24 24. Spend time

Diana came over in the evening as she knocked the door of the house. It's been a while since she went away from the island and she was curious about the outside world.

'Another chance'. Alex thought as he opened the door with a welcoming smile on his face.

"Sis, come on in". He made a exaggerated welcoming gesture as he bent over and presented his two to welcome her.

Diana laughed at his silly display and shook her but she didn't stop her steps and stepped into the small house.

"Hmm, something smells delicious". Diana said as her keen nose picked up a good roasting smell.

"Oh that's a boar I caught while hunting. There was nothing except spices here. So I needed something". Alex explained as he walked over to the small kitchen.

"That's impressive. The beasts here aren't as fragile as the ones outside". Diana nodded her head as she sized Alex up a little.

"It's nothing, I already told you that I am stronger since I was a child". Alex patted his big bicep as he looked at her.

"Can you give sister some too?" Diana asked with a smile. She felt intoxicated from the pleasant smell in the air.

"Sure". Alex said as he took down the boar and cut it down to sizeable pieces.

The entire boar was sizzling and the butter and juices were sizzling out of the boar with a heavenly smell.

Diana was about to drool from the smell. This will be the first time that she was about to lose control just from the smell of food.

'Hehe, first step to victory is the stomach'. Alex laughed in his mind as he served the boar to her.

Both of them sat on the table as they voraciously dug into the meat without a second wasted. They were done after an hour when the whole boar was gone.

"So tell me, what have you been doing in the outside world?" Diana asked familiarly. She was particularly intrigues with the outside as she hasn't left for a while.

"I come from a very rich family and have a four lovely Girlfriends that know each other and love me as well. I also love them a lot.

I just came out on an adventure with a crew some days ago and was enjoying my time on the sea. Suddenly, a giant creature hit the yacht and practically broke it down to pieces". Alex said the first part with love in his eyes but then he turned a bit sad when he mentioned the yacht.

'Aah, my collection of movies and Anime'. He thought as he lamented in his mind. His sadness was genuine this time.

"Don't worry, we'll help you get back". Diana said as she patted his back but she felt a little disappointed in her heart for some reason.

"Diana, you are so good to me". Alex sighed as he said her name directly.

Diana was about to say something but just let it go as she felt that he was sad. So she didn't correct him for now.

"So, how long will it take to arrange the challenge". Alex asked as he flipped his mood like a coin.

"It should take about two to three days". Diana answered thoughtfully.

"Alright, be prepared to lose". Alex said as arrogantly as pushed his head up.

"Heh, we'll see". Diana also acted along as she said arrogantly.

They then spent a lot of time together as they talked about all sorts of things rom Life on the island to the outside world.

"Don't you get bored on this island with nothing to do and no entertainment?" Alex asked as he was feeling bored himself here.

"Not really, we are used to this peace". Diana answered as she smiled softly.

"But I am bored. You need to help entertain me". Alex acted spoilt as he said while looking at her.

"Hmm, let's go sit at the beach. The night view is amazing this time". Diana said as she got up to leave.

Alex nodded his head as he followed behind her and walked towards the beach. On the way, they walked side by side as their arms would sometimes touch each other.

Slowly, Alex pressed towards Diana a little and caught her hand as he used Hamon to make the grip feel good to her.

Diana noticed Alex's grasp and looked over and saw him walking with a straight face. She shrugged her shoulders and let it he as it was feeling quite good to hold Alex's hand.

They walked over to the beach in a comfortable silence and sat down on the cold sand. It was night time and the sand had grown cold by now.

The looked over to the stars as Alex slowly massaged Diana's hand in his with Hamon, making her feel quite pleasant.

"Its quite lonely here". Alex said with a faraway look as he gazed at the stars. Although, he didn't express it but he missing the girls, Bruce and his parents right now when he finally sat down in peace.

Life in Gotham was hectic. He would go to the company, school and meet up with the girls. At night, he would go on patrols to forget the loneliness.

The girls' company was nice and he never felt the lack of Thomas and Martha much in his life. It also helped that Alfred was there.

He couldn't even look inside Avalon to check up on Thomas and Martha and maybe even gaze at their bodies to just fill that void in his heart.

Diana saw Alex's sad and faraway look as she just hugged his shoulder with her arms and bought him closer to herself.

Alex also didn't say anything and let it be. He wasn't even planning anything at this moment and it was all his true emotions.

'As they say: strike when the iron is hot'. Alex thought lecherously as he wiped away the thoughts in his mind.

"Sis". Alex asked.

"Hmm". Diana hummed in acknowledgement.

"Can you sleep with me tonight. I feel a bit lonely. You are the only one I know here". Alex made the most pitiful face that he ever could. Coupled with his handsome looks, it worked wonders.

Diana hesitated as she was about to refuse but then she saw his sad face. 'He is also just lonely'. She thought.

"Alright". She smiled and agreed.

"Yay". Alex was truly happy from her words and he jumped high up.
