It’s not that good, it gets really repetitive later on and boring, but if you have nothing else to read give it a try. Some of the characters are copy and paste without much development same with the main character he’s really boring and just chases after women.

I like the personality of the MC. It's something new for me but i absolutely hate what the Author did to Di Yalan. I just can't forgive him!

A review up to chapter 40. So take everything with a grain of salt. Pro’s: Great characters and dialogue Fight scenes are well written I laughed so hard a number of times. Story moves at great pace. Continuously discover more about the MC over time. Con’s: The Cultivation System in my opinion is not very good. Having 3 seperate levels for each part of your cultivation makes it harder to understand where exactly each character is in the power structure. And harder to remember the ordering of the power levels for each one. (Generic for no spoilers) The MC’s special thing, while unique, is too strong. There’s less tension in a lot of cases than there should be. Doesn’t feel like he earns it. Skills are too easy to learn. I could be wrong but it felt like to me every character who reads a book learns skills instantly if they are at the appropriate power level. Conclusion: 4.6 stars If your looking for a novel with good character development, comedy, and dialouge, this will be great for you. If you focus more on systems, power scaling, etc, then you probably won’t like it.

This novel shouldn't be title God of slaughter instead God of Wuss, at first yup he slaughtwrs but later on he didn't even kill the one that trying to kill his family, he forgive people who try to kill him or try to kill his family, or sometimw he just promise to himself to hunt down that person but in reality he never did. Im done with this one.

I love this book mc is a savage the translator did a good job no matter what because we are still able to read and experience a very great book in my opinion and im hooked havent been able to stop reading.

This book is like standing on top of a hill then tripping and falling down the hill until you reach the bottom and crack your head open on a rock. Start was incredibly good but then every arc was the exact same general plot and would have at least 3 romantic interests which when you reached the end there was about 40 thirsty girls that he has some sort of relationship and even the author was struggling to name them. It makes you wish that the MC would just pick a few and the rest just dying or something

This novel looked like it has some promise, but I can already tell after only 122 chapters that it will be a monotonous story. At the start of the story our MC meets many interesting characters and forms various kinds of relationships with them (acquaintances, enemies, lovers, family... but no friends). The MC shows signs of having some feelings for other people at a point, but quickly buries it and is just simply detached after that. Because of his unique and secret mortal spirit, he has no real challenges to overcome in order to become stronger and we don't see any development of his character (emotionally). I feel like the trick to writing good stories with OP protagonists is giving them interesting and relatable companions who are not so OP ("It's Not Easy to Be a Man After Travelling to the Future" is a good example of that). However, in God of Slaughter, those who could be potential companions are simply tossed aside and soon to be forgotten. Take Di Yalan and Mu Yu Die, for example. These 2 girls had some potential as characters. They felt far more rounded and developed as characters than our MC and I was hoping the interaction between all of them could help give the story some weight. Di Yalan in particular started our as a powerful, independent, somewhat more mature woman who was not ashamed of her sexuality... sounds great! What happens with her? She develops a crush on our MC just so that our MC can crush her feelings and show how stone hearted he is. The character of Di Yalan didn't fall in love all on her own... the author made a choice to develop her character like that and he did so with a purpose. I was hoping (since he decided to take that route) that she would become an able companion of our MC who keeps up with his power increases through their dual cultivation. But alas, she was only developed as a character in order to be a stepping stone for our MC who is the sole focus of the story without any companions. Mu Yu Die is also developed nicely as a character. She starts out as the more virtuous, innocent and kind hearted girl (a nice contrast to Di Yalan). She even has some good character development as she becomes more self assured and makes some difficult decisions to follow what she sees as the best path available to her. We, as readers, know that she is making mistakes, but she couldn't know that with her character knowledge and I felt like that was good. It gave us opportunities for more developments later on. However, the author doesn't take those opportunities. Instead, he uses her to debase herself and shamelessly humiliate herself before our MC so that he can reject her. Her character, once again, was only there to give our MC someone to put down in order to lift himself up. Mo Yanyu, is another example I could talk about. She has an interesting character. She is a beautiful woman in a world where might makes right. Even her allies are constantly lusting after her and she can only survive by dominating those around her. When our MC runs into her, he leers at her like he would any normal girl on Earth (because normally girls are powerless to fight back against him). Mo Yanyu, give our MC a rude awakening as she shows him that he can't get away with it in this world. Does our MC learn a lesson from that? Nope, he hardens his heart and doubles down by molesting her every time he gets the chance. Alright... so our MC is a bastard. We can work with that... you have to start somewhere and Mo Yanyu could be a good catalyst for MC to learn many lessons and develop as a character. So, what happens to her? I won't spoil it, but it's nothing pretty and I can say for sure that our MC didn't learn anything from his interactions with her. I just felt like there was no payoff there. I could go on an on. Every character who has potential for interesting development is built up just enough to give our MC a boost and then dismissed. I would say this is rather typical of Wuxia novels and the reason why the majority of them are boring af. I had some hope for this one, but I think I will give up now before I waste too much money on it.

This webnovel or light novel as you would call it has something I have been really looking for in books to read.... Hint of excitement and goosebumps has been ensured for me
