Xavier could feel the breath escaping from his lungs and not being able to draw any more in - Ryo's grip was deadlocked around his throat. 

Ryo grinned at him while he continued to suffer through the electric shock and the blade that had been jammed into his body. Xavier grabbed a hold of his arm and tried to remove it, but it was akin to a child trying to break free from an adult. 

"I thought I would give you a fair shot to take me out, as a fellow slayer to another slayer. But, this was disappointing. So time to end it!"

"W-wait!" Xavier tried to mouth. 

Ryo clenched his fist as tight as he possibly could and a sickening snap could be heard throughout the room. And just like that Xavier's body went limp within his grasp.
