Chapter 5

Alex went out today with Anna because she was worried about Alex's mental health. Over the years, Alex had been training relentlessly and didn't have many friends, fearing that he would become an outcast. Anna had made plans with other parents to go on outings occasionally, and this was one of those days. Alex accepted this quietly to not worry Anna, and it was a good thing for him because it worked as a stress buster, giving him some time to spend with Anna.

Upon arriving at the location, Anna and Alex met with the rest of the people who were coming along. After seeing Alex, Mitsuki ran and hugged him while Bakugo gritted his teeth. Alex, caught between the pillows, felt like sleeping in the softness. With a sound of fake coughing, Alex woke up upon seeing Anna's not-so-smiling face. He separated himself from Mitsuki and greeted the rest of the people, including Izuku and his mom.

After greetings, they all entered the amusement park. Bakugo was clamoring to get on rides, while Izuku, as always, followed Bakugo. After riding some rides, they all ate. While Alex was eating, he noticed a kid his age who was carelessly standing on a rollercoaster. Due to a sudden curve, the kid became unstable and was about to drop. Alex suddenly moved and used Gum Gum finger net, catching the kid in his makeshift net.

Seeing this, a woman came running and hugged the saved boy, while everyone surrounding Alex started clapping in admiration. Anna had a smile on her face. The rest of the day was uneventful. In the evening, Alex was in the park looking at the sunset. He was thinking about past events and sighed; the memories were still haunting. He remembered how fragile he was and unable to help anyone or himself.

Alex was glad that he got this chance but was quite afraid that it was just a dream and one day he would wake up. Clenching his fist, Alex was ready to give his fullest, dream or not. He resolved his dream to be free and not leave any regrets. While Alex was standing there, someone with a malicious gaze was watching him from the shadows.

When Alex was returning home, he stepped on an arrow drawn on the road. As he stepped on it, he suddenly moved in the other direction, leading to a shady alleyway. Alex's body was not in his control, and he was following the arrows drawn on the road. After a few seconds, Alex found himself standing in a circle, unable to move, and a man was standing in front of him, smiling widely like a madman.

The man introduced himself as Kyro. Alex was not able to move while Kyro was quite happy because he had been doing this for a while – abducting children with quirks and selling them to an organization overseas conducting some research. Seeing Alex display his quirk in the amusement park, Kyro targeted Alex, thinking that Alex's quirk matched some criteria of the organization, as his quirk was easy to use as a defense in physical fights.

Alex was unaware that his action in the amusement park would result in this. Alex was trying his best to move, but all the struggle was useless because Kyro's quirk affected the will of the person targeted. Alex could feel this because, after reincarnation, his soul was quite sensitive. Still, Alex was trying to move to overcome this desperately. Gritting his teeth, he tried to leave the circle, and his forehead was bursting with veins.

Seeing this, Kyro laughed and hit Alex on the head, repeatedly. Alex was bleeding but still trying hard, and then suddenly, the air seemed to have been stopped. A red spark shined in Alex's eyes, a stronger will than Kyro – the will of a king. But before Alex could be happy, he blacked out.
