100 «Memoirs of the Talisman Emperor»

As a True Spirit Realm elder, Hai Yun Master's time was precious and he only left some arrangements to Quan Chen.

Quan Chen was delegated with the duty of acting as the escort of both Zhao Wei and Bei Moi.

By the end of the day, the two new inner disciples became familiar with all establishments and divisions in the sect.

The orientation was truly worth it or else they would have risked getting lost every now and then.

The geography of the Broken Moon Sect was unbelievable. (Author's Note: It's been bothering me for quite some time now so I decided to change the name from Broken Moon Clan to Broken Moon Sect.)

Throughout the physical orientation, Zhao Wei also noticed that Inner disciples received different treatment in the sect.

It was so obvious as seen by how the outer disciples looked so pitiful and the environment was kind of chaotic but due to the presence of a high order of power like outer sect elders, there was some sense of governance and balance.

Zhao Wei felt that he would have thrived abnormally well in such a place that resembled a crude example of a mini-jungle.

It would have been a hassle though, to deal with the low-level bullies and trash.

A sigh left Zhao Wei's mouth as he slowly walked toward the Outer Sect Division's scripture repository.

He currently had his own top-class private courtyard with servants and all, courtesy of Hai Yun Master's influence.

Also, due to being an Inner Disciple, especially one with an elder behind him, he could easily get himself Middle-Class Mortal Skills from the highly protected Hollow Building if so he wished. Currently, he was limited to one Middle-Class Mortal Skill, and with Hai Yun Master's influence, he could get another one.

Just how much privilege did he have?

Of course, some individuals would have been super excited by the prospect of new, better, high-level techniques but Zhao Wei didn't put much emphasis on them.

High-level techniques were good and all but he had already read about the most ridiculous cultivation techniques in existence as a reader.

Zhao Wei wouldn't push away even the lowest level Mortal Skill. Be it a Mortal, Spiritual, Earth, or Heaven tier technique, he treated all of them the same.

As a seeker of knowledge, his intentions had a deeper meaning as he sought after the Outer Sect's Scripture Repository.

He treated himself as an inadequate learner and the knowledge that he currently had was laughable.

The Outer Sect's Scripture Repository was a free resource center and Zhao Wei would feel regrets if he ignored it.

As he approached the Scripture Repository, Zhao Wei was met with gazes of surprise, curiosity, and interest from some of the female disciples.

Who could really blame him when he looked so damn attractive like some Heavenly Emperor from the Ninth Heaven or all charming like Senior White?

Being a beautiful existence was an inevitability when one pursued the Great Path of Cultivation but this notion was more in tune with women than men.

Zhao Wei had just broken the matrix in advance.

Ignoring the attention he was attracting as both an Inner Disciple and a force of masculinity, Zhao Wei silently walked into the building.

The smell of wood and paper was strong in the air, more accurately, it was the smell of knowledge.

In his eyes, there were many rows of extremely tall shelves that stretched far and wide.

Almost limitless books were stacked inside the shelves, showcasing the richness of the Broken Moon Sect.

The Scripture Repository was just a mirror of the deep foundation of the Broken Moon Sect.

Zhao Wei was amazed since it was larger and more stocked than the libraries at both Guanjun Palace and Zhao Clan.

"As expected." A low murmur came from him as he casually ran his fingers through rows of books.

He had already singled out every other existence from his vision. His entire concentration was held by only books.

Zhao Wei decided to start with the Miscellaneous Section.

The first book that graced his hands was centered on the anatomy and metaphysical aspects of the cultivator's physique.

It was titled «Introduction to Spiritual Anatomy» and it mostly talked about the cultivator's Dantian, meridians, and, mental consciousness. There was even a clean, precise diagrammatic representation of the inner body.

Zhao Wei enjoyed the simple process of learning despite being a transmigrator with such basic foundational knowledge.

The next books «Guide to Acupuncture Needle Skills» and «Journal of Medical Arts» comprehensively expounded on a few medical techniques especially the numerous hidden acupoints found in a cultivator's body.

The base acupoints he had opened so far due to practicing the «Primordial Stellar Energy Body Refining Technique» were around 108 in total but the two books theorized that there were more than 351 hidden acupoints.

It was a truly fascinating concept as the books had been revised with the passage of time.

'The universe would never lack innovators and thinkers in its history. These geniuses I can only admire them.' Zhao Wei thought as he skimmed through a few more miscellaneous books.

«How to Cook Heavenly Dishes 101», «Knowledge of Heavenly Treasures and Earthly Materials», «Basic Medical Pills Encyclopedia», «Insights of a Diligent Painter»… The list was so long and Zhao Wei discarded whatever he considered useless.

Due to the effects of his accelerated thinking process, he could easily surf through hundreds of books in a matter of minutes and sieve out the unneeded knowledge.

'«Memoirs of the Talisman Emperor», what type of drug did the writer sniff to write such a masterpiece?' Zhao Wei unknowingly shook his head as he recalled the contents of the said book.

It talked about the Talisman Emperor in his initial days as a crippled young man with a childhood sweetheart that soon betrayed him. A bunch of misfortunes followed him through his early life but soon, he awakened his memories when he had been a Supreme Emperor of Heaven.

«The Memoirs of the Talisman Emperor» was a crack story and had no relation to the novel «Talisman Emperor» Zhao Wei had read in his past life. The beginning made them share some similarities though, just like many other Xianxia-themed stories.

Putting that aside, Zhao Wei continued to casually read through techniques in the scripture repository.

When three hours passed, he had already memorized all the low-tier Mortal Skills which numbered tens of thousands.

The books were so many that it gave people the illusion that they were virtually limitless.

Well, Zhao Wei's peculiar actions had been witnessed by many and they thought that he was insane and greedy.

Didn't he know that if he was too greedy he would suffer from indigestion?

All in all, Zhao Wei didn't care as long as no one disturbed his peace. His identity as an inner disciple also served as a special deterrence against busybodies.

There was no reason for some unnecessary session of face-slapping.

Anyway, after Zhao Wei got whatever he wanted, he walked back to his residence as if he owned the damned place.
