They thought their son would be safe there, but it became even closer to danger because of the strange strength and mighty power that attracted even creatures beyond life. What is waiting for Rio? Chapter 1

Lala's Point of View

Everything I saw in my vision—happened. Too vivid; that was why, when the time came for those things to happen, it was like watching a movie for the second time around.

The Celestial God, Neto, made me see all those for me to save his people and humanity twice. He kept me seeing things, not only as a warning but for me to have heads up of events that would make me happy in the end.

He made me see the day I would get married, who the person I would marry, and the exact scenery happening right into my eyes that very moment.

"Time flies, doesn't it?" My moment of reminiscing got interrupted when my Papa suddenly approached me to ask me this question joyfully while we watched my siblings playing not far from where we set up a tent for our weekend picnic.

"Yes, it does, Papa! I still couldn't believe they would grow this fast," I replied.

"Right! And I guess it's time for you and Raven to think about adding another member of your family. The more, the merrier!" My father made me frown. I turned my head to look at him, and he laughed.

How silly! He left after my mother called him.

It became our weekend getaway—slash family bonding since Raven and I decided to settle in the mortal world permanently after we got married because my family was in the same world.

The twin sisters soon would enter college. Sonia, my parents adopted daughter, was in Grade 6, and my brother, Leonardo, about to turn five, will soon enroll in Daycare.

For sure, a Hollywood actor popped into your head after reading his name. Mama has a tremendous crush on him, but Papa doesn't want to believe that they look alike because he thinks he's more handsome than the actor and even gets jealous of him. At first, he didn't agree to name my brother the actor, but Mama told him she would put my brother back in her stomach or give the baby away if he didn't agree to name the baby Leonardo.

Would you bet she couldn't do that? She could if she would.

Our life in the mortal world was far from the life where we came from. The life-risking battles were gone. There were no scary dangers that we would doubt to handle. We only focused on this life, our family, and how we would earn our daily bread.

Rio looks just like his father. So much alike that they looked like a carbon copies of each other. I couldn't believe I had carried him for eight months for him to look like his dad. Even though things they liked and disliked were the same, what I kept noticing since I gave birth to him, was butterflies were so attracted to my son, and Rio had these strange markings right on his back that was so hard to figure out if those were birthmarks or scars.

I kept seeing butterflies inside our house next to him, and just like that day, tons were flying around him. We didn't know why, but we concluded that maybe they liked his smell or it was because his dad came from the clan of Celestials known as nature protectors.

I wasn't bothered because I didn't think it could harm him.

About those markings, we had it checked by the doctors when we noticed it seemed to be growing as time passed by, but we were told that it wasn't anything we needed to be bothered about.

I tried accepting that I was being too paranoid, just like my parents had told me because it was customary for new parents like us. But I was sure I wasn't just being paranoid.

Raven and I knew something special about that mark, so we focused on it closely, especially since it was only the three of us living together.

We moved out from my parent's place after we bought a large piece of land from our savings. Raven decided to take care of floral plants to help our family's business, and because the plants he was taking care of needed a lot of attention, we chose to build a house in the middle of our farm.

Raven was the kind of guy who loved plants more than me. I only love flowers. He planted a lot of white roses around our house for me. I didn't think he was that romantic. He was also very caring, hardworking, and a good father and husband.

To this day, I still feel like a queen. He doesn't even allow me to do all the chores by myself. He was always there to help. The once grumpy guy changed for me. He often smiles these days, unlike before.

I never regret marrying him. Even my mortal friends told me how lucky I was. Well—I know. He never tried giving me a problem. Even though there were so many more beautiful and sexier women, his eyes remained on me.

"Hi, mommy!" Raven approached us. He was carrying our son and playing with his face. He was laughing when he got tickled by Raven's growing mustache.

"My baby boy is tired?" I asked my son when they were already close. I took a dry towel from our bag to wipe the sweat off Rio's face. Once done, I lifted Rio's t-shirt and saw his skin markings again.

I froze when I noticed something was different with it that day.

"Something wrong?" Raven inquired when he saw my sudden reaction.

I motioned him to look at our son's back after I looked around, and just like me, he got stunned by what he saw.

"W-What is that?" he asked, disbelief all over his face.

"F-Fairy dust?" I asked him because I wasn't sure if those shiny fine golden dust were.

I instantly got frightened. Especially when Raven answered, "It seemed so."

"What's wrong with you both? What's with those faces?" Raven and I turned our heads to the one who spoke. It was my mother. She seemed to be laughing at how we looked, but after I told her and showed her the reason, she instantly panicked.

She immediately pulled Rio's T-shirt because there were other people around—mortals, to be exact.

"Hurry! Let's go home now!" she told us in a hurry.

She called everyone and told them to pack all our belongings. Mama told us to take Rio in the car and wait for her.

We brought two cars. My siblings were with Papa, and Mama was with us. She took Rio to me, and they were in the backseat. Everyone was silent. We didn't know what to ask, say, or act. Mama changed Rio's clothes. I was checking them through the rearview mirror.

I could feel the various emotions on our way home. There was confusion, fear, and sort. When we headed to my parent's house, Mama told my siblings to go to their rooms, take a bath, and rest. They were so confused about what was happening, but we couldn't tell them anything because they wouldn't understand it.

My son already fell asleep in his grandmother's arms. Papa was the first to ask why we needed to go home early.

"Because of this," she answered, and she lay Rio on her chest to make Papa see Rio's back.

"What is that?" he asked us, and we couldn't answer, he immediately called somebody on the phone, and later on, our doorbell rang. He left us to open the door, and when he returned, he was with a man at first sight. I knew he came from the same clan as my mom, White Clan.

He examined Rio's body. I was shocked when I saw him use his powers. That made me gaze at my father, who called him. I knew Papa was reading what was inside my head because that was his ability and after, he murmured, "Just for today."

Being Celestial, we're prohibited from using our powers in the mortal world. We promised not to, and my siblings' abilities remained sealed to prevent them from using it. There were consequences if we got caught.

When the doctor left, I didn't know what to say. Silence enveloped the whole house for a few minutes. All of us were deep in thought.

"I'll take Rio to the room," Mama informed us.

Raven noticed how much I was bothered. He approached me, sat next to me and pulled me in for a hug, kissed me on the forehead, and hugged me even tighter afterward.

Even though he didn't say anything, I knew what he meant by those gestures. He wanted me to stop worrying—that everything would be fine.

Mama returned. She said he left Rio inside their room to get proper sleep because my siblings were playing and were too noisy in the other room.

"I don't want to decide for both of you, but from what I can see, Rio will be safer in the Celestial world than here. He'll be in great danger once mortals find out about him," dad suggested, and Mama agreed to
