1 Prologue

The glistening blade fell out of her blood-soaked hand, and disappeared in the pits of the chasm below. I took in the sight of the drawing of her last breath, with his blade pierced into her rigid body. Everything seemed to have come to a standstill, with all the focus on her, as she turned to me with blood dripping down her face.

"Xav…he is too strong…you got to make it out alive…"

In a final act of desperation, she combusted herself into a roaring blaze, devouring the enemy within

But...it was to no avail

That man, no, that monster, stepped out of the smoke, visibly unharmed. He discarded her charred corpse as if it was nothing but a useless trash

A deep grunt sounded out as his crimson red eyes stared at my direction. Footsteps that caused tremors neared location. I gazed upwards, only to have his figure towering in my line of sight. With a flash of light and a crack of wind, my world turned pitch black.

The only memento I was left with was the cold and detached look on his malevolent face.
