1 Death Is A Pervert

Blood.

So much blood.

It was such a pretty color, so pigmented that it would stain anything it touched. Like the pure white tile that lined the floor. Or the yellow painted wall that swam in her vision.

Why was there so much red, again?

She remembered narrowed black eyes. Those alone were so vivid, but that was it. There wasn't a face to place with those haunting eyes.

Who was he to her to look at her with such hatred?

The image blurred before vanishing.

She strained her ears, desperate to hear anything.

Why was it so quiet?

Why couldn't she remember anything?

The more she tried to open her eyes, to take in her surroundings, the more tired she became.

"Mm," A deep hum echoed from around her.

She tensed, hands twitching as she willed her body to move. To run, to do anything besides lay wherever she was.

 Her gut clenched.

A dark aura surrounded her. The suffocating presence swallowed her entire being.

Who was this?

"You're fighting very hard," He chuckled.

Her eyes snapped open and she sat up. Goosebumps lined her arm, giving away to the fear she felt inside. The white gown she wore got soaked with the water she laid in, revealing - thank goodness - a bra and underwear.

With wide eyes and flushed cheeks, she crossed her arms over her chest. She immediately took notice of the dark nothingness around her, and the shirtless man kneeling beside her.

She sucked in a sharp breath, he was so close.

His black eyes, the ones she saw in her dream, blinked back at her, the shock evident in his piercing glare. Matching dark hair fell into his eyes as he peered down at her.

She gasped, hand curling into a fist. She swung forward and punched him in the face. He fell back with an angry shout, splashing into the water that covered the ground.

"Help! Pervert!" She screamed. She scrambled up on wobbly legs. Water splashed around her as she kicked at it, getting her gown more wet than it was before. Her voice echoed around her and she whimpered.

Where in the world was she? Did he drag her into a dark cave to do vile things to her? Oh goodness how did this happen?!

"Ow, what the fuck?" The guy snapped. He shot a glare from over his shoulder as he sat back on his heels. His hand covered his bloody nose, "Have you gone insane?!"

She flinched at the dark aura that surrounded him and took a step back. This was not normal though. The power radiating off of him wasn't something she'd ever felt before. He. . . couldn't be human. . .

Great, she was going to be violated by a creep!

"Who are you?" She asked, hands curling into fists at her sides, "Where am I? What have you done to me?" She curled her arms around herself and glared at the strange magician in front of her.

Her nose wrinkled in disgust. Out of all people, it had to be the people she hated the most. She supressed a shiver, Magicians were so creepy!

How did he make everything disappear?!

She took in his shirtless chest and flushed at his hard abdomen. Hard muscles that flexes when he moved. He had a strong and prominent jaw along with high cheekbones.

Woah. . .

Okay, her creepy kidnapper was hot, so what?

She tilted her head, why did all the hot ones have to be crazy?

Focus. . . she frowned, brows furrowing. Wait, what was her name?

Her eyes widened as she stared at him in disbelief. He must have been a powerful magician to make everyone disappear and make her forget her name. Her family. Her frown deepened. He must have deleted her mind entirely, she couldn't remember anything!

"This is why I didn't want you to wake up. This process is tedious." He glared at her. He turned away and mumbled under his breath, "They always ask the same thing. WhO aRe YoU?" He mocked. "Ugh, just shut up and let me do what I'm supposed to do." The man growled in return. He turned back to her and lunged.

The question about her name flew out of her head. She let out an embarrassing squeak and jumped away from him.

"Pervert! Don't touch me!" She screeched out, not at all caring if she sounded like a desperate banshee. A man - an incredibly hot man, but that is besides the point - one she didn't know, jumped at her with his arms outstretched like she was fresh meat!

Of course she was going to be hysterical.

"I'm not a pervert! Stand still!" He growled as he chased after her. She glanced over her shoulder and her eyes widen when she saw he was right behind her.

He may have said something, but his actions said another.

Holy shit, this guy was fast!

She screamed when he tackled her to the ground, water splashing on them. She glared up at him as he straddled her waist. He pinned her arms above her head, and his jet black hair fell into his onyx black eyes.

He had really nice eyes. Dark like the night sky, yet so shiny with thousands of twinkles.

It was so inhuman.

She shook her head, she had to snap out of it.

"You're not a pervert huh? Then why are you on top of me? Huh?" She gestured to the way he looked over her, and then to herself who may as well have lost the white gown as it hid little to nothing now. "Pervert." She hissed at him woth narrowed eyes.

"After centuries of doing this, it's the first time I've been labeled a pervert." He glared back at her.

She shrunk back.

"Will you shut the fuck up?" He snapped when she opened her mouth to insult him once more. "I'm only doing this because you decided to run away!" He shouted. A vein in his neck stuck out more than the others. She resisited the urge to poke it.

"Because you were staring down at me. Like a pervert!" She shouted back at him, not at all letting go of it. She didn't know what was wrong with the guy's head, but it's not normal to stare at a girl when she was sleeping.

Was she sleeping?

"If I get up, you can't run away." He glared down at her.

She glared back, cheeks flushing red because even though he was a complete asshole, he was still hot.

A hot, crazy creepy magician, pervert.

"Fine. Just stop touching me, pervert." She snapped back at him.

He clenched his jaw and jumped off of her.

As soon as the girl was on her feet, she turned to run away again. As soon as she took a step, she froze.

A large slick blade was right in front of her, ready to cut her in half had she gotten any closer.

"I don't particularly like liars." The guy glared back. She followed the blade to the long handle he held in his hands.

The crazy bastard had a scythe.

"Now," He sighed, scratching his neck as if he was exhausted. "Before you rudely punched me in my face," He glared at her, as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, "I would have introduced myself and explained myself before you jumped to conclusions." Despite how much he didn't want too. She wasn't going to remember anyways.

"You leaning over and watching a vulnerable girl is a great first impression. Do continue, who are you?" She demanded crossing her arms over her chest and cocking her hip.

"You know what, usually I like to ease into it." He gently glided his hand through the air. "Saves me a lot of freak outs. But you're just a major bitch, so I'm just going to put it to you straight." He circled her and smiled. It was dark, not at all one she'd ever seen before. A smile that promiseds despair. "I'm going to love the way you fall."

She eyed him, confidence faltering.

"I, poor girl," He came to a stop in front of her once more, "am Death. The grim reaper, whatever the fuck you want to call it." He waved his hand dismissively, "And do you know what that makes you?" He smiled, eyes leering at her.

As soon as Death finished, she bursted into laughter, because what he insinuated was that she was dead.

"I'm dead? Hahaha!" She clutched her stomach and doubled over. Yet, as soon as it started, it ended just as quickly.

"Wait." She stood up straight, as dread dug its roots into her stomach. "Does that explain why I can't remember anything?" She frowned. She tried to recall everything up until that point. Even the dream she had before she woke up here, wherever this place was, was gone. "I can't remember my name, or who I was, or where I came from. Nothing."

She glared at the annoying smile on his face.
