Don Corleone's request, and Lorenzo's 'company' office

The celebration of Connie's wedding was in full swing, and Lorenzo couldn't help but notice the heads of the other four mafia families in attendance, including the Don of the Barzini family, Emilio Brazini. As he conversed with Michael, Michael's fiancée, Kay, interjected, her gaze fixed on a burly man nearby.

"Michael..." she started, her voice hushed, "That man over there... he's talking to himself."

Michael glanced in the direction she indicated, then shrugged it off, returning to his meal. Kay, however, wasn't done yet.

"See that scary guy over there?" she asked, lowering her voice as she nudged Deborah, who also turned to look.

"He's indeed a scary guy," Michael agreed, unfazed.

"What's that man's name?" Deborah asked, her curiosity piqued.

Lorenzo smiled, "That guy is Luca Brasi. He's a good guy… for the right people," he said, his tone implying a silent warning.

"Have you met him before?" Michael asked, raising an eyebrow.

Lorenzo nodded, "Yeah, I've talked to him. He's... interesting, and a good person," he said, leaving out the part about knowing Luca's future from the Godfather plot. He couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for the man's fate.

Michael chuckled, not quite believing the "good person" part.

Kay, meanwhile, couldn't hide her apprehension. "You think he's a good person?" she asked, her eyes on Luca Brasi.

Just then, Luca stood up and started walking in their direction. "Michael, he's coming over here!" Kay whispered, panic creeping into her voice.

Before Luca could reach them, Lorenzo stood up and greeted him with a smile. "How are you doing, Mr. Brasi?"

Luca tipped his hat and nodded at Lorenzo. "I'm doing fine, Lupo."

Lorenzo chuckled, "It seems you're practicing your words to please the Don."

Luca didn't deny it. "Your right... I mean, you're right. Speaking of which, I see that you're also good with words. Can you teach me some better ones to use on Don Corleone?"

Surprised by Luca's request, Lorenzo chuckled. "Of course, of course. I'd be happy to help."

As Lorenzo began guiding Luca Brasi on the art of conversation, Michael, Kay, and Deborah watched the scene unfold with amusement. Michael was particularly surprised to see Luca seeking Lorenzo's help, given his fearsome reputation as a fierce and loyal enforcer for the Corleone family. Luca was known for his unwavering loyalty to Don Corleone, feared both within the organization and outside it.

After just two minutes of guidance, Luca Brasi seemed to have learned a thing or two from Lorenzo. Just then, Tom Hagen appeared, greeting Michael with a hug before being introduced to Kay. Tom also nodded at Lorenzo and Deborah before leading Luca away to meet Don Corleone.

Seeing Luca Brasi being led away by Tom Hagen, Lorenzo turned to Deborah and asked, "Care to dance, bella?" He gestured towards the lively crowd on the dance floor.

Deborah smiled, "I've been waiting for you to ask, handsome." She took his hand, and they joined the other couples on the dance floor.

Their graceful movements and chemistry as they danced didn't escape the attention of the other guests, who couldn't help but steal admiring glances at the beautiful couple. Among them, Emilio Barzini, the Don of the Barzini family, watched them closely. His henchman leaned in and whispered something in his ear.

"So, that young man who Don Corleone just made a big fuss about is running an illegal operation in our turf?" Emilio raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, Don Barzini," the man confirmed.

"And they're paying the protection fee?"

"Yes, Don Barzini," the man nodded.

Emilio stroked his chin thoughtfully, his gaze not leaving the dancing couple. "Keep an eye on that kid's every move. It's likely he's working for Don Corleone, seeing how friendly they were earlier."

"Understood, Don Barzini," the man replied with a nod.

Emilio Barzini's gaze lingered on Deborah, "And that woman dancing with Lorenzo?"

"Her name is Deborah Gelly, Don Barzini. She's his fiance," the man responded.

"I see..." Emilio mused, his interest piqued. However, he knew better than to make a move on her or Lorenzo, not yet. The Corleone family was too powerful, with influence in politics, wealth, and manpower. He couldn't afford to jeopardize his plans of becoming the most powerful mafia boss in New York over his interest in Lorenzo or his fiance.

Lorenzo and Deborah continued their dance, oblivious to the cunning stare from across them. However, even if Lorenzo had known about Emilio's interest, it wouldn't have mattered much. He had always been cautious of the Barzini family.

As the song ended, the guests applauded and showered them with compliments.

"Bravo! Bravo!"

"Such a beautiful couple!"

"They're made for each other."

As the guests showered praise on Lorenzo and Deborah, the bride, Connie, couldn't help but feel a bit weird. After all, this was supposed to be her and her new husband Carlo's moment in the spotlight, not some guests.

Though Connie didn't mind, her new husband, Carlo, couldn't help but feel envious as he stared at the beautiful couple. It wasn't just about stealing their moment in the spotlight; it was the fact that Lorenzo had such a gorgeous woman by his side while he was stuck with Connie, who paled in comparison.

However, as soon as Lorenzo turned his way, Carlo quickly averted his gaze. He couldn't afford to offend the man who had just been declared Don Corleone's friend. Disrespecting Lorenzo would be like disrespecting the Don himself.

After they're done dancing, Lorenzo escorted Deborah to a secluded table, away from Michael and Kay. They sat down, savoring the moment to themselves. As they conversed, Lorenzo's keen senses, sharpened by his inhuman physique and senses, observed the party.

His eyes silently darted around the place, taking in every detail. A group of women caught his attention as they laughed and gossiped. He couldn't help but smirk as he eavesdropped on their conversation about Sonny's... prowess. One woman was even so bold as to gesture with her hands, exaggerating Sonny's size size, causing the others to erupt in hysterics.

Meanwhile, Don Corleone's wife took the stage, captivating the place with her voice as the band played. The children twirled around and dance.

The other mafia dons, took turns at the microphone, belting out Italian classics that had everyone's toes tapping.

As Lorenzo continued his multitasking act, engaging in conversation with Deborah while discreetly observing the powerful guests, a moaning sound caught his attention. He thought to himself, "Sonny boy is at it again, cheating so blatantly during his sister's wedding? And his wife's right there?"

Just then, a shriek of excitement erupted from a group of women nearby. Deborah turned her head towards the commotion, her curiosity piqued. "Hey, what's that?"

Lorenzo's enhanced vision zeroed in on the source of the commotion, and he recognized the man in the white suit, flanked by admirers. "It's just that popular star, Johnny Fontane," he casually informed Deborah.

Connie, still in her wedding gown, rushed over to greet the Hollywood heartthrob, her face alight with joy.

"That's really Johnny Fontane?" Deborah gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"Of course, it's him," Lorenzo replied, feigning nonchalance.

"Oh, my goodness! I can't believe it!" Deborah squealed, playfully slapping Lorenzo's shoulder.

"Why, you look so surprised," Lorenzo said, feigning ignorance. "Are you a fan?"

"Of course, I am!" Deborah exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. She couldn't believe her luck. "I never expected him to be here!"

Lorenzo shrugged nonchalantly. "Would you like to meet him?"

Deborah's jaw dropped. "Can I really?"

"Sure, let's go."

Lorenzo led Deborah through the crowd, with Michael and Kay following closely behind. As they approached the star, Lorenzo extended his hand first. "Johnny Fontane, I presume?"

Johnny shook his hand, but he could sense the warning in Lorenzo's gaze. Although he didn't know much about this man, he knew better than to cross him. "Pleasure to meet you," he said, his smile a bit strained.

Lorenzo stepped aside, allowing Deborah to bask in her moment with her idol. She gushed about his movies, her favorite scenes, and even managed to squeeze in an autograph request. Johnny, sensing the tension, was more than happy to oblige.

As the day progressed, Johnny Fontane took the stage and serenaded the guests with his velvety voice. Afterward, he mingled with his admirers, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Meanwhile, Don Corleone emerged from the mansion and greeted the star with a warm hug, before leading him to his office.

Time passed, and Tom Hagen approached Lorenzo, gesturing for him to follow.

Intrigued, Lorenzo obliged, and soon enough, he found himself in Don Corleone's office, alongside Michael, Sonny, and another man he hadn't met yet, and that's Fredo.

Don Corleone began the introductions. "I believe you've already met my two sons, Sonny and Michael?"

Lorenzo nodded respectfully. "Of course, Don Corleone. I've heard Sonny is quite the charmer," he said, flashing a knowing smile with the older son, "and Michael here is a war hero."

Don Corleone chuckled. "Compared to your war achievements, I don't think Michael is worthy of mentioning." He then turned to the third man in the room. "This is Fredorico, my second eldest son."

"Pleasure to meet you, Fredo," Lorenzo said, shaking the man's hand firmly.

Don Corleone then got down to business. He wanted his sons, Sonny, Fredo, and Michael, to forge a partnership with Lorenzo regarding their respective illegal ventures.

While Michael seemed reluctant, Don Corleone insisted that his son could learn a thing or two from Lorenzo.

After ironing out the details, the meeting adjourned, and Lorenzo left the Corleone mansion. He met up with Deborah, Max, Patrick, Philip, and Adam, and they all climbed into their cars, ready to head back to the Lower East Side neighborhood.

As they pulled up to their neighborhood, the sun was already high in the sky. Lorenzo escorted Deborah to her doorstep, and her parents couldn't help but stare at the luxurious car she emerged from. Their eyes widened when they realized it was none other than their daughter's date, Lorenzo, who owned the vehicle.

The Gellys' approval of him seemed to grow tenfold, and rightfully so.

Lorenzo bid them goodbye and drove back to his gang's base, which was disguised as the company, Lupo Group's headquarters. He stepped out of the car and entered the building, where Adam had been hard at work setting up Lorenzo's office.

"What do you think? It's a nice office, isn't it?" Adam asked, proudly gesturing around the spacious room.

Lorenzo took in the sleek furniture and organized desk. "It'll do," he said with a nod.

"I've been dreaming of the day you'd return, and I could show you this office, and our headquarters," Adam said, his chest puffed with pride. "I've renovated and decorated everything to impress you."

Lorenzo patted him on the shoulder. "It can't have been easy, holding down the fort without me."

"It was tough," Adam admitted, "but we managed. So, what's the first order of business, boss?"

Lorenzo sat down in his plush leather chair, propping his elbow on the desk as he eyed his right-hand man. "What kind of trouble did our gang get into while I was away at war?"
