6 6. Big battle.

The fight and harassment in the forest are continued without stopping. The kill count of Eskaliso and casualties of his team also steadily increased. At this time there are only eighteen people left.

They are currently observing the small castle from afar. This manor is just a little bigger square stone house with a tall stone wall. And there is a village composed of ten to twenty houses located not far away. From what he had heard, this is the house of one of the Stormwind noble. Although this noble family is just a small noble and normally lives in Stormwind City they are still having a resident in their ruling area.

"Are we sure we are going to that village, hadn't you seen that this village is already abandoned? Even the wall's gate is being breached. It's clearly being attacked and no one is here anymore. Why do we have to go in?" He asks nervously.

After knowing this group of soldiers, his priority is to change from killing orcs to keeping them alive as much as possible. This makes him want to avoid the major fighting with the orcs. Although the owner of that castle is a small noble but noble is noble anyway. They have their personal garrison, a high wall, and help from peasants in the village. The fact that this place is destroyed means the orc has a larger number than in the previous fight, which wasn't a good thing at all.

"We need to go, there may be people living in that castle, and if not, we have to make sure nothing dangerous remains in there."

Captain's word makes Eskalios' mouth twitch. He didn't know if he is thinking too much or if this guy really speak like some mission description in campaign mode. But after listening to it he also knows that he cannot change the footman's mind and can only go with them.

They look around to make sure that there is no movement in the village before moving in, but just as they step into the village, everything change.

Everyone heard the wolf howling from the edge of the forest and when everyone looked back, they saw several orc raiders riding on giant wolves charging at them. And Eskalios also saw that these groups of Raiders are following with more than ten Grunts, and the number is still increasing.

"This is a trap! Everyone gets into the castle!" At a glance, the captain also knew what they got themselves into and commanded with an ugly face. They may be another enemy waiting in the castle but if they are fighting here, they won't have any chance to survive.

Everyone also understands this fact and runs into the castle as fast as possible. They can fight with the Tribe in the open area if they have a number advantage, but from what they saw the orcs have at least forty people which is more than twice their number. If they fight here even Eskalios would be dead without a doubt.

"Damn! We were facing at most ten orcs in one fight! How come there are this many this time?" Eskalios think while running along with the others.

This can be said that they are having bad luck this time. The groups that they are previously fighting are just orcs that send out to harass or lost from the main battlefield, but the group that they are fighting is a team that Guldan send out to capture Stormwind civilians and clean up the opposing forces in Duskwood. It can be said to be the strongest fighting power amongst the group of orcs in Duskwood and could raze the fortified settlement with ease.

The position they currently are in is just about fifty meters from the castle gate, they can rush there within a few seconds but a normal human with full plate armor cannot be faster than a giant wolf of Raiders. The Raiders are catching up with them when the group of footmen is around twenty meters from the castle gate.

"Watch out!" Eskalios shouted, swiping his hand, sending a set of swords to the raider that was right behind one of the soldiers. The sword pierced through the wolf which make it let out a short whining cry before slumping on the ground with its master.

With the help of white hair boy, everyone could safely come to the castle. The good news is there doesn't have an ambush waiting for them and the castle gate is open so they can get in with ease. And the bad news is the gate won't help much because this place has been breached before, and it is likely done by this group of orcs.

"Gather everything that heavy and big, anything! Use them to barricade the door. Hurry up!" The captain's command then spoke to Eskalios. "Sir Eskalios, until the barricade is finished, please help us guard the main gate against the orc."

"No problem, but don't you need someone to position on the wall?"

His question makes the captain stunned before inexplicably asks. "Why? We didn't have any projectile weapon"

Hearing this, He was dumbfounded, and realize how stupid his question sounds.

Weapon and army are one of the unscientific parts of Azeroth. Normally, metal and steel are precious things in these days and ages, and most of the equipment will use the least iron as possible. They will use things like spears and hide armor or garment. The army that even normal footmen are composed with full plate armor and swords like this doesn't have before in the history.

And projectile weapons are also another topic. He guesses that flintlock may be too luxurious to equip in the regular army, but what about the bow or crossbow! Why didn't anyone use them?!

The mission that Eskalios did is infiltrate beyond the enemy line like a special force, or to be less professional is raiding a dungeon.

A team like this should have several professionals for flexibility and be able to fight in any situation. The fact that a whole team is all with only footmen with sword and shield look like something very stupid to him. Even he will not spam unit like this while playing WarcraftIII.

He really wants to complain about this but it's not the time he shouts for four footmen to follow him before heading to the main gate. Although half of the thick heavy wooden door was already broken, scorching, into pieces, the stone wall that was too tall for the orcs to jump is funneling them to attack only from the front. And He's sure that he can still keep up if he knows which way the enemy will come from.

White hair teen looking at the green skins that rushing over before starting attacking the Raiders that have higher speed so they slump on the ground with their mount. However, the orc's vitality is there, although they are stabbing one blade each, the orcs still get up in the next moment before running on their feet like the remaining Grunts.

"This is like some shooting game that I played in the previous life…" He thought about the old life that was more and more fading away, but he still attacked the orcs without stopping at the same time.

His God's Blade didn't invincible, there is a little time gap between the action of creating the sword and stabbing it, if the target can react fast enough they could dodge or even destroy the swords.

This group of Blackrock Grunts proves themselves to be top-notch fighters despite their madness from Demon Blood. Unlike when they are attacked while distracted by other footmen, this time, they saw what they need to face and can concentrate all their attention on the boy's attack. More than half of God's Blade are dodged or flicked away by their weapons.

"Dodged? Very good, now let's see how you guys will dodge this." Eskalios gritted his teeth, looking at the greenskins that getting closer and closer, gathering the power in his body before releasing the next big move. Create almost forty blades in instant and attack all the orcs in the front row at the same time.

With this amount of attack, even if some are missed but the remaining will hit the target, making five of them instantly die and more than ten injured to the point that affecting their movement.

"They are coming! Prepare for the fight. Let them come through the gate before attacking them. I will try to help you kill them as much as possible." Eskalios spoke with a slightly paler face.

He can create one hundred and fifty words with all his power, but this does not mean that he can create them all at once. It's the same concept as you can run five kilometers before he needs to stop, but that doesn't mean he could run five kilometers in one minute.

He just create one-third of his maximum amount in one go. This makes him somewhat exhausted and can only create two to three swords at the moment. But the good news is that now most of the Grunts have already been injured, so they should be able to play a melee for the time being.

"For Stormwind!" The soldiers are also boosted by that magnificent power, they scream and fight with the orcs that charge through the gate without any fear.

Eskalios also join in this fight, although he did not have any cool slogan the holy light also make him fight no less ferocious than the other. This makes them be able to hold on to the incoming Grunts and let the situation turn into a stalemate despite having just four people.

The other footmen also did not just stand around. They came back with several heavy objects in just three to four minutes. Some carry a huge dining table, some carry a bed, and some even carry a huge millstone. This efficiency makes Eskalios want to tell them that the war is too dangerous, they should go back home and do something like moving company. With your guys' talent, you can make money with ease.

Eskalios shrunk the battle line into the castle and let other people come and use those heavy objects to barricade the door. Although half of the castle gate was blasted there is still another half left. And the orcs also cannot destroy those barricades easily and can only come in one at a time.

Eskalios heals the injured soldiers while looking at the orcs that tried to squeeze and climb through that furniture but are being pushed back and sighs with relief.

The situation looks good right now. The most dangerous time has already passed. They can defend this castle for the time being. Next, if he attacks them from the wall then they should resolve these besiege with ease.

The situation is like what he thought. The physique of a normal Grunt isn't strong enough to jump across the wall and they did not have any projectile weapon, so although Eskalios is almost out of his power he's still carefully sniping them one by one from a safe distance.

But despite the battle tide that tilted to the human side, Eskalios still feels somewhat uneasy in his heart although he still didn't know the reason yet.

However, that answer is coming faster than he thinks. After he kills another orc at the castle gate, he looks around to observe the overall situation before one figure that stands far away from the battlefield had caught his eyes.

Although it is far away he can still see that it is an orc in a black robe, one of its hands holding a staff that is made from wood and some kind of animal bone, exuding an ominous aura as if saying 'Look at me, I am an evil dark wizard, woo hoo.'

When seeing this orc, he became alert in an instant, his mind thinking of the gate that was blasted away. At first, he didn't think about it, but now he thinks he knows who did that.

As if to prove his curiosity, that orc raises his wand, gathers green energy, and converts it into a fireball before shooting it in their direction.

"It's not good" Eskalios hurriedly shouted to the soldier that guards the castle gate. "The orc's mage has attacked! Hurry up and stay away from the gate!"

Although his order is quite abrupt he has very high prestige in this team so everyone instantly backs down, and the one who can't run also raises up their shield, protecting them from the explosion that destroys the gate along with the Grunts that stand near it.

"This is bad, how can there be an enemy warlock here."
