Ascension

A glare from the sun awoken me from my slumber, i felt the soft bed beneath me, opening my eyes, i saw the unfamiliar ceiling above my head.

Looking around i only saw green curtains around me, the smell of Medicine ferments the air, in the gap of the curtains i can see a

person in white walk out of the room. yup it looks like im in a hospital for some reason.

My wounds were all wrapped up in clean bandages, but i felt that all of it are almost healed. raising my arm. i saw it was already 4:53 PM. i cant stay here any longer.

I saw my bag in a table, i pick that up. i grabbed my white tshirt in a hanger and wore it quickly. the only thing im worried rigth now is how will would i even pay for my treatment.

There's a window next to the bed me maybe i can jump down. after a open the window i found out I'm atleast 6 floor above. seeing that i closed the window hurriedly.

Jacqueline migth been the one, who brougth me here. that was the only logical explanation of why I'm here of all places. I hope she would pay for all of this, because im seriously in trouble if now.

*creeeck*

The door suddenly opened, revealing a girl in a blue short dress. on her rigth was little girl about 3 years of age with a very long white hair. Jacqueline walked inside the room holding a child in her rigth arm.

"'I'm surprised you woken up so early" she said. letting go of the child that was trying to get towards me.

The little girl run towards me in full speed and hug my foot. the only thing she can reach. i look towards Jacqueline,a shocked expression was likely written all over my face.

"Erm?....Who is.... don't tell me its our...when did we?"

"No, Its not our child... its the nymph you saved." she said.

I look at little girl, she looks like a tiny doll, she wearing a tiny red floral dress. the nymph has pure pinkish white skin and a gentle face of an angel.

Hugging my legs it looks likes she doesn't plan to let go anytime soon.I look back to Jacqueline.

"Your her vessel, it's natural for her to be so fond of you, as her vessel if you die she will also die. so you can expect her to protect you with her life. but looking at her now I doubt she can do anything, normally Nymphs can control nature elements that they're born from, but because of the abnormality of this realm, i guess this what will happened to them."

I felt something poking my cheeks, Its the nymph she climb up and started touching my head and my hair.

"Are they always like this? " i asked as the little girl started tugging my hair.

"They're beautiful, smart and curious creature Ares, dont expect her to just sit all day and do nothing." She answered.

"i see, how did she turn like this" i asked.

"She materialized from you, after you lose consciousness."

"..." Damian.

"Don't be surprised Ares, our reality is far stranger than what you think, but i think its better that you learn it on your own." She look towards me once again smiles. but i felt that unlike the first time we met her smile became genuine.

When we walk out of the hospital, i learn that her family owns the biggest hospital in steeldawn city. This girl calls me by the name of Ares, while calling herself as my wife.

This beautiful girl i just met this day was my wife?, it's beyond crazy but after all the things that just happened this day. I think there was possibility that she was telling the truth. i guess time would tell.

The little nymph let out a small yawn before curling up in my lap and vanished. i felt a warm sensation in my chest.

"its looks like was already tired" Jacqueline said.

Jacqueline offered to return me, to my apartment so i gratefully accepted, I could already consider her as a friend at this point why would I refused.

reaching my home i saw greeted by my angry sister because of my wounds, after lying like a boss i got he to calm down, after having supper with my sister i go to bed and go to dream land.

~*~*~*~*~*~ next day.

I was woken up by the little nymph. it looks like, this little thing has her perks. standing up from bed I told the Nymph to hide again because I don't know what to say to my sister if she saw this child, so its better to hide for now.

Doing my daily ritual of getting ready to school I hurriedly grabbed my bag and run to school.

Reaching the gates a suddenly trembling from the ground startled the shit out of me.

*craaaaack craaack*

A deafening sound of ground breaking apart booms the whole city. the i saw a huge tower slowly sticking out from a distance. that must have been the city's rice field.

The Huge tower has grew higher and higher until its head touches the sky.

A ancient voice sounded so loud booms the surrounding.

"Wealth, for those with ambition , Power for those who are fearless, and Ascension for those who are worthy "
