The Tower.
''Finally I'm close. Just a kilometer more and I'll be there.'' Vorden climbed a sand dune and saw the tower very close. This time it wasn't an illusion. He followed the trail that led to the tower. As he neared it, his surroundings changed. There was no longer a desert but a huge, tall tower. He saw two people already there sitting on large stones in front of the entrance. He recognized one of them from afar, her golden long hair flowing freely in the wind-Amy Reynold but the other one looked like a zombie with a poker face. He couldn't even recognize the face of one of the handsome guys on the group.
As he got closer, he saw a flash of golden light and an abbreviation, V.B in the air. He noticed two other abbreviations and two dark ones. He also caught a glimpse of one which was faded to the extent that you couldn't see it from afar like the rest. As he approached the two people who were already there, the zombie faced boy got up and rushed towards him. ''Vorden, Vorden. Big bro. How I'm happy to see you.'' Vorden bolted for the entrance of the tower as the guy approached him. He didn't hear what the guy said clearly. BANG. POOF. CRASH. Vorden crushed into the barrier and was thrown back with immense force which sent him crashing into the zombie guy on his tail. ''Get off me!'' the zombie guy shouted. Vorden hurriedly got off the zombie guy. Looking at it closely, he saw the tiger brown eyes;''Lith? Is that you?'' ''Who do you think it is!'' Lith replied in an angry tone. ''Man you seriously need a bath. I thought you were a zombie.'' ''Hmph! Boys!'' ''What's wrong with her?'' Vorden asked as he heard a grunt from Amy. ''Don't know.'' Lith shrugged. ''Liiith?'' Vorden looked at him suspiciously. ''I...I...I didn't do anything. I swear. I just bumped into her when I was thinking about my crying stomach. Hehe.'' Lith replied, avoiding eye contact with Vorden. ''O...Oh...okay. Take this and wash your face. We will talk about your crime later.'' Vorden said as he handed Lith a bottle of water.
Lith quickly washed his dirty face whiles Vorden helped him with his hair with another bottle of water. Even though it wasn't enough, it was better than the zombie face. Vorden handed him a bottle of orange juice and a bag of sandwiches and went off the other way to talk to Amy. ''I'm sorry for my brother's behavior. He's still learning you know?'' ''Hmph. He intentionally did that and he will PAY for it.'' Amy replied. ''By the way, what did he do?'' Vorden asked. ''He sque...ezed...my boobs!'' Amy replied shyly. ''W.T.F! But you need to rest and eat something. Take this-I will deal with him.'' Vorden handed her the same snacks he gave Lith and moved to sit on a stone by Lith. As Vorden helped himself to a few snacks, he heard heavy breathing behind him and a soft thud. He turned and saw Radar sprawled on the ground. He rushed towards and lifted him from the ground towards Lith and Amy. He laid him on the ground and took another bottle of juice and a bag of sandwiches.
''Where did you get all those from?'' Lith asked stretching his hand towards the snacks. Vorden slapped the back of his hands and gave the snacks to Radar as his breathing was finally becoming stable and he could sit. ''You think I would let you eat all the snacks?'' Vorden asked Lith. Tyler appeared from the left side of the entrance a minute later with no sweat or tired look on his face. ''Look at them. A bunch of weaklings stopping to rest and every second they get.'' Tyler smirked at Lith and Radar who were taking second helpings of the snacks.
The ground started shaking-creaking sounds could be heard as the barrier was lifted. A red crescent shaped light exposed the outline of the barrier as it was lifted.
