7 C6- 'Invasion'

Around a year has passed since Marcus summoned his Valkyries.

It was the most amazing year for the teen as he was exposed to Divine-Class Runemancy or more like the Primeval Runes. The Runes which Odin learned from the Yggdrasil.

Those runes were so potent that they baffled the Alchemist. Thrud only showed him two but both of them could bend reality.

Speed Rune which ignores the planet's Gravity, and the Defense Rune which bends reality to tank damage. These were the only two which she showed. But it was enough to know how deadly this array of runes is.

This was enough for him to know the gap between him and Odin.

Though he did show his Gravity Rune which made the Valkyries pretty much go into a frenzy, they never saw anything like this before.

They were even more sure that Marcus was a God.

For the simple reason that he created a Primeval Rune, something even Odin didn't achieve in his lifetime. So, as one could expect, it was a big deal for the maiden warriors.

Apart from that, Marcus finished the Assembly Line and Matter Convertor and some of the interfaces for his PROTO-legio OS.

The amount of Homunculi has increased to 224, the number would increase and fall because of their short working time.

Another thing that he started to work on is the storage of the memory banks for the Homunculi.

According to the trio of Valkyries, the 1.3 version of Homunculi is much more capable. They simply know what to do.

Which leans towards the fact that his memory recycling is working.

Not only that but this allows Marcus to study the evolution of self-awareness.

On a more amusing note, the Alchemist desk mate finally got his magic trigger, he didn't say what it was but the guy in truth has magic circuits. Not many but he does have 4, this was quite curious to Marcus.

As Victor might relate to him, the Alchemist-turned-teen should check his family tree to see if it's true, as his family is the only family in the nation who has such things as Magic circuits…

Well, used to as he has a reactor now instead of magic circuits.

This means that Victor did pass with hair breath to study Alchemy, and only alchemy, with so few circuits he could not cast any sort of magecraft apart from using alchemy.

Alchemy doesn't require affinity or attributes.

To check this further, if Victor is related to him in any way and has talent towards Alchemy he gave him certain objectives to fulfil.

In a way, he is teaching him how Masters used to teach their students back in his previous world.

This of course made the fellow teen extremely excited. Not that Marcus has placed the bar of expectations high.

Instead, he had his hands full with new data he had from the Valkyries.

His formula for pseudo-life on them had a unique reaction. After doing the scans on all three Valkyries he has been working to decipher what he has acquired. If he can work this out he might be able to improve his formula for the rest of his creations.

'Though their luck is bad…'

Marcus thought about it as he recalled their stats…they are not bad.

Thinking about the absurdly low Luck rating the girls have, Marcus could only grimace as he recalled how bad the fates of Norse mythology people were.

From the circle of constant fighting to ending up in madness, many of them end up insane, to know their destiny and that they will die at someone's hands.

'And they say Greek Gods are bad… the ones in Greece are just lustful, in here it's a meat grinder with constant respawn with the next cycle.'

'That reminds me… aren't Greek Gods in this verse Machines? Curious…I do want to dismantle them now…'

~~~~~~Germany, 6 Months Ago~~~~~~
"Hehehehe, he has a Servant!!! Hahaha!" An extremely dirty man with a crazed expression was travelling through the woods. His last experiment in Eastern Europe completely turned him insane. He was beaten by a mere child, who has magecraft related to Gravity and had a Servant to support, such power broke him mentally, and now he was travelling by foot back to his home in England. Completely forgot the concept of planes… not that he had anything with him in the first place to buy a ticket back… After all, he was removed by force from his Workshop where all his funds were being kept.
As the delirious man was walking, three balls of black and red energy slammed into him, knocking him unconscious.
Slowly a man from the side walked out, he was dressed in nobleman's clothes, and black and red lightning had been crackling in one of his arms. It shows that it was he who knocked out this fool.
"Fool, talking about magecraft in the open like this." As he said that he did a motion with his hand, and a circle appeared underneath the knocked-out body. Raising from the ground and floating in the air.
He then motioned to follow him. It appears it is his lucky day. He will take this man's magic crest. After all, a madman doesn't need magecraft.
~~~

A deep frown appeared on his face as he just checked the memories of this crazed magus. It appears the Goldman family still has an iron grip on the Southern Baltic Coast.

Not only that but their magecraft has reacted to the point that they can manipulate gravity, produce extremely poisonous waves and summon Servants… What's even worse than the Servant is in truth a maid. That just shows how much respect a Heroic spirit has for this family.

"How fascinating… I wonder how much money I will get for this information in the clock tower?"

Not only he got the Magus Crest from the fool but he will even profit by selling information about Eastern Europe.

'Truly… They have advanced exponentially over the time they disappeared, it only has been 100 years.'

The Magus still can't believe the Magecraft of this family, aren't they supposed to be alchemists like the Einzberns?

Crazy…he will be staying away from that place!

~~~~~~Back to Today~~~~~~
While the information had some value no one cared much about it. The Clock Tower is more than 3000 kilometres away from where the Goldman family is living. And the tower knows its history with this family. They don't interfere with each other.
However, Summoning Servants outside rituals such as the Grail War is unheard of, hell, it's impressive!
But, the cons of interfering with such a family which has Heroes serving them is something they don't want to risk provoking.
Thus, a neutral stance continued, or… not.
It started when certain someone heard about this, the word 'Servant' piqued his curiosity.
Having such Familiar outside the Grail War which he helped create is simply unheard off. Summoning one is considered a borderline miracle.
This is why he investigated this family, his investigation was not normal by any stretch of the word.
He would gaze into a parallel universe with similar settings.
What he found… was quite interesting.
While he can't see the future of his world he can draw a line of comparison between a parallel world and his, becoming something akin to another form of Clairvoyance.
"How curious… How curious indeed… I need to rile up the Clock Tower… This will be amusing to watch." An old man with rainbow-coloured eyes said with an amused smile.
And so, the Wizard Marshall did something unthinkable, he called the Lord's Meeting. All the leaders of the department gathered, after all The Wizard Marshall himself called them. This was something they couldn't ignore.
"I do appreciate you all gathering here." The Wizard Marshall said with a smile.
"This is unexpected, what do you wish to discuss Lord Zelretch?" One of the Heads of the Department asked respectfully.
"Hmm, there is something that I wish to discuss, you might have heard the rumours about the Goldman family resurfacing." The Second True Magic user said with a thin smile.
"Yes, it is unexpected, though this comes from a single source. We can't just accept it."
"Yes, well, I took the liberty to glance at his potential."
Everyone instantly stilled, they knew what this means, he used Second magic to look at this Goldman.
"We have an incredible opportunity to add him to the Clock Tower, if we don't, he will be seduced over to the Atlas Academy."
The moment the Wizard Marshall said that the heads of departments instantly reacted to that.
All the Lords got quite antsy.
"But how will they get him into their Academy!?" The question was very simple, people from that Academy don't leave the Academy in the first place!
"The current head of the Institute will send his Heir, a girl by the name Sion."
There was an understanding look on all the Lords, this was a scheming move by the Head of the Academy.
"Indeed, so we can do something similar, Marcus Goldman's potential is in the realm of Genius, the boy has 3 Servants under him so far, and no one else in history so far achieved anything like this." Marshall Wizard said with a small grin he can see that his words are working. Soon he will have an amusing show to watch. Almost like a party before the curtains fall for the rest of the world.
"T-Three!?"
"This is—"
"No way… how much mana does he even have!?"
The conversation erupted into an all-out debate.
"Now-Now, relax, I am not even done. As you may know, he is a Genius in Alchemy and Runecraft. From what I saw he would be a huge addition to any Association."
"He would, is there a reason why you are telling this to us?" Lord El-Melloi II, asked with a frown. He is trying to see the angle of the Wizard Marshall.
"There is, He can make Jewelry, Luxury metals at whim."
***Gulp***
A bunch of people from the Department of Mineralogy gulped down from anxiety when they heard that.
"This means… Anyone who gets him on their side…"
Everyone patiently waited as the old man was building the suspension.
"Will have a chance to study Kaleidoscope."
"!!!"
"Lord Wizard Marshall! With all due respect are you serious?"
"Very, the issue with my Magic is that you need extremely high-class jewellery. Something only one in countless generations could produce."
His explanation was more than enough for the Lords. Now they know what has to be done.
"However, I am warning you, if any of you use the wrong type of tactics with this boy he will not hesitate to make you go insane. There is a reason why someone like Atlas Academy is sending a female to get his attention.
The boy is quite conservative with his approach, and ruthless in his execution when it comes to threatening his territory."
After saying his part the Wizard Marshall left his first-ever Lord's meeting.
Once he was gone the whole room erupted into loud debates. It was time for the Lords to decide how they will approach this!
~~~~~~Atlas Mountains, Morocco~~~~~~

"Why do each time I try to check the dates beyond 2012 it always results in the complete collapse of society!?" A girl with purple twin tails said with a frown and an extremely annoyed face.

"Still can't find the source?" A blonde man who looked like he was in his twenties asked with an amused look.

"The source? The source is Eastern Europe, according to TRI-HERMES, something erupts from there which changes the whole society." The girl said with a frown. She wants to understand where this comes from…

"I see… So that's how it is… I might know who could know more." The blonde man said as he put his hand on his chin.

"Oh?"

"Yes, a few hours ago, in Clock Tower, Wizard Marshall himself called forth a meeting, as an ancient Alchemist family has resurfaced."

"The Goldman? But what do they have to do with the collapse of society?" The twin-tailed girl asked with confusion.

"He has three Servants under his control."

"!!!"

"Three… Even having one can be challenging… Do you think he plans something which will erupt into full out of war?" The girl asked curiously now she wants to know more. At least to satiate her curiosity.

"Normally I would not care, but this Alchemist has reached the apex of the art. Something like this would be beneficial for Atlas Academy. I would like you to try to recruit him."

The purple-haired girl's eyes widened, he wanted her to recruit him.

"...B-But father…"

"Now-Now, Sion he is a genius just like you, he is Master of Alchemy, Runecraft, and according to some sources, he can manipulate Gravity. He is perfect for you."

This time the girl slightly blushed, this was the first time…ever… that her father talked about her finding a boy for herself! This was…absurd!

"...I see… I will see what I can do."

"Though… Haste is necessary dear, Clock Tower is scheming as well. But you know for the best don't you? You saw what TRI-HERMES calculated, what Marcus Goldman will do, it will be for the best, for the world as well if you get close to him. Maybe you can change this."

When Sion heard this she recalled what TRI-HERMES calculated.

'Conquering type? But to take the whole world on…'

The girl had a quick calculation in her mind about how much manpower is needed to conquer the planet. One can't simply Conquer a planet alone, no, such a being needs followers a lot of them. And three Servants are not enough to do such a thing.

This means he is building a faction, a faction powerful enough to challenge the entire planet.

"I understand, this means I am allowed to leave Atlas?"

"Indeed, you have my permission."

The Alchemist girl smiled for a bit, it appears this is going to be a trip of a lifetime.

~~~~~~Fuyuki, Japan~~~~~~
*DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG*
*DING DONG*
"Coming!" A female voice said from behind the doors.
*DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG*
*DING DONG*
"I said, I am COMING!"
*DING DONG**DING DONG**DING DONG*
At that moment the doors opened with a massive amount of force.
"I SAID—"
The moment the girl opened the doors and saw who it was, she froze in place and paled, turning white almost ghostly-like!
"L-L-L-Lord Zelretch! M-My deepest apologies! I-I-I"
The Magician casually waved his hand, he did mess with her on purpose, so he forgives her insolence.
"It's alright, how do you do Rin?" The Second True Magic user asked with an amused look, after all, he arrived at her place at six in the morning. The girl looks like she went through a grinder. The old man knows well enough that this girl is not a morning person.
"I-I am fine! What can I do for you?" She asked with a forced smile.
"There is something I wish to talk about with you."
Her eyes for a second widened before she motioned for the Magician to enter.
"Please come in."
"Lord Zelretch, do you want some tea?"
"Yes, it would be great."
A few minutes later the tea was ready and Rin Tohsaka had been waiting patiently, the aged Magic user was enjoying his tea. It took some time but he started to speak.
"Not long ago an Ancient Alchemist family resurfaced in Eastern Europe, the current Leader of this family goes by the name Marcus Goldman, his talent rivals the greatest of geniuses known through history.
Clock Tower and Atlas Academy will be sending their talented females to try to woo him."
Rin's eyes were full of confusion. What is he saying… Does he want her to try to…seduce him!?
"Now the best part is that he has reached the apex of what one can do in Alchemy, I hope you understand what this means?"
"Apex? As in… He can make a Philosopher's stone?"
"Yes, that is included, but what I am saying is he can produce, Luxury metal and jewellery from dirt."
***Gulp***
There was a loud gulp coming from the black-haired girl.
"You understand, don't you? Your family magecraft is Jewelry and he could make your jewellery from dirt one finds in the backyard.
However, the key part is that he will help you summon a superior Servant for the Grail War which is next year."
"NEXT YEAR!?"
The girl jumped out from her seat, and the Wizard Marshall motioned for her to sit down.
She swiftly did it. Returned to her seat.
"Yes, so if you want to win Grail War AND become my student you need to get HIM to be your other half. Because otherwise, you won't have the funds to study Kaleidoscope."
His words were like a thunderbolt in a cloudless sky.
"This… This… Can I know more about him!? I can't just accept this…"
"Sure… Take your time but Atlas Academy is sending the current Heir of the Academy to woo him, same with Clock tower, at least two girls are going there as well.
You don't have much time."
His words made her extremely antsy. Unlimited resources and help for the war, this has pretty much bought her over. She only has base reluctance which is disappearing faster than snow does in a desert.
"Well?"
Zelretch only waited 30 seconds tops, since he knows it's pointless to wait when one already has decided what she wants to do.
"Fine! I will do it!"
"Fantastic! So, I have a few things for you."
As he said that he pulled out two cards from an inner pocket and placed them on the coffee table.
"These are class cards, both of them house pseudo-heroic spirits which are extremely compatible with you."
"!!!"
"Why…do I need these?"
"Your competition is a Genius girl in Alchemy and a powerful Magus, apart from those two pseudo-Servants which you will be able to communicate with will assist you in your lifetime objective."
Hearing this made little bit relieved, however at the same time it put her on edge. It appears her competition is going to be very stiff.
"I see… Is there anything else?"
"Here are your plane tickets and ownership of a flat in Marcus Goldman's hometown. In other words, I am giving you a head start."
Rin's mouth slightly opened when she heard that! Is this Magician giving her a head start!?
"Oh, and your transfer to his school is happening in… I think two days? Yes, you need to hurry, you don't want to miss your first day in school in an Eastern European Country. The first impression is quite important."
It finally came to the girl that she has no time at all! No preparations! No…nothing! And he wants her to woo a guy!? One lifetime genius!? This is…
This is just like she remembers about the Second True Magic user! He makes people squirm under his tutelage!
"...Is this all?"
"Hmm… I think yes, just be careful, he is not some random person you find in a street, he has three Servants, one of them being Divine Spirit, he doesn't as they say 'Mess around' if he finds you as a threat then its game over for you. Believe me, there is a reason why the Clock Tower had a large berth of space with this family."
'Just great… He alone has nearly half of the Servants needed for the Grail war!'
Though at the same time, her greedy side was delighted to know that he is that capable!
"I understand… I Suppose a soft approach is good?"
"You could say that as a token of friendship with your family, I can give some important information."
This has piqued Rin's attention.
"Please do, anything helps!"
For a second the old man smirked.
"He likes those twintails, as far as I know, the Atlas Heiress has those as well, so it's going to be an intense competition for you."
The Tohsaka Heiress's eyes slightly widened, so that's what it is… She can work with that.
It appears her real competition will be this girl from Atlas Academy.
~~~~~~Later~~~~~~

In the Capital's airport, a plane has arrived from London Stansted. A pair of girls passed the border control without much hassle, as they exited the airport they looked around and spotted a limousine waiting for them.

"While we arrived as quickly as we could, do you think that Atlas girl is already in the country?" A white-haired girl asked the girl who arrived with her in this country, there was a small frown on her face. She was feeling quite out of place. This is the first time she is doing anything like this. One could say she is very much out of her depth.

While she was slightly anxious, the girl next to her was quite the opposite, there was a certain confident look on her face.

"Atlas Academy is further away than Clock Tower to this country, even then there are still going to be a few days before we can approach him without being suspicious." The blonde girl said with a small smile, she was confident enough that they were not behind. Even if they are, they are not that far behind.

"Yes, we haven't discussed it yet, but how do you feel about all of this? Doing such a thing?"

It is not unheard of that Females Magus would seduce to get their other half, though such a thing is rare, most of the time it's an arranged marriage with families which have a certain amount of equality in power and wealth to their wealth to make a such arranged marriage, however, this case is not one.

This one is extremely on Marcus' size, the Clock Tower simply wants his talents and his expertise and they are willing to do some crazy things to gain such knowledge.

Especially if they are competing with their rivals from Atlas Academy.

"How do I feel? Slightly widdy I suppose, not every day we have a chance to meet such talent. And if I am lucky enough I might have him as my husband, that would be just great."

The white-haired girl slightly opened her mouth, her orange eyes were in disbelief, such confidence…

"Though… I am slightly nervous, I had the privilege to see who he is and how powerful is his magecraft, all I can say is that we will have stiff competition not only from Atlas but him as well."

The blonde knows that they are breaching his territory, and one single wrong move and they will have to face his Servants or worst case himself who will personally remove them from his lands.

"...Is he at least…handsome?" The White haired girl asked with some hope if she is to marry someone at least make it pleasant to look at!

"...Oh, don't worry about that, he is robust, with extremely potent mana, and quite handsome, in my biassed opinion." The blonde quite casually waved her hand, by this point her view is already warped, she needs him and that's it.

"I see…then this is quite good."

"It is, now let's go, we need to set a few things in motion."

~~~~~~With Marcus~~~~~~
As the Grand Alchemist was sleeping in his bed he was closely hugging his favourite hug pillow with the name Artoria, the Fae's natural aura made him feel at ease and relax the most.
Especially if the Fae in question is hugging him back and snuggling like a cute pet.
Then, Marcus felt a chill pass through his spine, a vision invaded his mind, and he saw a car entering his town from the southern part. Inside this car, he saw a girl with purple twin tails.
He could sense mana from her, the thing was even the girl realised that someone was watching her as she got uneasy as well.
Then this vision ended and Marcus' eyes snapped open. He had a contemplating look.
Slowly he got up from the bed as Artoria's green eyes opened as well, she saw the very same thing. Moments later all of his Servants manifested around his bed.
His Valkyries and his maid were waiting for him. Though the Alter maid had a slightly jealous look on her face. Even after two years of being summoned, the Master is not using her as a hug pillow! This is absurd!
"It appears we have a visitor."
"What are your orders, Master?" Thrud asked him, the blonde Valkyrie who treats him like a Heroic God…because her sense is telling her that he is more than qualified to enter Valhalla.
She even told him several times, truthfully she is waiting for him to die… So that she could do her duty as a Valkyrie… Not that will happen any time soon… the blonde sensed that his soul is quite old, almost as old as some of the Valkyries…
Not that time has any sort of meaning…Everything has its place and time. For now, she is his loyal Servant who will follow his orders to the latter.
"Ortlinde."
"Yes?"
"I want you to follow and observe, only interfere if she is attacking anyone physically. Her mana reading is similar to a bloodsucker. So it should be only a matter of time, however, don't do anything if she is using hypnosis or some other form of manipulation. I want to see what her purpose is here." As Marcus said that he paced back and forth, there was a thoughtful look on his face. He didn't even register that his Servants are observing him from top to bottom since he is sleeping shirtless.
'Where did I see her before… It has been so long since I played anything Fate related… Not that I can refresh my memory…' Internally the Alchemist-turned-teen could only accept the fact that he doesn't have much of an idea who this female is.
"U-Understood, I will be leaving now!" The black-haired Valkyrie swiftly left his room in spirit form.
"Yes, well, since my sleeping has been disrupted like this I suppose I will start with my morning rituals." He said that while slightly grimacing, the Alchemist noticed the time… It was just past 6 in the morning… He usually wakes up at 7… As school starts at 8…
His words didn't make the Fae happy! She wanted to snuggle more! This is not fair! For a moment she thought to cast some spells on this intruder! How dare she! Doesn't this girl know how rarely they sleep like this?
~~~

After all the morning rituals, Marcus was walking towards school, there was a certain thoughtful look on his face as he was thinking about this intruder.

This purple-haired girl…she is nice…looking… and there was that certain aura around her…

She was an intellectual. The Grand Alchemist has not seen such a person for a very long time.

Though…her looks…will not stop Marcus from questioning her, or in the worst case removing her from his territory, nope! He will find out what she is doing in his serene town!

For a second the Alchemist shook his head as he remembered those twin tails!

"Master, the female which I am watching over has entered a building." Ortlinde's voice brought him back from his thoughts as the Valkyrie sent an image to him via her connection. His Lancer doesn't mind sharing her vision with him.

What he saw was her entering a building owned by a company that deals with housing…

"So, she is buying a property." Marcus realised that this girl will be staying in this place…

"How should we proceed with this?" The Fae Caster asked with an annoyed tone, she doesn't like this girl, her first impression of her is that of annoyance.

"Nothing, we will watch… From the looks of it, she knows that we are watching her. Her senses picked us up. This shows competence." The Alchemist-turned-teen commented how this purple haired twin tails girl from time to time looks around. As if looking for someone.

"I understand… I will continue my watch"

After saying that Marcus continued to walk toward his school.

He was believing it will be a completely normal day in his school life, he likes it quite a bit, spending time drawing the Iron Wolf MK I redux model, his iron man lookalike suit, then his Iron Legion, the foot soldiers of his faction. Followed by a selection of weapons he even re-drew his gravity superweapon the 'Gravitus Fluctus' which ended World War 3.

In other words, he is using this time for something productive…

"Psst! Mark! Hey! Did you hear? Our class has a transfer student!" Victor got his deskmate's attention. The fellow teen already knows that the stuff he is drawing is not some random doodling, honestly, he is impressed by what he is drawing. It almost looks like a Futuristic-Medieval mashup RPG game of some sort.

"Hmm? What about it?" Marcus asked as he was starting another drawing.

"It's a girl from Japan! Japan! Can you believe that!"

The moment Victor said Japan, Marcus' pen slightly went out of control.

He had a confused look on his face! His logical and reasonable mind tried to process this information.

What someone is doing here…From Japan!?

As the alchemist processed that the doors opened up and the vice principal, a lady in her 40's brought in a black-haired girl with twin tails! She was dressed in a nice red skirt dress.

However, Marcus' brain just stopped, as he recognized who this was!

~~~~~~Inside Marcus' Consciousness~~~~~~
In the planes of Marcus' subconsciousness two massive armies were facing each other, one side dressed in pure white and sky blue. The army of reason and logic!
This force is an enormous combination of armour-like suit-dressed men with futuristic anti-gravity rifles, their support is hoover tanks with multiple barrels, and massive Spider Walkers with railguns.
This army looked like it represented justice itself!
While the opposite army was dressed in black and red, this was instinct and lust! Their units had similar levels of technology, only more sharper and deadly looking, instead of Spider walkers and hoover tanks they had mechs and advanced helicopters.
"How could you do this? We have been allies for hundreds of years!
We conquered space and time! We overcame biological limitations!
And now this rebellion is happening because you saw twin tails and nice legs!?"
The leader of the White and Blue army roared with a furious and just voice!
However, before the black army could answer, the Earth itself shook! It cracked open like an egg and a massive mecha started to rise from the ground.
It has completely and utterly destroyed both armies with such an appearance, it was a massive thing, extremely advanced and beyond what those two armies could produce!
[Rin detected, proceeding with the acquisition!]
~~~~~~Back to the Class~~~~~~

"Hello everyone, my name is Rin Tohsaka! I hope you treat me nicely." She introduced herself with a bright smile.

The class slightly erupted into a small conversation but it was much more controlled than Rin had expected! Hell, she is quite shocked internally! How down to Earth this place was!

"Rin, please take your seat in front of Marcus."

The Homeroom teacher pointed at the empty seat in front of Marcus, the girl's eyes gleamed with happiness when the teacher said that, she nodded at the teacher and walked over to her new seat.

Before she sat down she had a good look at Marcus! She finally saw him! The guy which she travelled halfway across the world to meet! And woe!

After looking at him she sat down, and a few moments later the class proceeded as if nothing had happened.

This is what Rin started to like, the teacher doesn't make a big deal about her transfer.

As the class continued the Tohsaka Heiress tried to listen in to whatever the guys behind her were talking about.

Thankfully she learned the language swiftly with magecraft, while it hurt her head for a bit she had enough time on the plane to rest.

'Though…cramping multiple books on relationships still makes me slightly dizzy…'

Rin sighed for a bit as she didn't care much about what the teacher was telling, the black-haired girl was much more interested in what the pair were talking about.

Though…the way they were talking was a little bit confusing…

'What is this IT, they are talking about? And apparently, Marcus is great at drawing.'

Though as the class continued Rin finally connected the dots! They were talking about Alchemy!

A shiver slightly passed through her back, is he teaching this guy Alchemy!?

The Tohsaka Heiress knows from her studies that Alchemy doesn't need much talent in actual Magecraft. Just a little bit of mana is enough to start learning such art.

However, on the downside, it can be much more dangerous AND the difficulty of learning is much higher than in other arts.

Eventually, the bell rang and the class was over, Rin at that moment put on a friendly smile on her face and slowly turned around.

"Marcus right? I am Rin, Rin Tohsaka, can you show me around the school?"

At that moment, the whole class stood still.

"DAMN YOU MARCUS GOLDMAN!"

Some of the guys exclaimed loudly, here it is again! This guy! He already made this new girl attracted to him! Just.like.that!

Not just that but half of the females frowned when they saw this.

However, Marcus' reaction was something no one predicted! He smirked for a bit.

"Sure thing Rin. Though we only have 10 minutes, the first break is quite short."

The black-haired girl slightly blushed from embarrassment when he called her by her first name. She is still having issues getting this part over with! Everyone here communicates on a first-name basis! This is just strange for her!

"That's fine, you can show me this floor then." The girl said that with a slight smile.

"That's fine I suppose."

Marcus swiftly stuffed his extra stuff into his backpack before zipping it up, he even instructed Thrud to watch it over.

His notebook after all has schematics for a super weapon that can shoot gravity waves!

So after that was done he left his seat and went out with Rin.

Though everyone noticed how… Different was Marcus!

"So he is into exotic girls, I see… so you girls never had a chance, to begin with," Paul said with a smirk.

That moment…

*SLAP*

One of the girls slapped him with a furious look. They don't like being told such things directly into their faces!

~~~
'So my Master likes these types of girls…curious…' The Fae Caster was in her spirit form and hovering around Rin and looking at her from all sorts of angles.
She noticed this girl's hairstyle and how she is behaving and holding herself.
"The educational system here is that the students are going to the classrooms. For the current class, we will be staying there for another period before we are moving out to another class.
All the lessons are 45 minutes with breaks being from 10 minutes to half an hour. The half an hour long one is considered the lunch break."
As Marcus was explaining Rin was observing him closely, one thing she noticed… was his self-confidence… It was absurd…
It's like he ironed out his character since he was just a boy, and then just continued to build up from it.
The only people she saw with such character are her father, whom she remembers as her role model. By this point her memory of him is more idolization than anything else, and that Fake Priest…
This is something she doesn't want to admit. But that priest knows what he is doing.
And now another person who joins these ranks is this guy…
'Well, it was THE Kaleidoscope which made me move here… So he knows what he is doing.'
Truthfully Rin here is taking the long route to get to Marcus, as nothing else will work, according to the books she read.
The books did say that someone who is this closed up, can easily lash out against anyone who is making rapid advancements.
Something akin to a dangerous wild predator, if she wants to get him, she needs to take the long route. Make him warm up and only then proceed to remove those massive walls he has around him.
Yep, this is why Rin is planning out a few things in their mind, the key is to get to his parents, and make them like her, and as a role model student, she can easily do that.
"I see…It's quite different from my previous school. When does the last class end and are there any club activities?" Rin is trying to figure out if he has any sort of club activities. Which she could join.
"Hmm, the last class ends just past 14:35, and the club activities? I think they have some sports ones, I don't know about any other ones."
Her eyes slightly bulged out when she heard how early they finished school! This is incredible! She could have transferred here long ago! The amount of time she could have to do her magic research!
"That's so early! In Japan, you could not leave even before 17:00!" Rin exclaimed, there was a slight disappointment in her eyes as she realised that Marcus does not attend any sort of club.
Most likely has no time for such things as he is researching magic, something she likes! But at the same time, she is disappointed for obvious reasons that she can't have his time at this specific time!
"Now that's just crazy, what do you even do in school for that long?" Marcus said with a baffled tone, he can't grasp such a waste of time.
"Studying, what else?"
"Doodling, I am pretty sure one's head overheats after listening to this droning."
While he likes his free time, which is the school to him, he could not take it all the way past afternoon, nearly to evening! That's just mad.
"I wish, though I do like this much time this school gives."
***Bell Ring***
"Well, the break is over."
Weirdly enough…they didn't explore anything, nope Rin simply asked her question and he answered, then talked a little bit…
He didn't even show me other classrooms.
"Yes, well let's return to the classroom."
~~~~~~On Other Side of the Town~~~~~~

Sion could feel a set of eyes on her, and while she doesn't know the exact location of who is watching her, what she does know is that this being is quite good at this.

'Most likely a Servant.'

She feels slightly honoured that a Servant is sent right after her the moment she arrived at this town.

Her first reaction to this town is a little bit too much… yes, she sensed an enormous several kilometres big Boundary Field surrounding the whole Town.

Marcus Goldman is not messing around, he wants this place as peaceful as possible, and she knows that she is an anomaly to his little peace.

Apart from the elephant in the room, the Town itself feels quite homely, the land is not that expensive, and she already bought herself a recently built house with quite a big back garden, right next to a forest.

From her understanding of the geography of this place, she is around 30 minutes walk from Marcus' place.

Now with the house secured Sion can start hatching her plan to get the Alchemist to join Atlas.

'Hmm… Now how should I do this?'

The first idea is to attend the same school, this will allow her several hours to be with him, not only that she will have an excuse to approach him and befriend him.

'...Oh man… alchemy and research are so much easier than this! I wonder if my father did this on purpose, a trial for me perhaps?'

The purple head had a tired look for a bit before massaging her forehead. The girl checked out the notes she took while on her way to this country.

All her ideas so far are half-baked, this is not her area of expertise.

'Yes… I suppose I should join his school first before I do anything else. I do need some data to work with.'

Realising what is the next objective she smiled for a bit. She has something to work with!

~~~~~~After Class, With Marcus~~~~~~
Marcus was feeling quite strange with Rin Tohsaka herself in his class.
It's even less strange to have a pair of Saber-faces than having Rin around.
Maybe that's him getting used to his cuddly Fae and cute Maid…
Well, anyway for one his mind now is a mess.
However, he was able to think that Rin is here because of him. And because he defeats that fool and him revealing his Servant.
Now she wants his help… After some thinking, he realised that he is closely approaching the fateful day of the Grail War.
'Was it 2005 or 2006? Wells doesn't matter, the point is that she is here…
Wait…isn't her magic/magecraft based on Jewellery? Riiightt…'
He realised that he can be her piggy bank on that as well… He can give her a house-size diamond if she wants… Hell, it's as easy as breathing to him by this point…
However, he wants to see what her game is, what is she planning and how is she planning to approach him as Mage/Magus…
As Marcus was thinking about all this stuff his eyes went to the side. He could see Rin listening to the teacher, it was the last period and it was History, he can guess this stuff is quite foreign to her as now she is learning European History instead of Japanese as she did before in her school.
However soon enough the teacher stopped her talking as she finished the content before the bell rang.
This is why Marcus likes this teacher, she doesn't mince words and simply does her thing, and now they have around 3 minutes before the bell rings.
After putting everything away the Alchemist leaned back and started to think about his plans for today while Rin has thrown an Oak log into his thinking machine, but it doesn't mean he can overcome it.
He forgot about her for a bit and started to think about the Iron Wolf I redux version. The redux is reimagining his first-ever Iron Wolf suit, the thing is he already knows how to build them, but he needs to build a base version on which he starts to expand and alter to fit other needs.
"Marcus? Can I ask for your help?"
That moment he got back out from his thinking when he noticed that everyone was leaving and Rin was standing in front of him, it was hard not to notice her when she was dressed in red clothes.
"Yes? What is it?"
"As you already know, I just moved in and…well…my fridge is empty, so I need to do some shopping… So…well, can you help with that? As a reward, I will cook something for you."
At that moment Marcus had a flashback of when he was shopping with his mother and he had to carry a bunch of shopping bags.
'How on Earth do I recall something which happened more than 300 freaking years ago? That's some heavy traumatic stuff right there!' The Alchemist slightly freaked out from this!
However, he overcame that stuff when he realised the award! dinner will be done by Rin!
"...Sure…not that I have anything else to do…" He said that while shelving away some of the stuff he will do today.
"Master…"
"Master…"
"Master…"
That moment he heard three specific voices in his mind… His Caster, Thrud, and Hildr spoke in a slightly panicky tone.
"It's fine, don't worry."
"That's great! Let's go then!"
Rin said with some enthusiasm in her voice. This is great! Internally she fist-bumped herself! This was critical for her!
After she was building her friendship over the break periods. The girl believes that she left some sort of impression on him!
Sure enough, the pair started to walk toward where their jackets and coats are.
While Victor who was still in the class looked at this with a slight frown. He had this distinct feeling that this girl was sent here with some sort of purpose… The biggest proof is that she arrived from a place halfway across the world!
~~~

"Hmm… So where are we going?" Marcus asked her as they were dressed in winter coats, it was after all late January and there was snow everywhere.

"About that… I have no idea!" She said that with an embarrassed tone.

"I was hoping you could be my guide in this place."

For a second he sighed and thought about this.

"In that case, where is your place?" The moment he asked Rin simply pointed at 9 floors flat in the distance.

"I see… That's quite close, now I am feeling slightly jealous." Marcus was a little bit impressed with such a commute… he remembered more about his teenage years, there was one guy who lived on the opposite side of his elementary school… Such distance… He would leave his house 10 minutes before the classes would start!

Imagine that… Sleeping till before the first bells ring…simply marvellous…

No amount of alchemy can fix that…

'Unless I start figuring out how Space works…'

"I know right? At my Hometown, while walking distance to school, I would still need 20 minutes to walk!" Rin honestly was impressed with her flat, however, the downside is…she has no workshop! Not that she can show that she can use mana anytime soon…

The girl noticed the enormous boundary field surrounding this town. Marcus Goldman is not messing around with his security.

Not only that but she can feel that someone is watching her every move.

She can bet her whole stash of gems that it's Marcus Servants watching her closely.

"Hmm, sounds about right, my house is 20 minutes away. If I walk fast it will be around 15," Marcus said while recalling his journeys. As someone who lives on the clock, he knows his times.

She nodded at him before waiting for him not to talk about the shopping.

"Anyway, since you live over there, the Supermarket is right…there…" The moment he said that he internally groaned…

If his Servants could see his expression they would get panicky… That's his Mother's Supermarket after all…

"That's so close! I was wondering what this building was!" Rin exclaimed a little bit, this was so close! It's just a few minutes walk from her new flat!

"It is… Now, why don't we go there."

"Sure!"

As they were walking there internally Marcus was preying on all the cosmic entities to let his mother be on break! And on the phone with his Father!

Their walk was quite short, Rin asked a few things about what he likes to eat, as she is building a profile on him. Though, she was impressed that he is cooking as well. This makes her both happy and slightly annoyed that she can't use the most traditional sense to get close to him.

However, she has another card that she can use, and that is oriental food.

Though…from the books she read about, she needs to be careful with that, as people's tastes are different… that's why she used the excuse of cooking to find out if he likes spicy or mild stuff, bitter or sugary.

Sure enough, he easily answered her, the twin tail girl is going to use that in the future after all!

Eventually, the pair entered through the automatic doors of the supermarket. After taking the trolley they went shopping.

The girl is still having a few issues with the currency, only a day before she used Yen, and now it's Euros, and it is still hard to grasp how little everything costs and how little money she has as well… It's just strange…

"...Why does rice cost so much!?" The girl exclaimed as she saw the price, she did some mental maths before she said that! Marcus with some amusement is allowing her to do these little things, truthfully it looks just cute how she frowns each time she sees the price then for a few moments she has a thoughtful look and only then she says what she was thinking.

"That's because we import it, not grow it up here, the climate here just doesn't fit that well with rice." He explained with a shrug.

"Oh…I see…" It took a few moments, but anyway she took a few packages of it.

They continued to walk around, passing the pastry section, there were double doors from the storage area. Which opened and his mother walked out. As a supervisor, her job can be quite random, like, if someone is sick she would cover that area.

So Marcus just hoped that she would be having her break, as she could be anywhere in the store…

"Mark?"

The Alchemist-turned-teen for a second grimaced internally. He was caught red-handed! In a shop of all places! It has been centuries since the last time he was in something like the shop! Over the years since his rebirth, he would always skip it or dodge it… Or walk around such a thing… Hell, he would just transmute products his mother would ask to bring from the shop and would spend those minutes in his workshop!

So, the moment he enters a supermarket, it has to be the shop where his mother works AND he is with a girl! The reaction to this!?

"...Mom?"

His mother looked at him, then at the girl, back to him, then at the girl!

"Oh my!"

"This is Rin, she just transferred into—" His mother skipped him and got in front of Rin.

'Only you, mom, have the balls to do that…' Marcus internally said that to himself, he didn't even feel offended or annoyed by it, he simply can't… It's just how it is… Like the sun rises in the East and gets down in the West. His mother has the power to ignore her son when she needs to…

Though…for Rin… She felt like someone delivered a hard punch into her gut! His mother works here!? What the hell! She ain't ready yet!

"H-Hello!" The black haired twin tails girls greeted with a stuttering voice.

"So nice to meet a girl who can make my son do things! This is just amazing! You know he is so obsessed with his cars that I started to lose hope!"

'You are not wrong there, you did once lose all hope, so did I with the whole planet that is…' Marcus recalled certain parts of his previous life…

While Rin immediately snapped out from this surprise attack and stored this new information in her mind! So that's how it is!

Marcus is using his obsession with cars as cover to practise Magecraft in secret! Crafty! Does this mean his parents don't know anything about it?

Did he discover his family's past in some sort of journal!?

All these thoughts and ideas rose in her mind, but for now, she needed to shelve them!

"Yes, well, I needed some help and he was the first one I talked to in the class," Rin spoke with a friendly smile. Yep, she is doing her best with this! This is super important!

"Oh! Such a gentleman!"

Hearing how he was being called gentlemen makes him quite uncomfortable, so instead, he remembered how he sunk over 150 frigates and 8 fighter carriers in World War 3… it helps to get past it…

"Yes! He helped me to show me around the school during break times!"

Marcus' mother smiled for a bit when she heard that, she then looked at her son who found out that pastries are more interesting than their conversation.

"Hmm, how very curious, it appears my son has an interest in you. This is very rare."

Rin's eyes for a second gleamed with happiness, it appears her luck is quite high this time! However, she is not planning to waste it! Nope! She is going to strike while the iron is hot!

"I see~~~ happy to hear that!"

Marcus' mother smirked hearing that, she already is happy to see how the girl is enthusiastic about this, she will take her time to grill any info she can from her son when she is back at home. For now… She will let them have fun.

"Good, you two can go, I have some things to do." After saying that she bit them goodbye and pulled out her phone… already calling Marcus' father…

While the Alchemist in question saw through her actions… He could only grimace with the upcoming talk/talks…

After being found out by his mother, the teen continues to be a guide/ shop assistant for Rin who was slightly struggling with the products, she has no idea about any of the companies which make any of them, and Marcus… well he is not a shopping guy, so he is telling things which his family gets.

So, after some struggles, the pair were done with shopping, and Rin led him to her flat.

He didn't end up carrying all of the products, nope the Twin tails girl was smart enough not to do that. Instead, she carried two bags as well.

Once they were in her two-room flat which Is not bad, plus the view from the seventh floor was quite impressive, for Marcus that is, he always liked the forest which his school is built next to. And he can see from this place quite nicely.

"Do you have anything in mind for dinner?" Rin asked him, her voice bringing him back from his gazing.

He turned around and saw her in an apron.

'Not bad… Not bad at all!'
