not cross your limit, so all am trying to enunciate is…"She tried to explain, but he cut into her conversation once again.

"If you are worried that am going to do any of what you just listed down here, you should be rest assured. I'm a man of my word, but then you should also be able to assure me that you would keep to my rules too."Mr. Frost said after he glanced through the file.

"Which is?" She asked, trying to steady her shaky voice. God! Why is she behaving this uncoordinated towards him?

She watched the way, the edge of his lips raised, the word." You can't fall in love with me. This would be a contracted marriage for three years, which is way too big. I need all the assurance that within these three years, you would do well to know that everything ends the moment time runs up."

She didn't know why exactly he emphasized much on the' you can't fallin' love with me' thing. But she's sure about herself, he should be the one to assure her that he wouldn't think that anything they are about to do is real.

"Alright. A deal."

"I would have my lawyer fund every expense this would cost, and to remind you, Miss. Greenwood, to the outside world we are a loving couple, especially to my parents. They can't know about this." He warned, to which she smiled.

This is going to be more difficult than she thought, but she was ready to do anything for three million dollars. This is her work, and this is not the first time she has done this.

So, this is going to be easy just like any other time, so looking into his eyes, she stretched forth her hands to him.

"It's nice to meet you, dear husband!"
