Pisces And Douglas.

Slowly and steadily, Devon reached the checkpoint which marked the end of his quest. He was surprisingly not sweating as he had estimated but he felt insanely tired. He wanted to rest but he couldn't as he only had 30 minutes to get to school.

"If I can't stop, then I will continue. Besides, there's no harm in getting to school early." Devon said to himself and adjusted his backpack.

"Huh! Huh! I think I got here pretty fast. Huh!" Devon said to himself as he doubled over. He was out of breath but luckily he had reached school with five minutes to spare. As an awakened, it wasn't any kind of achievement but if one was to know he had awakened not so long ago and he didn't even know how to use his power but was able to achieve this feat with just raw power, they would question their talent. As he continued to catch his breath, a blue ball flew towards him. He didn't notice it but had a gut feeling that something bad was headed towards him. He quickly moved forward and rolled out of the way. An explosion rang out as the ball blew up. Ice started spreading around the place, the most abundant part heading towards Devon. Devon was still trying to catch his breath but he was left with no space to do so. He turned swiftly in the direction of the ice and focused on blocking it. He didn't know what he was doing or why but he had this feeling that he could block it. Blue runes appeared on his face forming a serpent-faced tattoo on his face which glowed in mysterious blue light. An invisible barrier appeared in front of him and blocked the ice from reaching him. Even with that, he almost expended the last of his energy as he was too weak for the ice balls. As he was on the verge of breaking down, the ice slowly withdrew, turned into a snowflake and disappeared. He was left panting like crazy. Who in the hell will want to kill him? As he was still contemplating on what had happened, a girl about 19 years approached him. She walked with grace and poise, her bluish white hair flying behind her. She was a beauty with skin as white as snow, small red lips and the perfect round face. Her goddess like form was nearly as perfect as Leila's coupled with the slightly big chest, probably B+ cups in that jacket. She wore a red jacket with white puppy designs in it, white tight jeans and black boots setting off her breathtaking appearance.

"Hey handsome. Sorry for the trouble I caused just now, I was trying out my new skill. By the way, I'm Pisces, one of the Zodiacs and you are?" The girl asked in one breath. "Huh! I'm Dev…Devon Smith, a newly awakened and thanks for trying to kill me!" "What? A newly awakened and you are this strong? Don't you dare lie!" "Lie? I just woke up from coma, only to get killed by a Zodiac. How does that sound to you?! And you say I'm lying?" "Such cockiness but I still don't believe you. You were able to stop my new skill, which should be at level 3 by now and you tell me this?" "If you don't believe me, you can go to the principal to see my info. Sorry but I have better things to do." Devon said and turned around to leave. He was limping slightly and still panting. The serpent tattoo was no longer on his face.

"Stop right there! You dare talk to a Zodiac like that?! I challenge you to a duel. You have a month to prepare!" A familiar male voice sounded. It belonged to Douglas Anderson, one of the Tyrants of the academy. He looked like the male version of Pisces, only with short, bowl cut blue hair. He wore a white shirt and black trousers with boots.

"Brother and sister? Pfft. A Zodiac like you is nothing in my eyes. You are even one of the weak Zodiacs and you want me to kneel or what…such impudence and stupidity!" Devon spat and turned away. All those around looked at him like a fool. He dared to anger a Zodiac and a Tyrant. But Devon wasn't shaken. In fact he was rejoicing. Douglas made a huge mistake by initiating a duel and giving him a month to prepare. This would be impossible for a newly awakened but who was Devon? A Smith and one with an almighty system. He didn't know why he trusted the system with this just after a day of meeting but he knew in his heart, it was possible. A month was enough to grow strong and beat the shit out of that stupid Anderson dog called Douglas. As he was going, he got a notification but he left for later.

"Hey! Will you get up?! We have gym class now. What did you actually do yesternight? I don't think you did what I'm thinking." Miles kicked Devon off the desk. "Hey chill! It's not what you are thinking. I just did some workouts and I feel a bit tired. Let's get going and stop thinking that. I'm still pure." "Pure my ass!"

They hurriedly followed the rest of the class to the changing rooms, changed into their P.E uniforms: red shorts and a white round neck shirt and strolled to the gym. The P.E uniforms were most exposing on the girls as it revealed almost everything; cup sizes, butt shapes and so on. Today, they were training on their own so Devon decided to complete most of his quests there. The gym was very spacious with enough room for them to whatever they liked. Affinity usage was banned in there so they were limited to only martial arts and raw power. Devon and Miles found a good spot behind the girls and proceeded to their things.
