1 Prologue (Edited)

"Hey John, you had an excellent performance today!"

"Why not join a tournament? I'm sure you're going to win there!"

"No matter how skilled I am, I have no reason to join a tournament. I only do this martial art because I like to do it."

Shocked but understanding, the other guy responded, "I see. So no matter how hard I try to convince you to join the Kali tournament, it's kind of useless. But I won't force you. No matter what, Kuya Bren here will still support you."

"Thank you, Kuya Bren," John replied with a grateful tone.

"Hey John, heading home? Want to go to the computer cafe before we go home?" Bren asked, but John said "No," leaving Bren disappointed.

"Too bad. Okay, see you tomorrow. Also, stop listening to that 711 song for hours. I've heard it so many times, and it's annoying!"

John didn't care and walked away.

*********

While John was walking in the middle of the night, a group of armed individuals emerged from somewhere. John suddenly stopped walking and observed. Some of them were equipped with knives, while others had bats. John's observation was interrupted when one of the armed individuals spoke.

"Hey, you! Give me all your money, or else we're gonna kill you!"

John responded, "Kill me? Why should you guys kill me? Any reason?"

The one who spoke angrily asked, "Just give me all your money or anything. Are you dumb?"

John replied, "Noisy. Why not go and find a meaningful job instead of this?"

The armed group rushed toward John, but he didn't seem shocked.

"They're serious? They look like dogs in the street."

John reached for his Kali stick, but then he realized something.

"Oh, I forgot I don't have my own Kali stick. Well, it doesn't matter."

One of the armed guys swung his bat and said, "Die, motherfucker!"

Unfazed, John kicked his head as if it were nothing. As the others approached, they noticed that John was smiling. John aggressively approached each of them, kicking their heads, livers, and bellies effortlessly. One of the guys spoke, shaking.

"He's just toying with us. I've never seen such a fighting style or martial art like that."

Suddenly, a mysterious person spoke, "It's not about martial art; it's about the person. Haven't you ever seen taekwondo in your life?"

The person was shocked as he saw who the speaker was. "Boss! Why are you here?"

The boss replied, "You're too noisy, calling for backup over a child. I'm here out of curiosity, but it seems it was very much worth it."

The person said, "Yes, boss. We can't even land a slash on his body. He's too fast and flexible."

The boss smirked and said, "Of course. It seems this guy is skilled. From my perspective, he's learned not only taekwondo but possibly capoeira as well."

"But it doesn't matter. I'm going to handle this. Retreat for now. I'll make it fast and dirty. *Smirk*"

John notice a presence coming toward at him.

Boss spoke, "Well, well, we have a little skilled warrior in here. What's your name, son?"

"It doesn't matter, mister. Why should I give my name to someone who wants to kill me?" John said.

The boss chuckled, "Hahaha! You're right, I guess. But it's too disrespectful to talk like that to someone much older than you." *Intent*

John smirked, "Too noisy, old man. We should finish this now; my home is still far away."

The boss agreed, "I guess you're right. Come at me then!"

John and the boss clashed their attacks. As John attacked, the boss smiled and quickly pushed John away using a kick.

"Don't be cocky, son. I was a mixed martial artist before I became a thug boss."

John responded, "You're not my father, so stop calling me son, old man..." *Calm*

The boss laughed as John stopped attacking.

"Okay, if that's what you want, child." *Smirk*

John aggressively attacked the boss, but the boss didn't seem serious, just avoiding John's attacks. Suddenly, a phone call interrupted their fight. The boss answered it.

"What is it? You're interrupting my errand."

Someone spoke, "Boss, the police are coming in the direction where you are. It seems someone noticed."

The boss looked annoyed, "Tsk, there are still people awake at this time? I guess we're done here."

John asked, "Finally, can I go home now?"

The boss smirked and said, "No, we can't leave any witnesses here. But you can go now, hehehe."

John was relieved, "Finally, I can go~~..."

A gunshot rang out. The boss shot a bullet at John's head. "You can go now, to heaven, child," the boss spoke.

The boss spoke with a hint of disappointment. "Sorry, child, but we can't leave you alive. Thanks to you, I'm having time for the first time in 20 years."

"Let's go, boys. We're going home..."

And yep, that's how I die. I'm John, a high school student who takes Kali classes every Saturday and Sunday. I enjoy practicing martial arts. The fact that I've learned four martial arts due to my boredom — well, happiness is the priority, as they say. So why are my grades lacking? At least I'm happy. But thanks to an asshole old man and his stray dog, my fate changes. And why? Okay, let's continue.

*********

John's fate changed with just one bullet on a lonely night, lying on the road covered in his own blood. Suddenly, his life took a drastic turn as he woke up in a space-like dimension. Curious, he asked, "What the hell is this? It seems like an anime thing to me..." in a calm tone.

A person spoke, "Well hello there, John. I'm glad I finally see you in person."

John squinted to get a better view as the mysterious space entity continued, "I see, you have astigmatism, so I was right, hahaha..."

The entity used magic, and John's astigmatism vanished like a bubble.

Questioning, John asked, "Are you a god or something, miss?" The entity replied, "I might be a god. Yes, I am kind of a god, but I don't want to be a god like that and like that..."

Noticing John's confusion, the entity apologized, "Sorry, you look confused. Yes, I'm a god, the god of the omniverse. Some call me the god of the system. I can't be sure I'm omniverse level tier either."

John glared at the god, questioning, "So you are beyond other gods? That means you are the creator."

The god clarified, "I didn't say I'm the creator of all. Maybe I'm stronger than others, but I'm not the creator. However, I can make anything for sure."

Confused, John asked, "What is your name anyway? Also, why me?" in a calm tone.

The god replied, "I don't have any name. As for why you're here, it's because I chose you," with a happy demeanor.

John sighed, "Okay, I'm gonna name you Nomi. Is that okay? Also, why me?."

Nomi spoke, "I like the name!, Also, why did I choose you? Because you are handsome, hehe, skilled, and kinda calm..."

John spoke calmly, "So it's kinda wife hunting, is it?"

Nomi blushed as she said, "You're wrong. I chose you because I want you to become my companion."

John asked, "Companion? You don't have any companion even though you can make anything?"

Nomi saw an expression of sadness and replied, "No, I can make anything except for a living thing. I can create weapons, power, worlds, but not a living thing. That's another god's work, though."

John was shocked, "There is another god with the authority to make anything?"

Nomi explained, "Yes, but you are the only person I see as unique among humans, from the galaxy called Milky Way. So I chose you. I can only have one companion, but I'm glad I picked a unique one. I never thought there was such an person away from here."

John responded, "I'm going to accept it. I'm dead anyway. I can't refuse anything if I'm dead. Maybe heaven..."

Nomi smiled, "Yey! I have a unique companion now! Then I should give you another life, then?"

John was confused, "Another life?" Nomi replied, "Yes, another life. It's possible to reincarnate you somewhere..."

********

After a moment of searching, Nomi found a universe perfect for Argus to be reincarnated. "I found it! It's called the Astral Universe. This universe seems to focus on swordsmanship and magic, and there are many unique aspects. It's better for you to find out yourself!"

"So you're going to reincarnate me there? It seems that place is more chaotic than my planet."

Nomi spoke, "It may be, but at least it's much better. The environment feels nice, but I guess there is more terror in this universe."

"I also contacted the guardian of this universe. You may be free to reincarnate there!"

John interrupted with a question, "If you want me to be a companion, why are you going to reincarnate me somewhere?"

Nomi answered, "Well, it's better to gain experience and get stronger. It's a place where gods mostly stay, as their own paradise. As the guardian said in that universe, maybe you can meet people stronger and gain experience from them."

"But there are two requirements you should follow. Don't join groups of people for your own safety, as you don't even know what kind of place it is, since it's different from Earth. Second, don't get a wife. That's it."

John found it funny emotionally, looking at Nomi because of the second requirement. Nomi spoke nervously, "Don't judge me; women in this world are different—tyrants and traitors."

"Alright, alright, I know. Don't be a part of people in that universe, and don't ever marry anyone, is it?"

Nomi relieved, "Yes, that's what I mean, hehe."

"Then it's time to depart then."

Nomi spoke, "Before that, a system will appear. It's very helpful to see what you've improved, and there is a part to make you stronger quickly. Choose properly if it appears. Of course, you are my companion; you should be stronger than a god now. But it's not exciting if I make you stronger too fast."

John smiled, "Hey Nomi, better be born into a rich family in my second life."

Nomi smiled, "You're so demanding, but I'm sure you'll be reincarnated into a rich and powerful family. Make it your advantage."

"The time has come; you should go now, John."

As John and Nomi bid farewell to each other, another god appeared. One of them spoke, "Why did you choose a mere thing from that galaxy? There are so many to choose from, dear princess."

Nomi spoke, "I believe I chose the right person, and I believe one day he will become stronger than he is, and..."
