2 End of civilization (1){+}

Nexus was now more confused of his situation, instead of going to heaven or hell, he was actually transported to space overlooking his home planet Terra.

Questions flooded his mind, and he began to feel overwhelmed. Taking a deep breath, he decided to calm down and compose himself.

After a few breathes he finally started to compose himself and think about the situation, he should observe the planet for now and try to figure things out before coming into a conclusion.

"There's not much I can do other than investigate the planet right now," he thought.

And so, Nexus observed Terra, attempting to identify any familiar landmarks. However, his view from space made it challenging to recognize any signs of civilization.

"This isn't working. I'm too far away to see any resemblance of civilization," he muttered in frustration.

Attempting to get a closer look, Nexus realized that he can't seem to move no matter how much he tried.

Using all his Force Nexus managed forcibly move his body by an inch, but the effort was accompanied by a massive headache.

"Arghhhhh!!" He yelled, Pain evident in his voice, as he clutch his Head

After a few excruciating seconds, the pain subsided, although it was just a few seconds but to him it felt like eternity.

Nexus stopped any attempt of moving any closer after experiencing the pain that comes with it, proceeding any further would just hurt him more, it might even kill him.

"I should just focus observing for now" he decided.

The memory of the pain still fresh in his mind, if he where to describe it, it felt like millions of ants was eating his brain.

As he was observing Terra nexus suddenly felt a strange tingling sensation coming from his head, curious he close his eyes to better focus on the weird feeling.

As he focus on it he can feel an electric pulse in his head or more specifically his brain, As he delved deeper into the sensation, he felt himself able to manipulate it.

"Am i able control it with my mind?" He wondered with intrigued

Testing his hypothesis, Nexus focused his thoughts on controlling the sensation and to his surprised it actually work.

Nexus was ecstatic that he was actually able to control it, Although only for a bit since he lost focus losing his control in the process, still it was a success even if he doesn't know what it is and what he can do with it,

"I'm not sure yet, but it could be something useful," he thought optimistically.

With nothing else to do, Nexus decided to focus solely on exploring the strange sensation.

Closing his eyes and focusing on the tingling sensation in his head once again, nexus was determined to understand it better.

As he focus he could feel that it seems to be controlling it slightly better than before.

He tried moving it in his mind to see how long he can control it.

After just seconds he lost control of it.

"so i can only control it for two seconds at most" he noted, scratching his chin thoughtfully.

Nexus Continued to control it, aiming to last longer than before.

Yet again nexus tried moving it over and over again, his control lasting even longer than before.

Time seems to fly by as he continued on.

After what seems like days Nexus finally stopped, satisfied with his results as now he was able to control the weird sensation for 20 seconds.

He was now 10 times better than before when it comes to controlling the weird sensation, but he still wasn't able to find any use for it.

He tried everything he can thought off but it was all unable to bring forth it's use.

Nexus was thinking of giving up at this point seeing that everything he did was useless.

"Maybe i should give up for now" he muttered.

As he pondered what to do next, thinking bout his current state when suddenly a thought struck him.

Remembering the knowledge of souls in his previous Life, he realized that his seems to different.

Unlike the depictions he saw with souls having some sort of energy flowing through their bodies he seems to have none of those as his was completely barren.

Except for his head which has a circle metal of sort golden in color and emitting some sort of golden Gas or plasma.

And then it struck him, "of course how could i be soo stupid" he exclaimed, his voice filled with realization.

All this Time he was still claiming on to science not realizing that it's the reason why he couldn't make use of the weird sensation in his mind.

He was simply using science to test it out instead of using method's regarding the souls.

"Now that i think about it wasn't i just meditating when I controlled it" he muttered

Face with the realization nexus decided to change his mindset, he was now a soul something that is completely unscientific and such he shouldn't use science to deal with his situation.

Gathering all the knowledge he has about the souls from his previous Life, nexus was determined to make of the weird sensation

As far as he can remember Souls have core's which is probably whats in his Head.

The core's are believe to be responsible for producing soul energy which is probably what that weird tingling sensation in His mind, and the soul energy is responsible for maintaining the soul.

So considering that his is currently empty right now he should try to fill his body up with Soul energy by meditating.

Currently he can only control the soul energy within him for 20 seconds at most but the problem is this doesn't actually mean his making more of it.

All he did was control it not multiply it, according to his knowledge souls should have many Soul energy flowing through them constantly yet his is barren.

Nexus was unable to understand, "shouldn't meditation help improve the soul not control it" He muttered,

Seeing that there's nothing he could do about it, for now he decided to meditate hoping to see if his soul energy actually grows.

Days seems to passed and nexus Continued on meditating.

There was still no Change in his soul energy but he was able to control longer than before.

Undeterred by the lack of progress regarding soul energy nexus Continued on meditating.

After what seems Months there was still no changes in his soul energy, it was still the same and yet again his control was better than before.

Nexus still Continued meditating determine to not stop until something comes up.

A year passed by in a instant and finally There was something happening.

Nexus soul energy finally grew, now completely filling his head giving him a sense of refreshment as his mind seems clearer than before.

"Whoa my memories seems to be more clearer now" he muttered, a tinge of awe and shock can be heard.

Nexus was thrilled by the development as his year long meditation was worth it.

Now with his Head more lighter than before nexus was eager to meditate once again, wanting to completely fill his entire body with soul energy.

"Now that i have more Soul power it should way more easier in the long run" he thought, excited by the premise.

And so nexus Continued on meditating.

Months quickly passed by, but the expect development that nexus hope didn't happen.

He wasn't gaining any soul power at all, And all he was getting from his meditation was still better control of his soul energy.

"This was unexpected but it's still okay, maybe it takes longer everytime i get Soul power" he muttered.

Deciding to be optimistic about the situation nexus pressed on and Continued meditating.

After a year there was still no development in his soul power but nexus still Continued, going by his thoughts that it may take longer than before.

One and a half years have passed there was still no changes amd nexus Continued meditating.

Its been two years and finally his soul power grew again, filling his entire torso, giving him a sense of refreshment once again.

His body was even more lighter now, his breathing was also better than before as the air seems more fresher.

It's unclear how he can breathe or even breath consider that his a Soul and his in space right now but there's no need to question it

"Although my brain is gone it's habits breathing and blinking is still precent even after death" he thought.

Feelings the changes, Nexus was happy but at the same time Unhappy.

In his observation over the years he was a bit confused, because all throughout the years of his meditation not once did he gain any soul power even a tiny amount.

And only when a year or two has passed he will suddenly gets it, he was starting to see a pattern.

"What if I don't actually Gain Soul power from meditating but instead with amount of Time i spent living as a Soul"

"Although this doesn't really make sense but then again does any of this make sense at all" he thought

All he ever got from his meditation was better control of his soul power.

"Maybe my knowledge was wrong about the soul" he muttered

With all this thought going through his mind, nexus decided to calm down a bit just relax for now, what matters is that his improving and that's all.

Opening his eyes, he could see that he was still at the planet.

"Thankfully i didn't float away" he muttered, relief precent in his voice

Looking at the planet he suddenly realized that he can see way better now, infact he can even zoom in.

Unlike before when all he can see was only the continents and Sea.

As he was observing he finally saw what he was looking for, "Civilization!" He exclaim.

Looking at the giant buildings and vehicle's moving about this was a city, nexus can't help but feel excited.

"Although i may not be able to move right but soon i might be able to" he muttered excitement can be heard in his voice.

As his mind imagine many scenarios regarding his return, even when his dead right merely a soul right now he was still excited about this Discovery.

He was a soul now something that is believe to be impossible to be true, just imagine the possibility what might happen if it's proven to be true

Although the problem with how to prove such matter is a bit tricky, but as a former administrator of the most important scientific facility of the entirety of Terra he was sure to make it happened.

"I can't wait to be ba-"

"Aghhhh, get away from me!"

"Help!!!"

"Run!!, Their coming!"

Nexus daydream was suddenly stopped by the screams of people running for their lifes

Shock he looked at the city where the scream was and he was shock to see people getting chase by what seems to be other people.

Two men suddenly jump on one of the women who was running and bite her neck, killing her.

A few seconds later she suddenly stand up and joined the crowd in chasing people.

Looking at the situation below he can't help but exclaim

"What in the actual fu-"
