Goddess Abyssal System

[Kingdom Building, Demons, Monsters, Dungeons] You know those isekai'd stories where the male lead gets sent to another world and get these really awesome skills that look like trash? It's about the same thing that happened to the main character in this story. Sun Min-Ji. Oh? Did you just notice the name? That's right, the main character this time is female. Will it be like those shojo manga with romance and a man always at the rescue? No. Not this time. This particular female lead will experience a reincarnation. After dying from a mysterious illness, she reawakens into the body of a naked woman. This naked woman had been raped and killed then disposed of into the bottom of the Abyss. She learns the woman had the same name and was once a hero discriminated against for being a woman with power. After receiving such horrific memories, Sun decided she would take revenge for the woman's body she took over. At the lowest floor of the Abyss, Sun Min-Ji will discover something that will unlock the Abyssal System. With this system she will revive the great Abyss and become the Goddess of a massive Underworld Kingdom.

The First Thing to Do. Level Up!

A mirror floated in front of Sun's face. At this point, nothing is able to surprise her, that's what she thought. But what shocked her the most about her new appearance was the fact she no longer looked remotely human.

There she was in the flesh. Black hair, red eyes, horns, and a tail. Yep, there were horns and a tail on her body that were not there before. Her once pale skin was now a dark grey and her ears have become pointed like an elves.

"Do I like it? What exactly am I?" Sun asked.

She was clearly not human anymore. It did not upset her in the least to lose her humanity. What upset her was the lack of ass she had received! Sure she now have a more busty chest and hell! She even looked super sexy. But her butt was gone. She really wanted to cry.

"DID I GO TOO FAR?"

Sun shook her head, "No, it's okay. I like it better this way. Can I know more about the creature I turned into?" She asked.

"Right. A Succubus is, believe it or not, rare in this magic world. They are powerful monsters on the same wavelength as a Demon Lord. It's unfortunate, but you have become the last and only Succubus that exist."

If only this damned Goddess would stick to how she wished to speak. Either inside her head or out. Still, it's cool to hear that she was now the only kind out there. Means that she was special, unlike how it was back on modern Earth.

"Wait, did you say this world was magic?" Sun asked.

Though it was already clear, she still wanted to be sure.

"That's right. Here you will have access of things you would never imagine. The system given to you will not only help you grow stronger without limits, but you will be able to rebuild this Abyss to its former glories. ISN'T THAT AWESOME!"

Rebuild...the Abyss?

"What is this place, exactly?" Sun asked looking around.

"It was once a place of glory. Where monsters of all kinds roamed until the deepest depths. A dragon used to live down here, but it's now just a pile of bones. As the Moon Goddess such a realization should not be what saddens me. After the last hero wiped the Abyss clean, I started understanding how cruel it was. There were families, friends, and more in monsters than I thought. I decided to revive this place, see it flourishing and defeating the next hero that comes."

A Goddess who wants to destroy the world?

"Not destroy it, i want you to rule over it. Make everything in this world yours, that is all I ask."

She just read her mind again.

"A small upgrade once we became one."

"Does this mean you can also hear my personal thoughts?" Sun asked her.

"Well, if you don't wish for me to hear it, you could always use mana to block me from the thoughts you wish to keep private." Roscha pointed out.

"Mana?"

"Ah, right? A modern creature would not know much about that. But if I told you that you were someone born to use it, then you'd be amazed. Mana is the essence of magic. It's what you need in order to use it, that and intelligence. In your situation, Mana can become limitless because a Succubus can easily use Soul Extraction to collect the mana they need."

"I can't use mana without taking it from others?" Sun asked.

"That's not it. You can use it, it's just minuscule. If you wish to have more, I recommend stealing it. It's also a way to take skills and other things you need."

What the hell! That sounds OP! Using Soul Extraction isn't as simple as she imagined.

"So, what about this letter S being used at the end of the blessing, curse, and skills?" She asked.

"That is a grade. SSS is said to be the highest grade used in this world. Though it's rare for someone to harbor such a high grade in blessings or curses. Yet you have two such feats. There is a legend said that there is a grade higher than this. Though no one has yet to obtain it"

So, it really was like the manhwas she read. The only difference is the ranks are called grades and SSS grade is said to be the highest grade in this world. That means levels are probably different here as well.

"What's the highest level one could reach here?" Sun wondered.

"Humans can only go as far as level 999. As for monsters, it is said that they could go as far as level 9999. But it's possible for both humans and monsters to break these caps. Everything has rules, but as I have started saying, rules are meant to be broken."

Leveling is about the same but being able to go beyond the capped level is different.

"I see. I have one last question."

"WHICH IS?"

"Where do I start?" Sun asked.

"There are still some insects that live in the Abyss. Though, they aren't very smart and of the lowest level. You'll be able to find them at the entrance of the first level. I advise you to level up using them. Once you reach level 10, you can unlock the Abyssal Lottery. I'll explain more about that when you unlock it."

Sun stretched her arms above her head before she finally left the room she was in. That's when something crossed her mind. "Does this mean I was in the Boss room just now?" She asked.

"That's right. I have already gotten rid of the dragon's bones." Roscha tells her.

"So, how many floors are in the Abyss?" She asked.

"Hmm, about maybe 500 floors?"

Sun paused, "500? Aren't I at the very bottom?"

"Ah. If you're worried, there's a faster route to the first floor."

"You could have told me that sooner." Sun stated dryly.

Sun was lead back to the Boss room. It turned out there was a functional elevator on the right wall of the Boss room. Roscha says it's not very safe to use and would probably break down once she reached the top.

"It's fine, I'll take the long route back down, It would be better to take a tour of the Abyss anyways." Sun told her.

She just didn't want to take the long way up, it sounded way too tiring. And so, thanks to the elevator she reached the first floor of the Abyss. Just as Roscha said the elevator broke down and could not be used again unless fixed.

"Head to the entrance in the east direction, there you will find the Horned Dung Beetle."

Dung Beetle? Like the ones they had on Earth?

"While the ones on Earth are without horns and eat their feces, that is as far as the similarities go. The Horned Dung beetles here in the Gabeya Rift are monsters. they will attack anyone they find to be approaching them. Their strength are two times the amount of the Dung Beetles on Earth, and despite their lack in intelligence , they are tricky little buggers." Roscha explained.

"What the hell is that?" Sun asked pointing in the direction of something large and red.

"That, my dear, is a Horned Dung Beetle. I forgot to add how much bigger they are than a modern Dung Beetle."

"No Shit!" Sun exclaimed.

The bug was massive, with a reddish hue to it's exoskeleton, and long black, thick horns a bit larger than her own.

"THE ONE HERE SEEMS TO HAVE ROAMED A BIT FAR FROM THE OTHERS. THIS IS A GOOD CHANCE TO TAKE IT OUT BEFORE THE OTHERS ARRIVE."

Take it out? That massive insect? Are you crazy?!

"DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH, DESPITE IT'S MASSIVE SIZE AND STRENGTH, THEY ARE THE WEAKEST MONSTER IN THIS WORLD. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE IT OUT. IF YOU LOOK THERE ABOVE IT'S HEAD, YOU CAN SEE IT'S LEVEL."

Just as Roscha pointed out, Sun looked above the head of the Horned Dung Beetle. Sure enough, she could make out the Horned Dung Beetle's name and level.

"Level 5. But why are the words colored red?"

From her experience such a color was not a good thing.

"It's as you are thinking. Red means the monster is stronger compared to your level. Once you level up to a certain level the color will change depending on the monster and it's level."

Sun didn't have time to say anything as the Beetle finally noticed her presence. The back of it's shell rises up in defense.

"Here it comes, get ready! Use your claws to take it out and use soul extract to extract it's soul once it dies. After this I won't have to tell you again!"

Thanks for that, Captain obvious!
