261 Chapter 256: The Markovia Situation Part 3

Upon hearing the unfamiliar voice, Tara turned her head immediately to look behind her, and there she saw an unfamiliar figure. It was the figure of a tall woman with light brown skin, light brown eyes, and a nearly bald head, except for the long, thick ponytail that extended past her waist.

Another notable feature was the two scars she had on her face: a longer one from her forehead that extended to her left cheek and a shorter one across her lips.

Tara's instincts kicked in, and she nearly began to attack, but the unknown figure flashed forward and grabbed Tara by the scruff of her neck with immense strength. The figure then demanded, "Tell me where you hold my father, or I'll snap your neck child," she threatened.

This threat completely took Tara by surprise, as she couldn't think of anyone who fit that strange description. So, while fighting for breath, she muttered out, "Who?"

The woman holding Tara by the neck frowned but answered in an urgent tone, "In this time, you mortals call him Vandal Savage."

Hearing the name, it finally clicked to Tara. She, of course, knew of Vandal Savage's defeat within the walls of her previous castle. But she couldn't have ever predicted this.

As for Vandal's remains, they had been removed to a lab for further study, as even in the near obliterated state, Vandal Savage's body showed signs of regenerating, although at a slow pace.

Remembering that, Tara, wishing to preserve her life, answered immediately, "He's not here. He's been moved to a lab."

"Where?" the woman demanded.

To which Tara quickly responded, "Markov Royal Laboratories."

When she said this, the woman loosened her grip and allowed Tara to fall to the ground, hurriedly gasping for breath.

Meanwhile, the unknown figure puffed her chest out and showed as she declared, "We shall meet again."

Having said that, the figure flashed through the window and disappeared into the skies.

Tara, gasping for breath, watched the unknown figure leave while showing an incredibly angry expression.

However, she knew this had to be reported immediately, so she quickly stood up, got to her desk, and reached for her phone, aiming to contact Mercy, who would in turn

inform Arias.

However, this wasn't where the troubles for Markovia ended, because just a few hours later, Tara would receive a report that an unknown entity completely destroyed four of their naval fleets along with weapons caches.

By the time the footage and reports reached Arias, he could immediately recognize that it was Klarion, the most unpredictable member of the Light.

When he got the news, Arias was in the middle of nowhere, a highland forest to be exact, isolated from the modern world. He stood on a cliff and overlooked a valley where a facility of sorts stood out like a sore thumb.

Beside him, sitting on a nearby log, was Raven, who had a stick in hand as she casually drew on the ground.

Upon hearing the report, Arias was, of course, none too pleased. After all, with how unpredictable Klarion was, it was especially hard for Arias to deal with them using tactical means, leaving only a hostile approach.

And as for the matter regarding Vandal Savage, Arias didn't really put it to mind.

Having showcased his difference in power towards Vandal, he was sure that he wouldn't be bothered by him in a short time, which meant only Klarion was the problem.

With that in mind, Arias quickly cut the call he was on with Mercy and let out a sigh.

Seeing Arias finally done with his call, Raven turned her head toward him and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Arias replied, "Honestly, many things, but nothing that can't be dealt with. So don't worry about that, and let's focus on the matter at hand." Stating this, Raven stood up from the log and approached the cliff, directing her gaze forward to the vast compound that lay hidden in the highland forests.

She couldn't help but ask, "What are we doing here? Do they have something important to you?"

Arias also kept his gaze on the compound but shook his head and chuckled. "No, not important for me, but important for you."

Raven was a bit confused by this and asked, "What do you mean?"

But before she could get her answer, a familiar voice resonated from the forest behind them. "It means exactly what it means. It will be helpful to you."

Slade's figure emerged from the forest nonchalantly, with a cigarette in his mouth and oddly enough, a glass of whiskey in his other hand, despite being fully geared for an operation.

Raven was confused by the sight, but Arias only turned to look at Slade casually as Slade approached, saying, "Here boss," as he handed over the glass of whiskey to Arias, who retrieved it and nodded before further adding to what Slade had said.

"I had initially thought Dr. June would've been helpful in assisting your growth, but Enchantress is proving to be far more difficult to deal with than I first thought. And with so much to do, we can't afford to waste time. So, we're going to find someone else to teach you."

Raven understood what was being said but was still genuinely confused as to who they were talking about and how exactly she would be beneficial to Raven.

To answer this question, Slade took out a folder and handed it to Raven.

Upon opening it, she saw a small photo of a pale-skinned woman with long purple hair and nearly hollow blue eyes, with the alias reading,

"Tala."
