Training Room

Theo arrived to the training rooms. It was a large room that was almost completely empty except for a couple of couches, tables, and some people walking around. It looked to be a ginormous lounge which confused Theo as he clearly saw the "Training Rooms" sign right outside of the door to the room.

What he did notice though was that at the end of the room there was a large purple orb that fluctuated its mana from time to time. As he looked on, people went over to the orb and seemingly disappeared into the wind.

Theo was shocked at this, and went on over to the orb. He stood before the orb and used "Scan"

< This orb allows one to travel to an alone room to train in. The room is completely fabricated and is not real, however, you can still train as if it's real life. You can also invite others to your room or visit their room. Room is not customizable >

It was a large amount of information, but Theo got the gist of it. 'What an amazing concept!' Theo was quite happy of this discovery, if he had known about this, he wouldn't have had to go out of the walls and risk his safety so many times.

He immediately put his hand on the orb and got transported into his own "training room." It was nothing like he had imagined. A blank white room with no walls, ceilings, or windows. It looked to stretch on for infinity.

After looking around a little bit, Theo began to practice some of his skills. He used streak step twice before noticing that his stamina seemed to not go down at all. This was amazing. He could practice without having to wait for his stamina to regenerate.

For fun, Theo dashed around in lighting speeds around the room. He then pulled out his Rod to practicing fighting with it. For basic weapons like swords and spears, he had a basic idea of how to use them, but he had never seen a rod in use as a weapon before.

Surprisingly, he had a great talent for it, being able to wield it in many different ways while spinning it around constantly. After practicing for what seemed to be around an hour, Theo saw something weird in front of him.

A window screen that said "Qitian Dasheng would like to join your room. Accept/Decline." This was quite interesting. At first he thought that it was his system window, but it had a different design and color completely. It must have been the training rooms built in system.

'Ah hell why not.' Theo thought to himself as he pressed "Accept." Suddenly, a person started to materialize in front of him. In front of him was a boy that looked to be around the same age as Theo. He had brown hair and wore clothing like a japanese royal. He also held a katana in his hand.

"So you are "him" huh?" The boy said to himself. Theo was quite confused by this question that wasn't even directed to him. What did he mean by "him". "What are you talking about? Why did you want to join my room?" Theo questioned Qitian.

"Fight me!" Qitian replied. Wasting no time, he started to run towards Theo. Theo could sense bloodlust coming from Qitian and stepped back. "Why do you want to fight all of a sudden?" Theo said while continuing to step back.

Qitian gave no answer. "Well, i'd never say no to a good fight!" Theo said before pulling out his rod and running towards Qitian. "That's more like it!" Qitian said as he swung his sword down upon Theo.

Theo blocked the blow with his rod but still felt the pressure in his wrists. The force was explosive. Theo tried to back up, but Qitian kept pushing forward, not letting up even a bit. Even still, both of them still had a smile on their face while fighting.

Theo noticed he wasn't getting tired at all. He then remembered how he had infinite stamina in the training room. An even bigger smile appeared on his face. Suddenly, Qitian saw Theo almost disappearing out of nowhere. Right after, he felt a menacing bloodlust behind him.

Turning his head, he could see Theo right behind him. "Shock Rod!" Theo yelled out. Qitian managed to dodge the blow just by an inch and backed up a couple steps, but Theo had already appeared behind him again.

This time, shock rod landed, sending Qitian flying a couple feet. Although it landed, it didn't seem to do a significant amount of damage. "That was quite a technique!" Said Qitian.

Theo decided to step it up a notch. He spammed streak step to its full capacity. All Qitian could see was a blur of images. Theo was everywhere, behind him, in front, and even above. Before he knew it, he was getting hit by rods all over his body.

Theo was now pressuring Qitian to keep both of his hands up in an x formation to try and defend most of his body. "What in the world is this immense speed??" Said Qitian. 'It seems I will have to get serious as well, I wasn't expecting this at all.' He thought to himself.

Theo suddenly felt a burst of terrifying blood lust coming from Qitian. He felt like if he were to go in for another attack, his entire body would explode into pieces. "What is this? A skill?" Said Theo.

Qitian then stopped himself. "Ahh well... I guess you won." Said Qitian. Theo put his hands down. "What? You clearly had the advantage. My attacks were doing almost no damage to you and you hadn't even used one of your skills." Said Theo.

"It was fun fighting you, it seems that "It" chose right." Qitian said before leaving the room, leaving Theo confused. Theo then fell down on his bum. Although his stamina was infinite, he was still mentally exhausted from all of the concentration that barrage of streak steps took.

Theo decided to leave the training rooms for the day. He headed back to his room where he saw Leon. "I tried out the training rooms, it was quite fun." Said Theo. "Did you? What did you think of it?" Leon replied.

"Well it was pretty fun, a person also visited my room and fought me randomly. Although it was confusing, it was fun using my skills to fight him." Said Theo. Leon had a confused expression on his face.

"Someone came inside of your room? That's not possible. You need to train for at least a week before you can have contact with other people in the orb." Said Leon. Theo was quite confused by this. "What are you talking about? I definitely fought someone. Maybe they owned the system haha." Theo joked.

"Did he tell you what his name was?" Leon said, ignoring Theo's joke. "Yeah, he said it was something like Qitian Dasheng." Said Theo. Immediately, Leon stood up. Theo thought that he might have discovered something.

"Well, I got no clue who that is, wanna go for a stroll around the shops?" Leon asked as he left the room casually. "Huh? Well, sure I guess." Theo said as he quickly caught up to Leon. The two made their way to the shops. It was getting dark by this time.

In his first class, Theo didn't learn much, or rather, he didn't care to. However, what he did care enough to learn was the school currency. Credits, that was the name of the currency. Each student got a total of 10 credits at the start of the day. They looked like little metal coins and could be stored conveniently in a wristwatch.

Surprisingly, these credits could be traded for real currency as well. Each credit was equivalent to ten copper coins. In the real world, the currency was copper, silver, and gold. 100 copper made a silver coin and 100 silver's made a gold one. Having 10 credits was like having 1 silver coin, which was actually pretty amazing. Consider it to being around 100 dollars in the US.

Theo immediately started to think of ways he could get more credits. As he was in thought, they arrived to the marketplace. The sides of the stone roads were scattered with shops. Looking around a little bit, the two didn't really see anything they liked.

After an hour or so, they went inside of an armor store. normal armor made of human materials was quite weak, unless it was very strong like a rare metal. Instead, humans used armor made from the mana cores of different beasts.

The ones to wear this beast armor were mostly adventurers. Their entire career was to get these mana cores by clearing dungeons and caves. The thought of an adventurer excited Theo. As they started to look at all of the armor, they saw a couple of people in the store with them.

There were three of them. Two were blue mana cores and one was a green. The green one looked to be getting bullied by the other two, one of the blue's was grabbing the green mana potentialed student by the collar. "Hand over your credits you dork!" One of the blue mana core kids said.

"I just gave them to someone else! I don't have any!" The green core kid said. The one that was holding him by the collar let him go and threw him at the ground. As they started to leave the store, they noticed another green mana potencial student. That was Theo.
