1 Mercury and the wood cutter

Once upon a time there live a farmer in boko village, his name is Femi he was a poor man, he was tall and handsome and very hardworking.

One day the Femi decided to go into the bush near a river to cutter some woods to sell, on the process the axe slipped off his hand and fell into the river, he started crying. Then God mercury appeared ask him why are u crying then he to him everything, so god mercury went into the river and brought out a golden axe and he said to him, is this yours? He replied No it's not my so god mercury went into the river again and brought out a wooden axe and he said to him is these yours? He replied yes it's mine. So the goddess give him the axe and gave him the silver axe. This made the farmer happy which made him to tell his friends.

One of his friend was jealous, so he decided to go to the river and cut wood and throwing the axe into the river knowing pretending that he was crying. God Mercury came out of the river and say why are you crying he said my axe fell into the river, so god Mercury went into the river and brought out a golden axe and said is this yours he replied yes it is, so this made God make me angry he said you are arrogant this is not yours he went into the river are refused to bring his acts to him, I went home crying.

Now the wood cutter's friend went home empty and sad😞😞.
