490 Saiyan Pride

"Uh, yeah! Of course you missed his birth! Do you have any idea how many months you've been gone?"

"Oh! That explains why your tummy's flat again!"

"I swear...do Saiyan men have anything resembling emotions?"

"The little guy's in the incubator back there. Think you can help me pick out a name?"

"What's wrong now? You've seen a baby before!"

"..."

"Kakarot... We'll call him Kakarot."

"Kakarot! Sure! That's a fine name! Grow up big and strong my little Kakarot!"

...

"You have to stay alive..."

...

After being hit in the head numerous images and voices flashed through Goku's mind as he laid there nearly unconscious, images and voices he now knew belonged to when he was a baby.

He could hear the day he was given his name, given to him by his father.

He recalled the day he opened his eyes while in the pod to see his father returning injured, but even then he placed his hand against the pod and smiled upon seeing his son.

His father leaving on another mission while his mother and a child Raditz saw him off.

His mother working around the house, or when other Saiyan women would visit her. And when she'd fall asleep at the table waiting for Bardock to come home.

The final set of memories going through his mind was of Bardock and Gine taking Goku out of the incubation pod, dressing him in Saiyan battle armor, and placing him into a space pod to be sent away.

"Stay alive..."

Those were the last words he'd ever heard from his parents before they died, and before he hit his head to lose all memory of them, until they were revived decades later.

Even then though Goku hadn't remembered his life before being sent to planet Earth, where he was raised as a human.

But now, now everything was coming back him with crystal clear clarity, and several pieces that he hadn't even known were out of place righted themselves within him.

"Kakarot?" Bardock asked him as Goku held his fist with a tightening grip.

Goku looked up at his father, smirked, and punched him with his free hand to send him flying.

"AND WHAT A COMEBACK! SON GOKU HAS NOW RETURNED FIRE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" The announcer cried out as people leapt up in surprise from the sudden reversal, while some others said it was just a lucky hit.

As his father was sent flying, Goku shook out his arms and legs to loosen them up again after the beating he'd taken. He then took in a deep breath before re-tensing the muscles in his body.

For quite a while now Goku had been struggling with something, and he had no idea what he was supposed to do to get to the next level. Now however, Goku felt as if he could pull it off as he began channeling his energy.

"Haaa, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

Roaring at the top of his voice, Goku's energy exploded outwards as he became enveloped in golden light so intense, it was like he had become a miniature sun. The effects of his transformation didn't stop there though, as the entire arena began to shake in response to Goku's rapidly rising energy levels, while the colosseum outside also began to shudder slightly.

Alex looked up in alarm as he watched the phenomenon taking place, a large smile forming at what Goku was doing.

"Finally." He uttered in excitement at how much closer Goku was getting to him, before saying to Whis via telepathy,

"Goku should have a much easier time with his training now."

"Indeed. It looks as if Goku-San managed resolve the conflict in his heart. Perhaps we should eat some delicious food together to celebrate?" For a moment Whis was left standing in silence as he awaited Alex's answer, while he also started salivating at the thought of the delicious he saw and smelled in Alex's room earlier.

When he was beginning to think he was being ignored, Whis suddenly received a message on his scepter that he quickly opened to see if that was a yes. Unfortunately for him though, the message was a picture from his sister Kusu that showed her sitting on Alex's face while Vados bounced up and down on his cock, and Marcarita was eagerly licking the place where they were connected.

"A simple no would've sufficed..." Whis grumbled to himself after seeing the picture, his appetite suddenly gone.

Though the picture was taken earlier, Whis had no way to know that as he turned his attention back to the projection of Goku's still ongoing transformation. The brilliant light of the golden sun had slowly begun to die down after sustaining itself for several minutes, and when it finally faded entirely the projection showed Goku in his new form.

"And this-" Anne began as everyone saw the changes that Goku had undergone, "-is the the Super Saiyan 3."

As the projection focused and did a close-up on Goku himself, it showed him with an exaggeratedly extended brow ridge, and a much greater muscle volume than he had before. Most noticeably though, was the golden hair that now flowed down his back all the way to his butt.

Even as he seemingly stood there doing nothing, powerful waves of golden energy radiated from Goku's body that pierced the veil of night to turn night into day, while arcs of lightning continuously sparked to life around him.

"You actually did it Kakarot..." Bardock uttered in amazement as he returned after recovering from the earlier hit, before smirking as he asked, "so what did you 'remember'?"

This time Goku smirked as he looked up at his father, before saying bluntly, "my pride."

Bardock could only blink at that, but in the microsecond it took for his eyes to do so, he opened them to see his son's fist directly in front of his face.

*KABOOM!*

Again, Bardock was sent flying back from a hit unlike one he had ever taken before, a hit that had instantly shattered several of his bones. The hit was so powerful, that Bardock was sent flying back past the area they had originally started fighting, and to an entirely new area where his body smashed through dozens of buildings.

Before he could crash into the ground below though, Bardock was suddenly hit again to be sent flying in an entirely new direction, carving a new path of destruction with his body until he was hit again. And again.

With Kakarot moving at speeds he couldn't even process, Bardock was completely helpless in the face of the might of a SSJ3. And, despite his best efforts, soon lost consciousness when he was kicked directly down into the ground below.

"L-LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... SON GOKU WIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS!"

The announcer cried out with a voice full of shock as the two Saiyans were returned to the colosseum, and Bardock was immediately carted away for medical attention with Goku not too far behind him.

There, they were quickly met by Gine with Goten in her arms as she hurried to her husband's side.

"Bardock...." Gine uttered as she watched over Bardock, who had already been treated by Anne's exceptional team and was simply still asleep.

Goku, who had also similarly been treated, stood by her while even Raditz arrived and stoically stood opposite them.

"Kakarot....." Bardock muttered as he regained consciousness, alerting everyone as Goku stepped up and said,

"Yes dad?"

Seeing his son, Bardock smiled and said while gripping his forearm,

"Good match son. You made me proud today." Similarly gripping his father's forearm, Goku replied,

"Thanks dad..... For reminding me what Saiyan Pride means." When he heard that though, Bardock just snorted as he said,

"If you remembered that then you better win this tournament. Anything else is unacceptable for a Saiyan." Tightening his grip as he said that, Goku nodded in affirmation as he said,

"I will." Seeing and hearing a conviction in his son's tone and eyes that hadn't been there before, Bardock smiled as he released his grip and said while laying back,

"Good then."

***

As the family was relaxing after two of them fought a hard match, the next and last round before the final was getting under way as both Caulifla and Pikkon stepped up to the arena.

"AND HERE WE ARE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE FINALE BEFORE FINALE! THE SECOND OF OUR SEMIFINAL MATCHES, BEFORE WE MOVE ON TO TODAYS FINALS! CAULIFLA VERSUS PIKKON!"

The entire arena shook with the cheers from the audience as they eagerly welcomed the next match, and the images of the two contestants were projected so that they looked like Giants in the middle of the colosseum.

Along with them was the image of the place they were going to fight, and endless field of long green grass that waved in the wind.

Immediately Caulifla and Pikkon were both transported to the arena, where the latter simply acted in his usual stoic manner while Caulifla casually swung her arms around to loosen them up.

"Try not to lose too quickly!" She taunted with a smirk, to which her opponent replied stoically,

"I would ask the same of you, Saiyan. Though, unless you can use the same transformation as Son Goku, I will not be expecting much." His comment made Caulifla's brow twitch as she asked irritably,

"You wanna know the difference between myself and Goku?" Pikkon wordlessly tilted his head in curiosity, even as the announcer told them to get ready.

"My training partner is a bimbo bunny."

"FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"

The moment the fight started Caulifla transformed in an instant and shot forward, viciously sinking her fist into Pikkon's stomach.....or so she thought.

"Perhaps this will be interesting after all..." Pikkon uttered as the muscles in his body tensed, before he returned Caulifla's attack back at her.

...

People watched with awe-filled expressions as the battle between Caulifla and Pikkon went on, as neither backed down even after nearly an hour had passed.

Every time Pikkon knocked Caulifla down she would simply get back up stronger than before, even as her body accrued more and more injuries, and returned the favor with interest as her opponent received his first injuries in the tournament.

The arena they had found themselves in had long since gone from an endless pastoral green field, to a ragged battleground that had been ravaged beyond repair.

But even as they both sustained horrific injuries, and the landscape around them was devastated, neither fighter backed down as they fervently tried to defeat the other, pushing themselves literally until the brink of death.

It was only after the hour marker passed that the match finally came to an end, but even then the losing party remained standing despite losing consciousness, their sheer will refusing to bow even now.

"I-I CAN'T BELIEVE IT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.... CAULIFLA WIIIIIIIIIIINS!"

The announcer roared as the Saiyaness heaved her chest, her body on its last legs with more bones broken than not, and vicious lacerations crisscrossing much of her body. But despite that all, Caulifla had a massive smile on her face with the knowledge that she won, before she too lost consciousness as the strength left her body and she fell forward.
