56 Chapter 56: Starting To Network

After the smoke covering the street got blown away by a series of strong winds, everyone turned their attention to the figure hovering above.

"It's Wonder woman!" An excited observer cried, before turning his camera to snap a photo. This cause others to follow suit and begin taking pictures as well.

Wonderwoman ignored the attention being cast towards her and instead focused on scanning for survivors within the street. Immediately she spotted some, she burst forth and quickly rushed to rescue them.

She didn't pay mind to Arias or the man he was walking out of the site with since she thought they were victims who just got lucky and made it out.

With her on the scene, Arias no longer saw the point in putting up appearances and just remained back and watched.

Less than a minute later, just as she was saving the last of the survivors, paramedics arrived on the scene along with the police and other militia like personnel.

Not far behind them, journalists followed and immediately began reporting live from the scene.

Because it wasn't yet known what happened, the police only set up a barricade around the perimeter of the explosion, allowing the reporters free reign elsewhere.

Some rushed forward still to try and get the scope, whereas others turned their attention to Wonder-woman who just bringing the last survivors towards an ambulance.

The few paramedics present had to focus on gravely injured people so others were told to wait or go to a hospital if their wounds were only minor and they could still move.

This didn't sit well with some angered civilians who believed the rich and important were getting special treatment.

Well that much was obvious, even in such a situation, a hospital would prefer to house patients who were not only guaranteed to pay but also bring in publicity for it. That was just reality.

Arias had already arranged for some transport that was minutes away. He had done what he could on the scene, now he just needed to let the benefits present themselves, if any at all.

As he was waiting though, a crowd of reporters suddenly rushed in his direction and surrounded him, even going as far as to push Harley out of the way.

"Mr. Markovic? Mr. Markovic, over here please!"

"Mr. Markovic, Marriane Rodriguez here for channel 9 news, Can I ask you a few questions?"

"Mr. Markovic, is it true you single handedly saved many of the stranded individuals?"

"Mr…" One after another, each reporter fired their own barrage of questions towards Arias regarding his role.

Harley frowned at this and immediately tried to squeeze her way in, but to no avail. "Oie, can't ya see I was standing there you damn hyenas?"

Her words fell on deaf ears and the onslaught of questions carried on for Arias.

Reporters always craved juicy and unique stories. So when they heard some bystanders mention Arias's heroics, they jumped at the fact, leaving Wonderwoman after taking only a few photos.

After all, she already appeared in the news daily and many readers and viewers had already lost interest in the story about the Amazonian princess from a fantasy like land.

She also never gave much to the media so they had nothing to go except for day to day heroics, if any at all.

Wonderwoman, who was starting to grow accustomed to attention always being cast on her when she on a scene was surprised to see the reporters lose interest so quickly.

She watched as they flocked to Arias and got somewhat curious as to who he was and what he had done.

Before she could ask anyone about this, a jet black luxury sedan arrived further back from the scene and a man who looked to be in his mid to late twenties with blonde hair and strong features walked out sporting a formal military attire.

He quickly squeezed his way passed bystanders and reporters before calling out to Wonderwoman. "Diana! Come on we talked about this, you just can't rush out on your own every time you think help is needed. We're already late for your appointment now."

The man sighed and rubbed his temples as if he were talking to a disobedient child. Diana however didn't look the least bit regretful of her actions.

"A true warrior doesn't forsake those in need Steve Trevor, the meetings with your overweight leaders can always wait." Diana spoke with unparalleled bluntness as she puffed out her more than modest chest proudly and placed her hands on her hips.

The man named Trevor was the pilot who had landed on her island and introduced the outside world to her. Because of his familiarity with her, his government assigned the task of acting as Diana's guide and educator, a less than easy task.

"Diana please, watch what you say. If you speak like that at the upcoming Gala, you might very well start a war. Some leaders are very sensitive and easily offended."

What Trevor hoped would make her see some sense, instead made her brandish her sword and wave it in the air. "Then let them come, we warriors of Themyscira do not fear war!"

There was just no getting through to her.

This ongoing exchange between the two was currently being observed by a third party that was currently being attended to by paramedics at a heavily guarded ambulance, Queen Bee.

As she was being attended to by her own private medical personnel, she frowned at the childish Diana.

"When we return to Bialya, those rebels will pay for the humiliation they've cause me. As if that weren't bad enough, I had to be saved from death by that sorry excuse of royalty. Am I surrounded only by fools?!"

It was clear Queen Bee had a special dislike towards Wonder woman, largely centered around the fact that she was a Princess and a beauty that quickly received world wide attention. Whether out of jealously or sheer spite, Queen Bee hated her guts.

It was at that moment that one of the attendees spoke up in an attempt to ease her anger.

"My Queen, it wasn't her who saved you. According to witnesses, you were carried out by that man over there."

Queen Bee turned her head and looked in the direction of Arias, who was currently being left alone as the horde of reporters started rushing to the site of the explosion.

"Move."

With a wave of her hand, her guards cleared a path towards him and she strutted over, stopping only about a meter away before sizing him up and asking.

Before getting knocked unconscious, she knew they were multiple armed assailants so she was suspicious of how a normal looking man could save her.

"You're the one that saved me, correct? Tell me how you did it?" To unsuspecting eyes, despite the arrogance in her tone, there was nothing wrong with what she asked.

However, in reality, her pheromone ability was already at work. This ability allowed her to enthrall any man and sometimes woman as long as they found women even just a bit attractive.

For a split moment, Arias could feel a subtle desire bubbling to do her bidding, but it faded just as quickly as it came.

Having noticed it though, he frowned. "Shouldn't you be just grateful you didn't die a pitiful death?"

Arias replied with even greater arrogance, causing Queen Bee's loyal men to almost jump him. However they stopped the second she raised her hand, also now frowning towards Arias, before shifting to a mischievous smile.

Queen Bee noticed that her ability almost worked but completely failed in the next moment. This got her curiosity because they were few people, men especially, who could resist it.

She was smart enough to realize Arias wasn't normal. Without knowing the full extent of his capabilities, it would be foolish of her to antagonize.

Since he didn't let her die despite knowing who she was, there was a good chance that she had just encountered a possible ally.

"Excuse my rudeness, I should be thanking my savior and properly introducing myself. As you may already know, I am Queen Bee, ruler of greater Bialya and perhaps the world someday."

Her tone lost its arrogance but she still sounded very much like a proud and self-centered Queen. This change though was a clear sign of her showing openness towards him for further interaction between the two.

He also put aside his frown and exchanged a greeting as he stretched out his hand to meet her extended one as well before matching her arrogance.

"You're excused. I'm Arias Markovic, your God."

A/N: I already stated before that I won't just be throwing in characters whenever its time for Mc to bone or kill them. I'm trying to build a somewhat at least functioning verse with buildup leading up to events.

With that said if you're going to bitch about every action mc does expecting it all to be all for benefits, then leave now and quit bitching. I'm not about to go the complete one-dimensional op mc that's fun for a few chapters then becomes harem building slice of life.

If we're talking gains then everyone would become irrelevant when gets omniversal, what benefits are there in killing ants? Why seduce or manipulate women when you can make em? Why bother even interacting with low level beings?

If that's the route y'all prefer then lemme me know and the fic will end in 10-15 chaps max. Opinions are welcome, but bitching like you're entitled isn't. I really don't care enough to meet demands as if you pay me for this shit. This is why dudes go patreon only I swear.
