Descending

It is dark and lonely.

That is the first thought that comes into my mind. It is a cold and formless feeling. I don't know how I got here but somehow in the back of my mind, I know the answer.

Death. I am dead leaving behind my life.

I feel like I am in the air, floating in this endless darkness company by the cold death. Drifting in the deep dark. Panic and fear come out of me for a brief moment. My mind can't comprehend this moment and it is consuming my mental strength.

I feel my soul coming out of me. The concept of me. I try to take it back but there is no concept of body in my being. I grasp. I scream. I cry.

I cry. Cry until the death around me changes into something new.

Then, the light comes into the darkness. Driving away my negative thoughts in a second. I feel warm and feel at home. Not that I know of that place in the first place.

The dark disappears after a long time but it remains in me. I finally have a body. I don't know how the body comes into me and I don't have time to question the small matter. Because right now, in front of me is the figure covered in light.

Divine being. I think of that.

God.

I point my finger at the figure and ask. " Who are you?"

The figure laughs warmly and says. " I have never seen such a brave soul. Many stars have passed and you are a new one. Now, let's start."

The figure waves his hand and the light changes into substance. It is like the hole is being opened in the space. I can see the other side.

" It is called a portal. I thought your planet would know this term. Considering supernatural exists in your place."

" Supernatural? In my world? Really?" I ask.

The figure nods. " You will know when you return."

I stay silent and think about the information I just have. Supernatural? Is he talking about Hunter? I hear about rumours.

" Now, do you want to go back to your world?"

I shake my head. It is not like I don't want to go to my town but right now I am tired. Tired of my life over there. Tired of everything. Tired of her smile.

" Okay then. You have two choices." The figure circles me, walking slowly and explaining the choices.

" I will send you to my world."

" What kind of world?"

The figure looks at me in amusement. His gazes fill with childish thoughts. A chill ran down from my head to my spine. Hairs straighten up.

" It is a harsh world filled with monsters and crazy people. Some beings have more control over fate than me."

" So you are not God."

" I never said I am. So do you want to go to my world? I will take you as my son and you will work hard to take my place."

"I like to hear the second option," I ask without thinking about the first choice. I want to hear everything until I decide my life.

" Good. The second choice is you will move around worlds when you meet a certain requirement. After meeting every requirement, you will be sent back to your world."

I like the second choice a lot. Because it has the option to return to my town. I look at the figure and ask again.

" What are the requirements?"

The figure answers. " I don't know. I try but even with my power, I can't take a peek at the origin."

I nod in understanding and ask another question. " Does the world have supernatural?"

" Depend on your view. I would say they have. And don't worry you will be able to learn their world rules as well."

I stand up. " Then I chose the second option."

" It is a pity that you will not be my successor. Well, I can find another." The figure claps its hands, creating a wave of sound into the light.

A ball of light comes toward me and enters my chest. I react by checking my chest. " What is that?"

" My gift."

The figure smiles with full wickedness.

The light collapses and the dark returns. I cry again.

The first thing he felt when he opened his eyes was a heavy pressure on his body. The high-pressure wind pressed upward as he descended from the sky.

From the height, he saw the vast ocean and a tiny black dot. It didn't take a long time to realize that he was falling from the sky. He prayed for help remembering the figure from earlier.

But there was no answer to his prayer. As time passed, the distance between him and the water was getting closer as well. Suddenly, a beam of light came out from his chest, enveloping his body in an instant.

Murmurs echoed in his ears, screams of horror, he felt like he was losing his mind. Rational thoughts of the human mind were getting lost. Rage and hunger. The two feelings of wild animals emerged from the depths of his mind.

His body changed. Morphing into the giant lizard creature with a menacing-looking black spike from the back. The creature was about 300 meters. It landed on the water creating a huge impact.

The creature roared into the sky as it was angered by the pain.

The place was the calm belt, devoid of wind and sailors. As such the only attention the roar got was from the waves of giant sea monsters.
