Side Story 3 - Meet Up with Pandora
(POV-Narrator)
In the boundary of death and immortality or border of astral and divine plane, the slain gods, the ones waiting for them and stepmother of godslaying devil kings are in there meeting up with each other.
"Pandora-chan!!!"(Amaterasu)
"Amaterasu-chan!!!"(Pandora)
The two hugged each other cheerily.
"Don't forget about me."(Hera)
"Oh, Hera-sama."(Pandora)
"I apologize for causing ruckus in your territory, Amaterasu-sama."(Hera)
She bowed deeply to her. Amaterasu let it slide generously.
"Mortal races are truly interesting."(Dionysus)
"Dio-chan huh."(Amaterasu)
"I agree!I never thought I'd be killed with a stray arrow. Hahaha!!"(Odysseus)
The bow god laughed heartily.
Their casual conversation continues as they wait for the newly borned devil kings. One of them is burdened by fate, rather, burdened with everything.
"Here they come..."(Pandora)
The others concealed themselves. The five devil kings lie on the ground and start opening their eyes.
"Who, are you??"(Rin)
"I am goddess Pandora"(Pandora)
The all-giving and all-gifted goddess. The girl left with only one thing-- hope. The witch that holds the Circle of Usurpation in her embrace. A mother earth goddess.
[The stepmother of us, godslaying devil kings.](Shin, Shiro)
Their 'stepmother' softly smiles at them as she pats Shira's head.
"So let me begin the explanations. You five slain gods are rebirthed as devil kings. Since there is chaos around the whole diverse world and the 'hero' tasked to kill your kind has been fired, Circle of Usurpation is lively. That is why you will gain various stuff, check it later."(Amaterasu)
They all nodded obediently.
"To think even our race will meet you Pandora-sama."(Yumina)
"Yumina-chan huh. I don't favour the human race alone, humans have just higher probability of becoming a devil king. Though it is improbable in the first place..."(Pandora)
"It feels weird having a second mom."(Lia)
"Fufufu, so you're thinking about that huh..."(Pandora)
She took a deep breath and returned her stern expression.
"Everyone of you, especially Shin, there are gods and devil kings wreaking havoc all over the diverse world. I want your team to exterminate those tyrants. Since the great hero-sama was fired for doing that job to lessen the burden of the worlds, your team should be the replacement for that. I will double the XP you'll get from them. I will appoint you Shin as my hero and bless those you will choose. This is my trial, no, my earnest request. Even if I descend, my authority isn't suited by fighting. So the only thing I could do was to beg my children to do it for me. I am also working here non-stop so I can't actually descend. I'm sorry."(Pandora)
She apologized to them with a frustrated face. Everyone accepted her request.
"Why us? Why me?"(Shin)
"Sorry, I also just heard about it recently. Someone who knows more will explain it in my stead. Before that, here is my gift."(Pandora)
"That is [Compass of Divinity Searcher]. It will locate the person with divinity around your perimeter."(Pandora)
"Thank you for this."(Shin)
"I might have cried if you never said that!!"(Pandora)
Apparently, she asked various pantheons to create it for her. She said goodbye and disappeared. Another goddess wearing an imperial kimono appeared.
"Shira-chan, Shin-kun"(Amaterasu)
They talked about numerous things. Before they part ways, she said-
"Remember my advice. to you and those who will struggle with you. The greatest power of mortals was not their body, not their mind but their hearts. They are not almighty but because of that, they have infinite possibilities. Sometimes they can make miracles among miracles and even unimaginable things even for gods to do."(Amaterasu)
