Impending doom (Part 11)

<Our enemy was strong, and we were well aware that would need to deploy all of our resources if going defeat it. We pooled into one coordinated effort, then made move eliminate this threat in a single blow.  < p>

However, in spite of the fact that we combined many of our S and SS-Rank forces, our assault did not even reach that thing. 

What did we expect, anyway? I'm still not sure what led us to make such a drastic choice that day, but the attack that we launched had great consequences.

The entity remained motionless, seemingly unaffected by our attack, while we bore the brunt of its looming presence. After that day, the sound of the system was never again heard by anyone.

We were unable to even access our character panel. It was interesting that while our abilities and stats were still active, we were unable to use the system in any way.
