50 50. Nowhere Is Safe

Hunter freed all their hands and stepped away, tossing a few sets of clothes towards them. He could see they had suffered plenty of abuse and wounds already, so he tried to give them their space to not earn a sudden response.

"I'm gonna cook some food with my friend here. You three can dress up and join us outside," Hunter said and backed a few steps away. "I'm leaving a few bottles of water. Help yourselves to it."

With that, Hunter retreated away from them.

"Wait, Sergeant Derek can't move," Amanda stopped him. "Do you have any medicine, potions, or pills? I'll compensate you for your help later."

"Let me check him first," Hunter said and walked back to them. Although the women were nervous, Hunter touched the curled-up man's shoulder. "He's got a fever,"

Hunter turned the man over to lay him flat. "He's got some flesh wounds too, likely an infection brewin'."

"Do you have anything to help him?" Amanda asked.
