1 Chapter 1 Human realm

My name is Erica and I live with my only sibling , Blanca.

We were two sisters who lived in harmony and contented with anything we have .

There are three realms in the universe . The human realm , the white angels realm and the dark angels realm which is where we belong .

We have black wings but I was an exception.

I was born with red hair and red wings and that made me different from other dark angels .

Everything was going well until the day , my sister read about the human realm in the library . She was a lover of books and an explorer .

"Erica , I want to share something with you " She said to me and I gave her my attention .

"What is it , sister ?"I asked and she took a deep breath before saying "I want to go to the human realm"

"You're going no where "I replied and she frowned .

"But why ? I've read about it and their world is different from ours ..."

"Which is the more reason you can't go there . We're different . Don't underestimate them because they have no wings and magical powers like us . They have a special power called science and with that they protect themselves . They'll call us monsters and then Chase after us . Do you know why ? because we're different " I said to her but that only widened her eyes .

"Now I want to go there and see this science for myself " She said enthusiastically.

"Blanca, there is no way am allowing you go there and that's it . It is dangerous and I will never put you in harm way"I said and she left while crying .

She'll come back to her senses after crying . I reassured myself .

Mom's last words when she came back with dad from a journey we knew nothing about kept ringing in my ears .

I was 12 then and Blanca was only seven .

"Mom what happened to you both ?"I asked mom who's blood was coming out of her mouth and nostrils. Dad was already lifeless at that time .

"It's...Dan....ger...ous" She stuttered while coughing out blood .

"What do you mean mom ?"I asked.

"The hu...man...world "She said

"What about it ?"I asked

"He's there" She whispered and I got more confused .

She pulled her necklace and wore it round my neck .

"Be safe " She whispered and took her last breath.

"Mom!!! Dad!!" I screamed but they were no more .

Blanca came in at that moment with her toy and stared at me confusingly.

She didn't understand what happened at that moment .

I touched the necklace mom gave me and flew away to my hide out .

It's my hide out cause that's the only place I find solace when distressed and no one knows about it .

I have friends there who keep me company . They were : Rado the lion , Itzy, the bird , Biku the cat , squeaky the squirrel , and Anok the cat.

"What's with the sad face , Erica?" Itzy asked .

"Blanca wants to go to the human realm "I said and they all gasped .

"Didn't you once said they have something to do with the demise of your parent ?" Rado asked .

"Of course , and she's aware of that cause I've told her the story . I still don't understand why she suddenly wants to go there "I said frustratedly.

"It's the effect of those books on her . I've always known reading was a bad influence on people " squeaky said while struggling to break a nut .

"Reading isn't bad . You just like looking at the negative aspect of things "Anok said .

"Because , focusing on the negative aspect reminds you of the danger it attracts " Squeaky said.

"I'll be going now "I said .

"Do convince her on the danger of going to the human world " Itzy said and I nodded then flew away .

"I always admire the way her wings flies" Rado said.

"Yeah , maybe it's cause of the different colour it has " Anok said and turned to squeaky was still struggling on his nut .

"If you can't break it then let it go . You have more than a thousand nuts " Anok said .

"Never say never "squeaky replied .

"That has nothing to do with what I just said "Anok said .

"It means never give up " Squeaky said

"How does it relate to letting that one go since you have more than a thousand? " Anok asked

"You want me to give up but I will never say never "squeaky shouted

"Whatever " Anok shrugged

"Erica must be worried about her sister " Itzy said .

"That Blanca only knows how to trouble Erica , since their childhood" Rado said .

I flew to my house and called Blanca but got no answer .

"Blanca where are you ?"I asked but heard nothing .

I saw a letter on the table and picked it to read .

"Sister , I know you must be angry that I've left for the human realm even after toy warned me , but don't worry I'll be back before you know it . They won't know about my wings cause I cast a spell to make it disappear. I just want to have a little tour and I'll be back . This is the first time am violating your orders but please let me do this one thing I want to do . I love you Erica " The letter read .

I crumpled the paper and burnt it to ashes .

Blanca is just too stubborn!

Blanca's POV

I created a portal and crossed into the human realm.

I made a spell that made my wings disappeared and I walked among humans freely !

It was the best feeling in the world , I was extremely happy .

"Sweet buns for a penny " A man shouted and people were giving him coins and notes in exchange for the buns .

I had no coin with me so I used my magic to conjure one .

"I want one "I said and gave the man my coin in exchange for a bun .

I ate it and it was the sweetest thing that's ever entered my mouth .

I conjured another coin and got a bun which I took with me and left the place .

I went to a secluded area and created a portal , which I used to go back to my realm .
